  1. Theyโ€™re both rotten people, but I saw this and thought yโ€™all might get a kick out of it:
  2. Jumping into this thread randomly and YES, I agree with this 100% Looking back, Revenge would've been a perfect Netflix/Hulu limited series. The first season was awesome, and then it went to hell in a hand basket the second season. It had its moments in the 2nd and 3rd year, but once it was revealed Emily's father had been alive all along, Hubby & I were done with it. With so much to offer these days, I'm finally getting out of the soap opera wheel of monotony and enjoying a lot of series across multiple platforms. Ones I just recently watched: The Morning Show (loved it) Big Little Lies (loved it) Little Fires Everywhere (loved it - 3 Reese Witherspoon dramas in a row! lol) Defending Jacob (it was pretty good; stars Chris Evans) Mrs. America (just binged the whole thing this past Sunday - great fun) The Society (just finished last night... modern-day Lord of the Flies... very good and will likely have to wait over a year for the 2nd installment) What should I do next? I tend to gravitate towards female oriented domestic dramas.
  3. Thanks Cat & @alwaysAMC Just like the soaps were/are, the best ones don't always earn the best numbers ๐Ÿ˜•
  4. I have not seen Episode 2 yet, but I loved see our Potomac ladies back!!! I have to say, I'm glad mommies Monique and Ashley have found a common bond with motherhood, or else Ashley would start to get islanded in her own story. Poor Ashley.... baby Dane looks JUST LIKE his daddy. The permanent scowl on his face is cute as an infant, but we know what he'll look like in adulthood... Robyn... girl... Juan will never put a ring on it. It would make sense to hear rumors he's got someone on the side given the situation, so I'm pleasantly surprised we hear nada. Unless I'm missing something? Gizelle's daughters calling out their own dad for being a phony. LOL But also kind of sad that he only feigns interest in them for their mother's sake, to score brownie points with her. Grande Dame & Ray.... hmm... I smell turmoil. But I love what she pointed out about marrying someone who's nearly 20 years older; everything is fine when you're 30-something and he's 50-something... but once you're 50-something and still interested in building a career and socializing, while he's 70-something and winding down, it creates a new dynamic and rift. Loved the La'Dame shout-outs at Candiace & Chris' party. If this were NYC and Karen was Bethenny, you know she would've been handing out scratch 'n sniff samples with her mug on it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Charriissee... y'all know I had to make a mention of this salty heifer... I did LOL at her stank face during Karen's speech, but otherwise she is such a hater. It's sad but not surprising that Charrisse and Monique had a falling out due to Charrisse bad-mouthing her (anyone know the tea there?). Also, it seemed when we first saw her on-camera, she was croutched in the corner, like she was waiting to latch onto a castmember to make her way into the party. Was she even invited? I don't think Bravo had her mic'ed up initially. Thanks! I'm so out of the loop with Nielsen numbers these days now that TVByTheNumbers is gone, but what's this about NYC tanking? And how's BH faring?
  5. Agreed. Season 7 was the perfect reset for the show (a perfect transition of cast members from the messy 5&6 seasons era as we moved on in season 8 and forward) and the Carole/Dorinda trip and bonding was poignant. Never thought eight cast members would work but it was perfection.
  6. You spelled Turd wrong a couple times in your post, but I'll forgive ya ๐Ÿ˜‚ Love that moment with Sutton (and Denise's reaction, basically saying "Thank you for being a voice of reason here!") Kyle and Terri DeMarco are the absolute worst and Kyle is guilty of doing exactly what she has accused LVP of doing so many times in the past... setting it up for a secret to be revealed to a specific small group, so that the other person in the room goes and spills all and Kyle can act all surprised and shocked they went there (See: Kyle's faux exasperated reaction in the car). Meanwhile, POTOMAC is coming! Can't wait to dish with y'all... NYC: Wow, their place in Cancun is GORGEOUS. I would just stay there the entire time during my trip. They have it all and are right on the beach, too. Jealous! Is this when we finally learn what is up with Sonja? I think she hinted a while back that we'll learn what's going on during a trip. She's got to be on some medication that is NOT to be taken with any alcohol whatsoever. Side Note: We're on page 2001 of this thread! Crazy fun here
  7. This was a wonderful post and sums up all my thoughts perfectly. +1 to all of it. C'mon Lips, c'mon Terri, c'mon Erotika, c'mon Splits, c'mon Dorito ---
  8. I can't even with Brandi. Like, I kind of want to waste my time reading it, but really she's just a clown who says and does anything for another second of fame that already ran out. NYC: At first, I started having flashbacks of The Countess talking to kids about how her family brought over the Statue of Liberty while they all side-eyed her, but Luann actually came off as quite genuine and the support group seemed to embrace her. As someone whose hubby works in the mental health/substance abuse field and deals with women starting over, it's amazing what a trip to a spa can do you for your spirit and self-esteem. Good for Lu for offering that to those women (and a few men, too!) Ramona's party was one for the Housewives Hall Of Fame. Though I do think Sonja and Leah were over the top, Sonja's antics were just too damn funny. And I'm sure Ramona's "MAGA crowd" (as Leah rightfully phrased) knows what they're in for when attending a Singer party with the Bravo cameras rolling. +1 on the Sonja/Dorinda moment. These two need healing and use alcohol as a crutch but the booze affects them differently. As a viewer, the weekly sloshfests are getting tiresome, so I hope this is a sign of some self-reflection to come.
  9. For you longtime Y&R fans, was there always continuous contempt towards Dina as there was when she returned again a couple years back? In soapland, I would think a 3-year run (1983-86) would equal a lot of mending of fences and forgiveness.
  10. For a woman who abandoned her family and children, we've certainly seen a lot of Dina Mergeron throughout a lot of these classic episodes
  11. Brandi's "bombshell" about what Denise said about Teddi was such a non-factor. Does Denise have an issue with Teddi? No. Does Denise have certain opinions about Teddi? Yes. We can all have our opinions about our friends and their actions, but not have a specific "issue" with them. And as you said... Teddi being boring and desperate to be in the circle is as well known as Mauricio's infidelity. Loved the Sutton/Garcelle lunch too. At first I thought they were going to make a stink about Garcelle asking Sutton how she became wealthy, but it was all light and good. Garcelle keeps it real and tries to get to know people below the surface fluff that these BH women are so accustomed to.
  12. Not only can she cut a bitch, but Monique has home court advantage with The Grande Dame behind her. I don't want summer to end, but I can't wait for Potomac to return!
  13. Boy, Krista would make for an excellent Jennifer recast...
  14. Hoping for the very best
  15. My God, how I loved seeing Kris Jenner draped over her old BFF Faye like that. I'm not a fan of the Kardashian empire, but thought this was just the perfect shot. This reunion sounds like a hot mess and I really hope this will finally be the cause for a retooling of RHOBH, keeping Garcelle, Denise, upping Camille to full-time, bring on a legitimate friend of Camille's, perhaps one of Denise or Garcelle's too, and MAYBE keep one of the hags from the Coven if only to give them their just desserts (Kyle, Rinna, I'm looking at you).
  16. Seeing all these old episodes these past couple months, I'm always amazed at how DARK the Chancellor mansion was lit well into the late 90's. It really gives this feeling of a cold, dark mansion that's covered in dust if the light of day were allowed to be shown through the windows. Esther, get to work!
  17. I haven't seen last night's NYC yet, but I do have to say one thing about Elyse & Leah... the new girls are breaking the NYC "girl code" by getting all messy on social media. I haven't kept up with any drama surrounding Ramona's "All Lives Matter" comment, but the petty stuff about shitting oneself during sex and all this other stuff is NOT something any of the NYC housewives have done since the days of Bethenny/Jill/Kelly nearly 10 years ago. Vets Ramona/LuAnn/Sonja/Dorinda, and I'd even add Tinsley, Bethenny, and Carole to the mix in the more recent years... all together have fun and fights on camera, but deep down at the end of the day, they all have each other's backs (minus the Bethenny/Carole friendship ending). These women already reveal so much embarrassing stuff, but it's usually of their own volition (think: Sonja's vibrators, flashing herself, losing teeth, peeing herself). We see women from Beverly Hills, OC, Atlanta, and others be messy on social media, but the NYC women by and large stayed away from that kind of antics. JMO
  18. Last night's RHOBH should've been their half-way reset episode, the way NYC changed gears when they returned. It's always fun to see former Wives return, whether it's just innocent fun (Eileen, Adrienne, Kim, Faye-as-a-friend) or to stir up drama (Camille, gutter-trash Brandi). It's a shame we'll likely never see LVP pop back up, and Taylor Armstrong seems content away from it all in Colorado. Kyle going to meet Camille at the onset was a true "reset" and I loved it. Camille is so desperately needed on this show. I can see her siding with the outsiders (Denise, Garcelle) and forming their own power team. The Witches of Eastwick (ยฉ Camille Donatacci Grammer-Meyer) hags can stay hating in their corner. When Dorit is the one I despise the least of that group, you know there's a problem. When Teddi popped up at the end, trying to be smart with Camille, my hubby was like "Oh [!@#$%^&*], that's why I was enjoying the episode so much until now. Teddi was never on." She's such a buzzkill. Camille/Denise vs. her should be good next week. Gotta mention some additional party guests... Kathy Hilton! Kris Jenner, lol. Is it just me, or does Kris look like Bruce pre-Caitlyn? Must be the facelift. And Brandi's friend... I'm not sure which gender that was but good for her. Re: the video @NothinButAttitude posted... So Harry Hamlin bats for my team and has another home with his male companion. Mauricio has stepped out on Kyle countless times and she knows about it and so does all of Hollywood society. Plus, Nene's getting low-balled by Bravo and she's trying to fight it. (that's losing battle, IMO. Better take the paycut or peace out)
  19. Ha! An Alex McCord gif will always get me to giggle. Between that and the tea about Rinna's and Kyle's hubbies... wow. I sure hope Old Home Week on tonight's RHOBH will uplift my spirits because last week, after depriving us for nearly a month, was the same ol' same ol' with the hag Mean Girls ganging up on Denise. The saving graces are Denise holding her own (thanks Aaron!) and Garcelle calling a bitch out. Camille, give us the goods, girl! RHONY at least gave us a legit reset of their current season, with Tinsley gone, a freshened up opening, and a refocus on who the instigators are and who's fighting whom. Elyse is really coming into her own in this group, but I agree that we viewers should've been given a more rounded out impression of her, her back story, her life, etc. LuAnn just made me laugh at her reaction to Sonja's complaints about money. Listen, as someone who saw her show in November right after these episodes in the Berkshires were filmed, I can say she can ENTERTAIN. And it was all her and her D-list friends; no Sonja in sight. (But no hint of any quarreling with Sonja) The place wasn't sold out, but everyone had a great time. With Dorinda and Lu going at it this week, I hope this is the beginning of the women having real, serious discussions about the erratic, emotional downward spiral Dorinda is going through, because she's getting worse and worse.
  20. Add both recent Thornes to the list mama Stephanie would be disappointed in...
  21. Came here to post this. Ah yes, but there's a double entendre with the word class when dealing with the upper echelon of Beverly Hills.
  22. Ha! I posted that photo. Glad to see it making the rounds.
