The story of soaps wanna talk about a show for and about women then it’s all my children imo. They should have been the contemporary leaders of what was going on with women in the everyday world. I would have enjoyed to see her let loose and head down spiral as the town’s drunk. I Would have married everybody around her and played on that hurt and jealous inside her , maybe even return her teenage bad girl ways. I also honestly would have kept her around Ryan, she need to be with someone younger for awhile. They aged her by pairing her with Adam. They didn’t need any new villains, Liza was their resident baddie who never really grew up imo. She could have hired a Dixie lookalike just to taunt tad (cough) “Di Henry” (cough). As for Fusion, I wanted that to be her new baby. I mean Mia and Greenlee left anyway. We could’ve gotten Liza vs.Erica in business. We also can bring Brooke into the mix with her magazine maybe she’s giving Fusion too much good press and Erica hates it. Ryan secretly working for her as she promises to make him the next Adam Chandler. I would have her go after Jackson because I can’t stand him with Erica. she deserved a true romance finally after so many years. C’mon Marian found true love before her and she set front row to that marriage that’s gotta hurt! What do you give a women who had it all, everything besides the guy that dumped her. So sad she probably would’ve saved that show and they didn’t want that. I liked this one. Happy to see Missy and Josh. Rebecca really thinks people like greenlee and Ryan ?!

he was more reserved than usual imo. well he certainly didn’t lie about this LOL. Even though this is/was my favorite soap. You gotta admit it was a mess and uneven as early as Bianca baby switch. I never could understand how writer after writer just couldn’t get this show right! I remember liking the place all the major stock characters were in around this time too! Liza especially, her character was begging to be moved into a new direction and thought the fusion storyline was the beginning of they she just leaves.

Agreed! She was surely missed too. They could’ve asked his more storyline Questions too. Mines too! But I can tell Jacob is a bit uncomfortable. These things end too Quick lmaobvs.

What better show to give the superstar treatment of reunions than my Golden Soap Opera. Loved both episodes, with Episode two just a bit higher for me. I wish the entire teeN set of 82/83 was apart of this group.

Sure, we can agree to disagree about Pratt. For 1987, yes it’s one of my favorites and from my understanding of my own research it’s greatly remembered by fans along with ‘82 and ‘85. What years do you consider the show’s golden years! Yes, this was the year cliff and Nina in Hong Kong.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion but Pratt wasn’t that bad to me. He had the wrong title I wish he came on as a EP and someone better got headwriter. Any good writer could turn his decent ideas into compelling television and he did have some good ideas. IMO, 1987 is considered a golden year for the show. I really liked it. I’m actually watching it right now. It’s Definitely a few things I would change to improve it, But it’s perfect show everything just works. Including the Erica/Lazarre/Goldie storyline imo timed just right for the fall and Halloween lmao. Erica kinda seems like a heroine during her pregnancy with Bianca. It’s the happiest she’s ever been.

I definitely agree that the best thing Pratt ever did was make Annie viable to the show. It was funny seeing her say everything fans felt about Ryan and greenlee.

Well I do agree about her playing a vixen. She wasn’t necessary boring to me the beginning they just didn’t use her correctly imo.

Let me take a listen. Ha! I see princess Julie got some bothered. 😘 I also loved cecily and nico. too. Hilary was a great character too. Amc had a lot of career driven females around the 80s.

Yes! I loved them together. Annie in general was the sole reason to watch amc from 2008 until her end.

Why can’t Amc get those decent size shows similar to ones for guiding light and as the world turn? I need more than Erica by herself and more than tad and Dixie. Just my two cents now that I’m rewatching a lot of the middle to late 80s ( I love Julie Chandler by the way she’s someone that was definitely needed to mix it up in the later years) I’m a little upset with the writers because it seems there was some plan to rip away so much from the character of Brooke throughout her time on the canvas. Why was that? Laura should have never die imo.

Hearing him break it all down has me Hooked all over again. I have to go watch what I can of amc’s second half of the 80s. Looking forward to the future parts too.

Not feeling the direction this show is going in. Only think I like is Fallon and Michael together that's it!

My cast: bring everyone back besides shaunnie lol. Add two new girls. I can can not stand Kristen and agree with everything Queen OG said about her at the reunion. She wants to be the new Jennifer! as ridiculous Jackie can be I always loved her. Glad she was able to show another side of herself this season hope it keeps up.

I am sooooo glad you're enjoying the show. I do not see enough knots landing talk anymore. Most people in my offline life have forgotten this show compared to dynasty and dallas. I'm a huge sid/don Murray supporter so season 3 was a hard one for me to get through. Lilimae is in my top 5 fave characters from the series but i never been too crazy about karen. Funny story about ur mom/gram i was raised by a domineering mother which is why karen irritated me so much. Anyhow i am looking forward to ur reactions from season 3 cliffhanger & season 4 mystery starring my second favorite character ciji. Happy viewing!
