  1. This country is fúcked.
  2. But, as I said, weren't the states that went to Trump OFFICIALLY called? If so, they seem to be a done deal.
  3. I get what Katie Couric is saying, but weren't most states OFFICIALLY called? That wouldn't be a mirage.
  4. Close? Seems like Trump is running away... Again, I'm bracing for the worst.
  5. But Iowa's overall election record is ruby red.
  6. I honestly never thought he was losing Iowa, poll or no poll.
  7. And this is why I wasn't happy when Joe dropped out. Don't get me wrong: I LIKE Kamala Harris. But she has the unpardonable sins of being a woman and being a woman of color. I knew it would be an uphill climb in this misogynistic country.
  8. Sigh.
  9. With the way things have gone tonight, I'm bracing for the worst. Well, a page or two back, some tweets said the sun belt doesn't look good, either, so...
  10. So, Kamala's only chance is PA, WI, and MI?
  11. I thought New Mexico usually voted blue.
  12. God, I feel sick.
  13. And I miss when candidates were basically normal on both sides and, even if your preferred candidate lost, there was no violence and no fear of doom.
  14. I feel like puking. The stress is unbearable.
  15. I have been nauseous all damn day.
  16. Thank you!
  17. I was busy with the usual embed fight. LOL!
  18. Welp, it's Tuesday on the east coast. Dixville Notch has released its votes. Apparently, it was split 50% apiece for Harris and Trump with 3 votes for each of them. https://x.com/scottycatt/status/1853668201521119525
  19. I feel good knowing I am one of many to help WaPo circle the drain as we fled their defense of a would-be lunatic authoritarian. Gee, those consequences sure like to bite one on the ass, don't they?
  20. Is it me, or does the Dave Wasserman tweet scream depressed/angry Trump supporter? Poor Dave. Womp, womp.
  21. As an alumna of Siena College (Class of 1995!), I'd like to thank my Alma Mater and even the New York Times (which I really no longer respect!) for making Donald Trump and his lackeys miserable.
  22. ...after airing on CBS for DECADES. For the former, however, it is full circle: It began on NBC in 1964, apparently. 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' Moving to NBC, Schedule Air Date Time Seems reminiscent of when CBS lost Peanuts to ABC. (And now, obviously, those are not even on broadcast TV, sadly. Just on streaming via Apple TV.)
  23. You know, with Kamala Harris able to miraculously set up a great campaign in a little under 4 months until election day back in July, I think that should be the norm for every candidate/election going forward. The years-long (yes, plural - seems like people have been obsessing over 2024 since at least 2022!) slog of US elections just lead to needless anxiety and burn out. A few months seems perfect, to me!
  24. Yeah, you know the right is flailing when the uber-tired "Let's Go, Brandon!" is trending on TwitX. Especially since the man is not even in the running. Kinda wish I had popcorn.
