  1. Cricket was only there for spring break and summer stories at that time. It wasn't until summer 1986 that Lauralee Bell joined the cast full time and Cricket proceeded to eat the show for the remainder of the 1980s.
  2. The first episode is on the Entertainment Weekly link so I watched it there instead of the edited rebroadcast. From these first two episodes we could see elements of Bill Bell's work that would be used later on, ie. the established upper class family and the working class family. It was surprising at first to see Jennifer Brooks preparing dinner for her family and the Brooks family eating at the kitchen table but I guess upper class in 1973 didn't necessarily mean employing a household staff and having meals in the formal dining room. Looking forward to Katherine's facelift tomorrow and Neil/Dru wedding reception on Wednesday.
  3. All I can say about Brenda Dickson in her recent photos is that she's very well-preserved.
  4. @YRfan23 I would think a Nick/Sharon week would have all Sharon Case episodes, and not the first two Sharons. We already saw Nick/Sharon 1996 wedding, and Cassie's adoption, so I guess the next Nick/Sharon episodes to show could be Noah's birth and Sharon learning Cassie is her child. I also don't want to see anything from the last 15 years.
  5. @YRfan23 That episode might have Sharon #2 and Amy #1. Going by memory here, Julianne Morris came on in early September 1994 (either during the US Open short week or the week after) and Sharon Case came on mid-September.
  6. 70s, 80s, and 90s next week, yay! I'm still hoping we'll get to see EB's first episode, and EB's first scenes w/ MTS, ED, TL. Why hasn't there been a best of Victor week?
  7. @BoldRestless @Soap-princessI don't want to see that.
  8. Do we dare hope for 1980s and 1990s episodes all next week?
  9. @soapfan770 @Darn That casting call for Sophia is like a checklist of every stereotype of Black American females. Way to go MAB
  10. I don't remember Phyllis/Malcolm being shown in bed together. They kissed but that's as far as I can remember they went.
  11. Next week is mostly garbage time.
  12. @Dylan Where did you find the list of next week's episodes? If that's the lineup, I'll be probably be skipping that week.
  13. It's funny that Robert Clary played characters named Pierre on both Y&R and B&B.
  14. Rick Hearst was about 10 years too old to be Matt Clark. He should've been brought on as a new executive at Jabot or Newman, that might have suited him better. The original Billy/Mac story was good but got ruined by recasts. Any idea of what next week's classics are? Global has no episode numbers on their site so far.
  15. I remember reading somewhere that B&B took off in almost all of Europe whereas the only European country Y&R became a big hit in was France. As far as other countries where both were exported, I've also read Y&R was bigger in Israel and Turkey, and both were big in Australia. Bradley Bell was in charge by the time of the Catalina Island crossover (fall 1993). The first rumors of 1 hour expansion were in late 1994/early 1995; Lauren moved to B&B in the fall of 1995.
  16. @soapfan770 Add Detective Wallace to the list as I forgot him. I think Detective Webber was on for about 2 or 3 years but I don't remember any storylines for him outside police work.
  17. @Faulkner@soapfan770 Wesley, Damon, Detective Webber, Mason, Tyler, Jordan, Nate. I think that covers all the attempts to replace Shemar. I don't count Eddie Winslow.
  18. Keith Hamilton Cobb was another epic fail attempt to replace Shemar. Clones can't beat the original.
  19. Of course Shemar just happened to be changing clothes on this episode. I swear every week during Shemar's first three years, there was a scene of him either working out without a shirt on or changing clothes 🤣
  20. You're welcome Taoboi. Only one 1990s episode next week
  21. You're welcome Vee. It seems odd that CBS would air the same episode a month apart. We'll know for sure when CBS releases next week's schedule.
  22. I've put one together, hope it helps. 23. Nikki also made reference to the 1981 episode we saw in May where Victor pretended to be the man servant.
