DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Reilly had characters (and us viewers) ignore the obvious social cues everywhere... good grief, from Austin/Carrie to Bo/Hope/Billie. One thing that bugged the hell out of me, especially during his 2.0 (2003-2006) era was when characters would literally stand and look off to the side while having a flashback. Like, you'd have people like Belle, Philip, Shawn grilling Jan Brady about something and Jan literally takes a step to the side, looks far off camera and has her flashback moment. I wanted the other characters to be like "WTF? What are you doing? Snap out of it!"

He is such a panty-dropper. I imagine a lot of women and gay men were giving themselves some self-love in the afternoon during his 90's heyday

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Sigh... 1996 for DAYS was wonderful, start to finish. The Aremid storyline will always be my favorite, and it should be noted that it was during the Aremid arc that DAYS not only hit No. 2 in the Nielsen ratings, but *STAYED* at No. 2 until December of 1997. We can thank "Tony" (or whomever) for framing John and the Lady in White walking around town in white lace for DAYS' Nielsen victory, not a possessed Marlena ...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Okay, what is the Cliffs Notes summary of the Beverly Hills housewives coming for each other on Twitter? Twitter is such a rabbit hole I try to stay away from as best I can. Last night's NY was another hilarious adventure. Funny how Sonja started out the day saying she wanted to keep it healthy and didn't want to drink, and ends up being sauced by noon, peeing in the corn maze, and being loud and adorably obnoxious in general. She is such a character. As Dorinda and Leah are trying to have a deep discussion, Sonja interjects with her sloppy side stories that Ramona semi engages in. Dorinda once again goes too hard on Tinsley. Yeah, perhaps Tinsley could've kept her under-the-breath comments (about being open and sharing) to herself, as you know that'll rile Dorinda's feathers, but she certainly had every right to call her out. I felt bad for Tins, because although Ramona first tried to comfort her, in the end, she and Sonja backed up Dorinda. She really is on her own island with this group and always has been. Kudos to Lu for taking the time to talk with her one-on-one. The dynamic is sad/interesting.... Dorinda, Sonja, and Ramona (to a lesser extent) have a hard time letting go of the past and wish they could travel back in time like nothing changed. Yes, Ramona has adjusted much better than the other two, but you know she wants that companionship and safety net of a meaningful man that she had for so many years. LuAnn is the only one who has truly come out from the other side, shedding that Countess persona and creating a brand new happy life for herself.

HBO Max: Head of the Class reboot
Ditto! I used to love watching this show in reruns as a kid. Of course, like so many late 80's sitcoms, what was considered good then doesn't hold up well nowadays, but I liked that cast of characters. My favorites were when they put on plays (Grease, Lil Shop of Horrors, Hair)

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Ugh. Total trash. It is so aggravating to see Gov. Tony Evers' stay-at-home order to be reversed by the Republicans. As a new Wisconsinite living in the state's capitol (Madison), I can tell you most folks around here have been taking this seriously for the last two months. Just this morning I had to make a Wal-Mart run, and nearly every customer I saw is still wearing a mask. Overall, our COVID-19 numbers have always remained low and with good reason. I certainly won't be going to a bar anytime soon! Our gym is about to open back up too, but we're like, nah... as much as I love the gym, it's a cesspool for germs, no matter how many times they spray stuff with a contaminated cloth over the equipment. @Faulkner Well wishes for your family

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I am loving Denise more and more and her appearance on WWHL was delicious (she was unfazed by the ragamuffin comment, but you know she'll dig in Kyle later for insinuating she's of a lower class). Loving her hard edged focus on calling Kyle out. And dare I say it, last night I actually was cheering on Dorito? I *loved* how she pointed out that in Teddi's first season she had no glam, and 2nd season suddenly had a squad and was rocking designer names. The Sutton thing was kind of random, but Rinna went too hard saying she could have potentially ruined her daughter's event. Calm down, Lips. And in other Hypocritical Kyle news, she felt ganged up on with everyone piling up on her. Aww... how she conveniently forgets what they all did to LVP in seasons 4, 6, 9, and various times in between. Nice try, Elvira. Yay to Denise finally mentioning The Bold the the Beautiful! And that's 10 episodes over the course of 4, maybe 3 days. I don't think B&B has filmed on a Friday in years. P.S. Love seeing Camille filming a talking head! Slay, girl, slay!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It definitely was edited well, going back and forth between headshots to keep the energy up. In fact, they almost did the switching up a little too much, IMO. Kenya had us rolling, saying Nene looks like she's from the movie White Chicks, and also saying in a very clever, evil but ultimately hilarious way that nobody would ever second guess that Nene's sons are indeed her sons. The shade! In the words of Jill Zarin at Season 3's reunion: "I agree, a thouzind percent!" I totally respect Bethenny's relief efforts and her business savvy, but she was a lot to take in as a RHONY viewer and I think her absence is indeed a refresher for the rest of the core cast. I'm also getting to like Leah, and she's already gotten the respect of Ramona who usually hates younger newbies, plus Leah already *gets* the messy essence that is Sonja. I'm totally loving this season, too. LOL, and as I catch up on this thread, I see @Antoyne and @Faulkner already said all this

Y&R to air classic episodes
That deep, almost growling sound they used in the 1993 & 1998 episodes (Jack/Victor, Brad/Lauren, Katherine/Jill) is so effective, as well as the overall dark ominous tones of the background music in these scenes. Music plays an important part in creating the mood, and Y&R did it beautifully back in the day.

MTV: RuPaul's Drag Race
Agreed. She was impressing me for awhile, but then it all became the same, and he's hyped himself up to be this perfectionist who can never do no wrong, but he's not living up to his own expectations, nor mine. I loved Heidi's goodbye speech. Miss Congeniality for sure! If nothing else, she could always take over doing the voiceover of the old man on Family Guy who's always lusting after Chris Griffin, lol Jaida Essence Hall for the win! (P.S. he's pretty cute as a dude!)

Just outta curiosity, did anyone prefer Charles In Charge Grace instead of Jennifer Gareis?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I've always been apprehensive of "liking" Porsha for the very reasons mentioned regarding the Kandi rape fake allegations. Even before that, I thought she was too much of a dumb THOT post-Kordell. And her first season with Kordell also made her look dumb and foolish. Underground railroad anyone? However, I finally warmed up to her in the past couple years, due to her wanting to start a family and be happily pregnant, not to mention her side digs and jokes have improved drastically. Nene is Nene. I'll always love Seasons 1-4 Nene. At one point, she seemed to outgrow the show, and now the show seems to have outgrown her. Her rising star has fallen and now she comes off as the bitter old hag diva who's mad at anyone stealing her spotlight.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Kyle getting picked on by Dorit and Rinna, with a silent co-sign from Denise puts a smile on my face. And sigh... that "Goodbye Kyle!" flashback makes me miss the true Queen of Beverly Hills. The build-up between Kyle & Dorit seemed a little too "tits on an ant" (i.e. squeezing a story out of basically nothing) but here we are. It'll plant the seeds of discord and we'll watch it ride out. I was loving Denise's reaction when they were all talking about threesomes and kissing other women and Denise is worried all the kids at the other table are listening. Was it Erika then in her talking head making reference to Denise in Wild Things? Good one. I kind of like how Dorit will always find something bothersome about Teddi. These chicks are such co-stars, not friends.

Look at Ron Leath doing double duty being a server at the Colonnade room in addition to his heavy duty schedule being Henderson the butler at Victor Kiriakis’ mansion. 😄

HULU's "Little Fires Everywhere"
Apple TV. I know. Crazy how many damn streaming platforms there are now. The Morning Show has Reese, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carrell and a great ensemble. The premise of it highly resembles the real-life Matt Lauer / Today Show fiasco.

Primetime Soaps
Never heard of it, but there's a pre-GL Kevin Mambo (ex-Marcus) on it! And Robyn Lively.... sigh... I would've loved to have seen our favorite Teen Witch go on to bigger things.

HULU's "Little Fires Everywhere"
This is next on my To Watch list. I'm clearly in a Reese Witherspoon mood, because I binged The Morning Show, now I'm on season 2 of Big Little Lies, and will watch this next. Love her!

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Okay, full confession. I always thought the same thing. HOWEVER, when he was on the very first season of Dynasty in 1981 as Michael, the chauffeur who was hooking up with Fallon, he had this cocky, confident swag to him that made him pretty hot. And he was rocking a nice bod, too. Don't know if he kept that up during his 80's DAYS run but he was quite the stud on Dynasty. Yet, any footage I've seen of him on DAYS, I'm just like, "Ew no."

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Denise's hubby and his speech. No, they're not paranoid at all. Or maybe they should be? Cancer is your friend. The one thing he said that made sense to me was saying there are cancerous cells all throughout your body. Rinna and the rest looked stunned. In the words of The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started A Conversation With from SNL: "Learn a book." Rinna's signature 'do is growing out finally. It is long past due. Everything about her looked big - big hair, over-sized pantsuit that needed tailoring, big head. And yes, using her daughter's struggles does not come off as genuine anymore, but as exploitative. Rinna tends to take someone's illness and beat it like a dead horse (her daughter, Kim, Yolanda). Enough.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OMG yes, I was about to start a timer to see how long the outfit compliments were going to last. It's funny how Sutton and her proper etiquette makes the other wives look low-class by comparison. Ha! I will say she'll need to pull the stick out of her butt and get sloppy, which I'm guessing she eventually does. I loved Sutton's blunt description of Teddi, but yes, that was a blatantly planned attack on the producer's/Kyle's part to have Sutton sit next to Teddi and then make sure they go clockwise when giving each person next to them their first impressions. Very obvious. Kyle, you still suck as an actress and the camera always catches you. I get the feeling Garcelle is like me when it comes to being in a new crowd - I keep relatively quiet and I observe, observe, observe. And then, outta nowhere, comes my take, my opinion, my feedback on the observations I've made. But you gotta keep it under your hat for a little bit before the big reveal. I'm guessing good things will come from her down the road and I can't wait. Kyle vs. Rinna - Oh, I hope it gets messy. If not this season, then blow up next year. Two desperate princesses vying for the empty crown.
