"Carson Boatman still can't act" should be DAYS' answer to "Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead".

Bringing back Brenda/VM (and reuniting her with Sonny) is just part of it. The bigger part is accepting that the "Carly/Jason/Sonny & Friends" contingent has finally played itself out and that the mafia needs to be deemphasized, if not eliminated entirely. (And I ain't just sayin' that, because I happen to despise those characters and everything they stand for. Facts are facts: Jason/SB came back and the ratings actually fell. That ALONE should have been a wake-up call to TPTB.)

And it looks kinda sudden, too! You see DAYS' ratings improving one week, then kind of retreating a bit the second week, then another little bump in the third, and then - BAM! - it's number-two!

Out of context, it's like TA's facial expression and body language are saying, "Really???". Meanwhile, I give it 'til the end of the day before people on Twitter start spreading a rumor that EM instructed the director to have TA stand far, far away on account of her being Black and "smelly."

I think so. I've said once before that I think it was the writers who were there between Pam Long's two stints that made GL more Reva-centric than Long herself. When Long returned, she just more-or-less continued the pattern, probably because that's what P&G or CBS (or both) wanted.

That's possible. But I suspect that Frank was in no rush to GET JJ back until everyone BTS began panicking about the ratings, forcing Frank to make some maneuvers he otherwise wouldn't have made - such as cutting ME loose - in order to free up salary and space for JJ. If Frank actually allows JPS to be written out for good, with no hope of redemption for Billy Joel, then I'll KNOW someone at ABC is holding Frank's ass to the fire.

Once upon a time, there was a chance to tell a story that, in effect, would explain Leo to the audience, but they blew that chance for some ridiculous Diana Colville return that went absolutely nowhere.

YES!! My vote's still for another school bus accident, something that could take out several kids and become an umbrella storyline for the show, like in Russell Banks' novel, "The Sweet Hereafter." I wish! Chances are, though, he'll just regenerate into another new character, "Doctor Who"/Frank Valentini style.

I think that was due to the change in EP's, from Robert Calhoun to Laurence Caso. I don't remember the Calhoun period being so sedate, lol. I wish I COULD forget it, lol!

You're welcome! It's ironic how all three actors in that commercial worked with Bob Newhart at one point or another.

It might have been too expensive to update whenever needed, but I would have preferred a montage of scenes set to the show's original theme song.

Or, it'll lead to Frank hiring a bunch more people to play members of his family, thereby expanding GH's cast to 1000 actors strong. Time will tell.
