OK. What was everyone's take on Kim Zimmer as Nola? I am asking b/c I just watched an episode from '82, and I just never understood the Billy/Nola tryst. Just reading about it seemed icky as Nola was not only with Jason, but was his aunt when he was a teenager. I am just curious to hear from those who watched in real time. I also find KZ's Nola drastically different from the others--very vampish compared to clips of the other Nolas, who were either a social climber who was ambitious OR very calculating.

If I am not mistaken, he is one of the top writers of Tyler Perry's "Sistas." I doubt he has to do BTG along with Sistas and DOOL. I don't think we have to worry about him for now. Plus, if he did join, I think the highest he'd be is a breakdown writer alongside Carlivati.

OMG. How Joyce revealed her affair and revealing she shot Don not knowing the intercom was on for Don to hear it all...😮 That was genius by the writers. I am stunned that Joyce was never brought back in later years to tear through Oakdale. I imagine that her and Lucinda would've locked horns (too) when she wasn't at odds with Lisa. And poor Kim. Were the blueprints of the condo that I've seen clips of her living with Betsy and Andy post-Dan's death? Or was the house nixed altogether? And is this the beginning of the arc of Lisa at The Willows?

OMG. Seeing early Kim and being pregnant with Sabrina is a jewel. Even though she did something so scandalous, Kim still seemed regal and loveable. John and David at odds... Seeing Nancy being a busybody is so odd yet intriguing. I really hope more clips from 70s ATWT pop up. Watching this clip made me misty-eyed as I miss Oakdale.

I am surprised they didn't try and snag him around the time he finished that stint on ATWT. That would've been a perfect time for Alan Michael to return. The story might've been better (too) compared to the story the character got a few years later under the final recast.

Glad it isn't just me cutting back on social media. I am planning to wrap up my time on X soon. I just have to finish going through my follows and find the same people on BlueSky when I find time. I barely post on IG and I've cut back tremendously on FB over the past year. I can see myself phasing both platforms out by the end of the year. I will try FanBase as it is ran by a man here in GA. I never got into TikTok (as it was tied to China), so I don't mind testing this out. Like my time and mental health, I am about to be strategic about where I put my money.

Sadly, I didn't come to fruition until 4 years later, but I do find myself annually going down the rabbit hole and watching the montage of Santa Barbara promos that someone compiled together. Then that'll turn into me watching another compilation on YouTube that has all the soaps (mostly CBS) promos throughout the 80s. 🤣 What a time it must've been to have all those soaps on the air at the time. Luckily, I got to enjoy them in the 90s and onwards.

And that's fine. But we have to keep reassuring each other that this shall pass. I already made a promise that I am getting back into therapy this year. If I have to sedate (via therapy and a prescribed antidepressant) myself to make it through these 4 years, so be it. But I honestly think he won't make it all 4 years. His hubris is going to do him and everyone around him in. Plus, I expect Musk to p*ss people off once he gets in there and all the in-fighting will result in Trump having to choose Musk or everyone else. And knowing Trump, he'll wanna follow the money (Musk). Either way, the spurned party will toss him to the wolves.

Bold needs to be trimmed down to 5 minutes. They don't even try at this point. But that's fine. I feel like BTG is about to force all the shows to step their game up or get lost in the dust.

I agree about all of this; however, my only gripe is that soaps need to revert back to 30 minutes. BTG, because it is new, might be the only one that can handle an hour at this point. All the others need to revert back to 30 minutes max. And I wouldn't be surprised if here in Georgia--especially, in Atlanta, that it becomes the new Mecca for soaps. 27 sets is impressive; however, there is a lot of space here and the studios that I've seen are spacious.
