To me, Carmen and Maria were literally the same character. Both of them were dastardly and only served as spoilers to Tony/Marah and Danny/Michelle. The only difference is that Maria grew to loathe her puppet (Catalina).

As someone who liked the Santos clan (and can admit they did eat the show), the stories for Tony/Danny were repetitive. Theresa and Catalina were literally the same character. Same with Carmen and Maria.

Happy birthday, Don! I wish him nothing but the best. I miss my Dr. Bob Hughes. That aside, Happy birthday of ATWT, too. I miss Oakdale so much.

That's how I feel after watching all them hags (minus Garcelle) on the BH reunion. Cancel the show. Start fresh. And to think Dubai got cast aside and this trashy a** show still is a thing. Ugh.

So it appears that Sutton didn't back Garcelle again, and Garcelle threw in the towel. I don't blame her. Let Sutton keep chasing after Kyle, and Garcelle can go and chase Hollywood money bags. Get money, Garcelle! And I am not going to even acknowledge Erotika Lame calling Garcelle boring when the only time she was interesting was b/c Garcelle & Sutton brought up the lawsuit onscreen. Erotika should've been scrapped the same time Rinna was. Furthermore, Dorit, shut up. EVERYONE online was saying you and PK staged that robbery and still do "allegedly." That whole ordeal was sketchy. And the other women know it and think it, too. Garcelle just had the chutzpah to say it out loud.

Agreed. Look at Vanessa, Joey, and Pamela. I am more interested in learning more about them than I am Ashley and Derek. Ashley is just too saccharine for me. She needs grit, and I imagine she'd've had it as she is one of the "have-nots." Thank God for Eva.

I'd be totally fine with that, too. I so badly want Andre in Dani's orbit full-time anyway. But I think MVJ is trying to make the show inclusive and not get pigeonholed by certain people and the media as just "the Black soap opera."

Well, I beg to differ. Brittany was solid on OLTL from start to end, and Kelly carried OLTL 2.0. Those two actresses can add that much-needed flame to Ashley, who is a drip of a character.

Brittany Underwood or Kelly Missal would be my choices for Ashley recast. For Derek, Tyler Johnson, who played Theo on Y&R wouldn't be bad. I wouldn't mind Darin Brooks. Or Robert Gorrie. Or Matt Atkinson.

He's solid. I forgot he was in Dreamgirls (the movie), too.

Exactly! Ted?! He was one of the strongest additions to the cast outside of the core 4. Again, I really hope he wanted out b/c he couldn't handle the schedule. I just don't want this show to fall into tropes of fallen soaps. Yes, people will come and leave and roles will be recast; however, I don't want this show to have 349 Eva recasts in 2 years. I want this show to win so bad. But congrats to Keith. He is a solid actor and a good catch for the show.

Love Keith Robinson as he was the green Lightspeed Rescue Ranger and he played on Half & Half a few episodes, but I liked Maurice Johnson. He was a good find for this show. I am hoping that he chose to left versus them getting rid of him b/c if the latter, I need to have a chat with production. If anyone needs to be recast, it is Derek. But even for a new soap, I think it is too early to be recasting on production's side. I don't need this show panning out to be like Santa Barbara or Loving where they were recasting like it wasn't a joke.

Yep. And she can easily phase them out once the inexperienced writers gain footing. And I don't mind camp, which the show has already displayed, in moderation and when it makes sense. But I don't see Jamey or Ron being in the driver's seat anytime soon.

^ This. A breakdown writer only has power to take MVJ's bible/projections and break it down into episodic form. At the end of the day, they still have to answer to her. I don't think she's going to allow JG and RC to camp it up and have it be a mess like DOOL was. I understand her hiring them as they're seasoned and she's worked with Jamey before. She knows his work ethic. And I don't even mind them pitching ideas to her, but I think MVJ is strong enough to know her vision and know how to rein them in. At the end of the day, this is her baby. I doubt she's gonna allow anyone to destroy it. That aside, why am I just noticing that the show is being preempted due to basketball?!

Is Jacob dense? I am asking b/c why does he think that someone accepting money on the street equates to a crime? Especially, when no illegal transaction occurred. And isn't his father a cop, too? And stakeouts take weeks, months, even years to get enough incriminating information. I need him to get it together. I do feel like it was a grim sign when Marcel mentioned his upcoming retirement. I don't think he's going to make it. I think he'll die just shy of that date. Naomi going after Bill's firm is juicy and ripped from the headlines. Just what soaps are supposed to do. Sexual harassment/the Me Too movement is still prevalent, and I am glad that BTG is leaning into getting topical again. I think soaps lost their edge when they solely focused on bed-hopping instead of ripping stories from the new. Law and Order thrive thanks to doing that. I never understood soaps steering away from it. Eva v. Kat is everything. There is no cliche good girl in the matter. Both of them are ice-cold and willing to get dirty. Yes, I would've preferred for Eva to not do the cliche thing and lodge her fangs into Tomas (I suggested Jacob but I digress), but I am here for it. Anita and Vernon = love, BUT I need the exposition to cease. They're telling instead of showing us. At this point, I don't need their backstory of how they fell in love every scene. We know it at this point. The chemistry is there. What I loved was watching them get saucy with each other at the end of the episode. I need more for them! I wanna know more about Anita's band members. I know Anita was Diana (Ross) in that group. Where are the other bitter band members?! Paging Vicky Rowell, Amelie Marshall, and Debbie Morgan! Hayley is a weirdo. How can you expect a subdivision that was built by Dani's family to accept you? Girl, you should've moved to another gated community and established yourself as "queen bee" there. I'm over her whining. Girl, you got Bill. Be happy.

I am so glad that my TomKat got some scenes today. I need more of them. I just hope they don't have Kat be a cliche heroine that lords her virginity over Tomas' head. If so, I can so see Eva giving him what he needs. But as I said before, I'd prefer for Eva to stick to Kat by bedding Naomi's hubby. I am over Dani's antics at this point. And no HOA guard would ever give a code to the ex-wife given what's she done. That was farfetched. It's time for Dani to move on. Andre's fine a** is right there. Speaking of Andre, he needs to get out of Ashley's orbit. Ashley & Derek are BORING.

That is her cousin possibly. But something tells me, too, he might be her brother b/c Ted keeps bringing him up. Call me farfetched, but something tells me they're twins and MVJ and Guza might borrow from their Santa Barbara days with the Quinn/Robert twin arc. I assume this b/c I remember Sheila Duckworth and Daphnee Duplaix saying it gets real wacky for Nicole around the end of April. Oh, their marriage is headed towards trouble. I think the detective is about to cause a lot hardship for them going forward. I can foresee him getting Jacob wrapped up in some mess. I want it to happen to b/c it'd put Leslie and Dani at odds, too. Could you imagine those two combustible elements at each other's necks?! Heaven help the DMV area and Fairmont Crest. Oh well. 🤣 They're taking it and elevating the name to new heights! Plus, this TomKat is 🔥. The original was creepy and I feel like Josephine Potter ain't recovered since that mess.

I am eager to see TomKat evolve, and I'd imagine that Eva will probably cause trouble for them; however, I'd be all for Eva even causing trouble for Naomi and Jacob, which we know is going to go awry, as Jacob said he's basically Bill. That'd be a nice twist and would still affect Kat.

Ugh. Martin is the f*cking worst. I can't wait for him to be exposed.
