The original Matthews girls. Susan Trustman as Pat and Liza Chapman as Janet were frontburner for the first two or so years. Jacquie as Alice was supporting. Susan left show business after AW and Liza died in a car crash after leaving the show. Rare to see a photo of all three

Jacquie is only 30 years old in that clip. To me she looks much older but that's how things have changed over the years. Nowadays, actresses at least a decade older present like this thanks to the botox/fillers and various other treatments. And of course dress a lot younger.

KT was the daughter of director Sam Wood who directed some classic films (Kitty Foyle. Kings Row,Goodbye Mr Chips et al)and had been acting for 40 years or so-she started in radio soaps. Her son Christian Marlowe dabbled in soaps (Love of Life). He ex husband was Hugh Marlowe (Jim Matthews AW and many Hollywood movies in the 50's) So quite the Hollywood family dynasty.

This photo is dated Feb 19 so maybe other dates are incorrect also. I'm also thinking that Neil Sedaka did not perform at Wired for Sound. The presence of Bea Reardon and the maid suggests he was a guest at some other sort of swanky event around that time.

I don't believe that the Meadows adopted Ellen's child -rather just cared for him while Ellen decided what to do. From a 1958/59 synopsis But a new man soon comes into Ellen's life: Dr. Tim Cole, a research colleague of Dr. Doug Cassen. The two have a passionate affair, but Tim is keeping something from Ellen: he is already married to someone else. Ellen soon finds herself pregnant. Since she doesn't want anyone in Oakdale to know she's going to have a baby out of wedlock, Ellen leaves for Columbus, where she stays with Dr. Joe Meadows and his wife. It is there that Ellen gives birth to a baby boy she names James, after her late father. Ellen, who has just given birth to Jimmy, feels betrayed that Tim didn't tell her about his wife, Louise. Therefore, Ellen leaves Jimmy in the care of Dr. Meadows, and she starts dating Burt Stanton, a friend of Jeff's. Ellen and Burt soon become engaged, but Burt breaks the engagement after learning of her affair and baby with Tim. With seemingly nowhere else to turn, Ellen gives up Jimmy for adoption. This seems like rerun of the JT story. Another 'dead' body in Victoria's house...another cover up? Or maybe Ashland will survive and agree not to press charges against Nick in return for whatever. And this is the first time in years we've seen the entrance and stairs at Victoria's ugly blue house.

Arlene Dahl played Lucinda on One Life to Live.Frustrating that they would make such a mistake. I'm certain other daytime performers were missed. And why use that ancient picture of Donald May when there are plenty of photos from when he played Adam. Peg English was Pheobe's sister-in-law, Brooke's mother. although it was revealed later that Peg was not Brooke's birth mother.

Danfling. The Girl from Peyton Place came about early in the show's run and episodes were shown on PP when Betty went to New York. The spin off was set but then for whatever reason the decision was made to expand PP to 3 nights a week rather than use the 3rd night for the new show. "HILLTOP HOUSE" with Bess Johnson Colgate -Palmolive -Peet Co. WABC-CBS, Monday through Friday, 5:45 -6 p.m. Benton & Bowles, Inc. WARM HUMAN INTEREST SERIAL WITH ORPHANAGE LOCALE, WELL WRITTEN AND ACTED. Bess Johnson, long known as the voice of "Lady Esther ", has a neat little vehicle in this "Hilltop House ", authored by Addy Richton and Lynn Stone under the nom de plume of "Adelaide Marston ". The house in question is an orphanage, and Miss Johnson is the matron in charge. Opening episode lost no time in setting the scene and arousing immediate listener interest and sympathy. Both the script and the writing stood out as well above the average serial. Characters heard on the first program included a colored cook and some likeable kids. Drama enters the picture with impending likelihood of the orphanage having to close shop. Just then word comes of a stranger having fainted near the orphanage gates, and this supplies the note of suspense to carry over into the next chapter. Cast of the serial also includes Carleton Young, Irene Hubbard, Jay Austin. John Moore, Janice Gilbert and Jimmy Donnelly. Miss Johnson assists on the commercials, which are not overdone
