  1. 9th week at No. 1 for “Easy on Me”:
  2. Lol his verbal has always been interesting. And he’s a *real* actor.
  3. Should kill Nikki too, of course. And at least make a serious attempt on Victor. For someone who can cry on cue and produce somewhat credible emotions facially, Melissa Ordway is SO monotone and robotic in her delivery. Zero inflection or emotion in her voice.
  4. A familiar face @Taoboi @Soapsuds
  5. Siya from South Africa 🇿🇦
  6. Rob Zoppo from LA 🇺🇸
  7. Its been a few weeks that I’ve noticed it. Seems like they’re trying a lot of synergy to boost The Talk, though. Akbar (one of the co-hosts) will be on B&B tomorrow.
  8. An interesting pull-out from a Vice article: If you've seen one Joss Whedon project, you've essentially seen them all.
  9. If they had really shown Chance endangering Dominic, and not just being a reluctant, out-of-it new dad, it would have justified Devon’s reaction more. But this show pulls its punches when it comes to drama.
  10. I think they are trying to encourage B&B viewers to sample The Talk in many markets. The B&B end credits segue right into the The Talk’s intro now.
  11. People are saying, why give Joss the platform to push BS? In this case, he throws himself under the bus. He emerges from this interview faaar more damaged than he was when he was silent.
  12. Billy and Lily couch-f**king again. Yay.
  13. Even if you are not ready for the day, it cannot always be night…
  14. Mitchell from I don’t know where:
  15. This juicy man from I don’t know where:
  16. It’s tough with soaps because the sort of long-term storytelling often needed to plant these sorts of seeds is rare due to constant writer/TPTB turnover through the years and a largely perceived-to-be homophobic audience. I think a character who isn’t that well fleshed-out or has been consistently backburnered (e.g. hasn’t had a lot of stories told from their POV, yet has been a constant presence—like a Miguel on Y&R-type) might be the best candidates. There are fewer of them these days, since those are the ones who get the chop.
  17. Francisco from Argentina 🇦🇷
  18. There are some usual suspects who are problematic and would need to be treated with sensitivity (GH’s Michael due to his prison rape, B&B’s Thomas due to his mental instability). But I actually think, pre-Quinn, Carter on B&B might have been a good candidate. He wasn’t ever really explored that deeply and his relationships with women always read to me as overcompensating or trying to follow an expected path.
  19. Jasson from the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 in LA 🇺🇸
  20. Aside from live U.S. team sports, which seems to be rebounding, all of TV, broadcast and cable, is in a huge existential crisis that goes well beyond the soaps these days. ABC, CBS, and NBC seem to have bigger fires to put out than the relatively stable soaps. Aside from DAYS, which could transition to Peacock, barring unforeseen changes, I feel like the remaining soaps will stay put as long as network TV itself remains greatly viable, which is a big “if.” However, creatively, these shows would be far better served on streaming. Right now, they are just placeholders being strip-mined for cash and serve a dying yet still relatively profitable audience in the short term. They’d be freed up to do more interesting things (which DAYS is experimenting with) away from the purely ad-supported broadcast world. That’s my guess.
  21. I’m usually uncomfortable with recasts. But HT has butchered her face so much and her Taylor had become such a nutcase, that she was basically unrecognizable to me. KA feels like a nice reset.
  22. You should move to the Middle East, man.
  23. I wish these soaps would find that happy medium.
