  1. @BoldRestless From the descriptions on https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/les-feux-de-l-amour , I'd say the episodes are from June 2017. Also https://www.soap-passion.com/les-feux-de-l-amour/ for other French speaking countries.
  2. In a way, I'm relieved I stopped watching live as of Fall 1992. It would have been painful to witness the destruction as it unfolded. Speaking of which, this month marks 25 years since JFP left as EP.
  3. After a best of Queen Stephanie week, there should be a best of Sally Spectra week. It was Sally's arrival that was the turning point of B&B.
  4. My online watching for the first time was episodes from September 1992 to March 1994 (I watched Spring 1989 to Summer 1992 both live and online). After Maureen's death, it was the Buzz hour. I stopped my online watching when I got to Nancy Curlee's last episode.
  5. Those four are the Abbotts to me. Y&R made a big mistake killing off John Abbott, he was the heart of the family. I still miss Terry Lester. I often wonder how he would've played Jack's 1990s storylines, if he would've gotten a Lead Actor Daytime Emmy after his 4 consecutive 1980s nominations, and if he would have eventually left Y&R before the end of his life. Much like the original families, the Abbotts were almost all recasts less than a decade into their introduction, yet Bill Bell kept the Abbotts on instead of replacing them with a new family.
  6. All hail Queen Stephanie. I want a week of her best bitch slaps from 1987 to 1999 🤣
  7. I remember Leanna disappearing without any explanation in early 1992 but Barbara Crampton remained in the opening credits until that summer I think. I don't remember Leanna returning until 1998 during the Victor/Diane divorce.
  8. Well BD had beef w/ almost everyone LOL. I recall that BD was quite vocal about the nepotism at Y&R in the mid to late 1980s so maybe that's where the rumors of beef w/ MTS come from.
  9. JC wrote about the beef w/ MTS in her memoir and The bigger question is, who didn't have beef w/ MTS? There's beef that's been documented in print/on social media (JC, VR) and beef that's been rumored (BD, RL).
  10. I remember Casey as part of Cricket's rape storyline and that was her last appearance until Nikki was in the hospital after being shot in 1998. I read that too, and maybe that was why Casey was absent for almost 10 years.
  11. I grew up in a suburban area and a big adventure for me was going to the big city downtown and visiting the flagship locations of major department stores. There was something so glamorous about the cosmetic/skin care counters and the clothing/shoes/purses sections in the downtown stores that you didn't experience in the suburb mall locations.
  12. @DRW50 Thanks for posting that video. With everything that's been going on, I've been cooking a lot more at home. In the last month, I've used half my freezer items and used a good amount of my cupboard and fridge items. I don't trust drive thrus, take out, delivery right now, although I admit I miss McDonald's, Starbucks, pizza, Chinese food, sushi.
  13. Wow, even upscale retailers aren't immune. With Neiman Marcus struggling, I wonder what the future holds for their fellow upscale department stores Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue. I consider Macy's more mid-tier; below the upscale department stores but ahead of JC Penney/Sears.
  14. I think that was because of the MTS/JC beef at the time. Notice how Nikki and Katherine were totally absent from each other's lives in the early 1990s when they both went through some heavy stuff (Nikki losing two children and her substance abuse, Katherine's cancer scare).
  15. Bryan Buffington was so little and cute when I watched GL live. I can't believe he turned 40 earlier this month. Yikes, where has the time gone. Kimberly Simms was the only Mindy I saw live; the two after her I saw online. I've often wondered what happened to her acting career. Her name was mentioned in the soap press as a potential recast for some big roles in the mid-1990s (Jennifer on Days, Ashley on Y&R, Vicky on Another World) but nothing ever came of it.
  16. It's a combo of good genetics, good health, good skin care, and good plastic surgery.
  17. Years ago there was a 1968 episode of Lee Bell's Chicago talk show online. She mentioned her two sons, 6 year old Billy and 4 year old Bradley, and that she was expecting a baby near Christmas. The baby as we all know was Lauralee. So in that picture Bill Jr. would be about 15 or 16, Bradley would be about 13 or 14, and Lauralee would be about 8 or 9.
  18. Drake cements his record as the Canadian artist with most #1s on the Billboard Hot 100. Drake is also the 8th artist not from the United States to reach 7 #1s on the Billboard Hot 100. He and Phil Collins each have 7 #1s, and the artists not from the United States with 8 or more #1s are The Beatles (20), Rihanna (14), The Bee Gees (9), Elton John (9), The Rolling Stones (8), and George Michael (8).
  19. I think Drake is going to be the next artist to reach 10 #1s on the Billboard Hot 100, unless Bruno Mars or Katy Perry have monster hits, or Usher has a massive comeback.
  20. OMG I just realized that Kim Zimmer was pregnant with Jake Weary when Reva was pregnant with Shayne. I was watching GL live when I could in the late 1980s/early 1990s. I feel really old now 🤣
  21. I can't believe Maureen Garrett is almost 72 . With her being on the west coast, why hasn't one of the remaining shows tried to cast her? I would love to see Maureen playing a grande dame diva.
  22. Count me in as another Maureen Garrett fan. I thought she was one of the most beautiful women on daytime in the 1990s.
  23. I still miss Michael Zaslow. I'm so glad I got to watch his best work either live on online.
  24. I still can't believe that James Reilly was a part of that great GL early 1990s writing team and then went on to usher in sci-fi era Days. Talk about contrasts.
  25. Usher bringing back that 90s R&B sound.
