Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Re: Denise F**king Richards gif for Monique's receipts. Yep! And we know Monique's delivery will be eons better than Denise's reunion performance. WORD to the part in bold. And as I said last week, my husband has made immense progress in his own therapy for dealing with anger issues. Has hubby lashed out? Absolutely. Does he regret his actions? Absolutely. Does he still have moments where he WANTS to get physical? Absolutely. Does he? Absolutely not. HOWEVER... hubby was literally having a trigger moment watching Potomac last night and seeing this narrative of Candiace trying to paint herself as this innocent victim. It is something that my hubby's former friend did in order to make herself look innocent without fault, while making my hubby look like a typical angry black man. I had to quickly diffuse the situation and not let REAL television affect REAL life. No, he didn't pop off, but you could tell he wanted to take a break from watching to let out a mini vent. It hits close to home for him.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Gutter trash. POTOMAC: Wow, that was a ride! Definitely one of the all-time best episodes of any franchise. Right up there with Scary Island. I *loved* that piping hot tea Monique spilled on WWHL. So direct and matter-of-fact. You know she has ALL those receipts lined up and ready to dish out when the time is right come reunion time. From Gizelle's 8-year affair to the Candaice/Charrisse/Gizelle plan to say her child was the product of an affair with her trainer... it's all coming out and I can't wait to see it play out. Wow. Kudos to Karen and Ashley for having Monique's back. Side Note: I can see this being Monique's exit, by her own choice. Set it on fire and walk away as it burns down...

See, now THIS is why I love RHONY. These bitches know how to have FUN and Bravo knows how to present them as fun. I was laughing the whole time during the Secrets Revealed episode. So much different feeling than watching the RHOBH secrets. Side Note: I'm already tired of this narrative of Leah being the "future of RHONY." Bitch, you had one good season. Let's see how you fare during the 2nd season curse.

The Politics Thread
@Vee and everyone who posts these twitter posts, updates, and links to various sources on this Politics thread, I just want to give a shout out and thank you. I don't post much in this thread, but I'm always reading and checking out the resourceful links you post. Thank you, thank you, thank you. There's my gratitude post. The thing with the 103 degree fever gets no sympathy from me.

Your posts give me hope I just don't want to see this man come back stronger and tougher two weeks from now saying it's not a big deal and it's just like the common flu and yadayadayada. Side note: Despite what's going on, we better not be deprived of a Pence/Harris debate!

She always looked like she had a stiff neck like the dude from 90 Day Fiance. LOL at her demotion. Someone behind the scenes is FINALLY listening.

I get calls all the time that I presume are political, based on the numbers calling and based upon the fact that I'm signed up to receive text alerts and get A LOT. My husband will answer his because of the nature of his job and then just hang up. One time, he got one that was Republican-based and he told them to eff off. I taught him well.

I'm counting on Kelly getting the bad edit and this being her final year. Honestly, I don't have high hopes for OC this season, but they could prove me wrong. Right now as I see it, if OC never returned I wouldn't miss it.

I echo pretty much everything people are saying about POTOMAC's epic episode. I actually loved they went back to "everyday life" after the big fight, knowing what was slowly simmering for the weeks ahead. And I also appreciated how they cut any background music or hype and just let the footage of the fight play out and speak for itself. REAL. Beverly Hills, take note: Viewers are not interested in fakery fluff anymore. I am married to someone who has "seen red" from time to time. It is a blinding rage of anger and it is something that needs to be acknowledged, worked through, and hopefully contained if a future heated moment arises. Monique is by no means innocent (and her side-stepping producers on the staircase and going back out to find Candaice was all a part of the same thread of that blinding rage... she hadn't come down from her "high" yet), but Candaice had it coming to her. Sorry if there's disagreement on that. I hope Monique has gotten through her anger issues, as my hubby has done, because he's come a long way and I've seen the progress and change. Candaice was the Kenya and Monique was the Porsha. Candaice poked the wrong bear. Candaice fights with her tongue; Monique fights with her fists. And so goes Krystle Carrington dragging Alexis' ass into the lily pond. +1 to everyone's sentiments regarding Karen being the MVP, Karen and Ray, Ashley rightfully getting her coins, and Gizelle's dad on the hot mic... Great episode. Can't wait for next week!

NYC: Dorinda almost semi-redeemed herself at the end of the night where she acknowledged she was in a bad place and had anger and maybe should've taken a year off. Maybe she'll be back in Season 14 (if the rest of the OG's are still there...). Dorinda was a shitty friend to Ramona but it's funny how Ramona gets no sympathy from the audience via Twitter. Oh well. Side Note: On WWHL, Andy had Bethenny on, and a lil nugget of info slipped when he asked her a series of questions regarding regrets over the years on RHONY. He asked if she regretted making Alex McCord "the messenger" in the 3rd season when she relayed that message to Jill, and she said, "No because that's what kept her on the show." Makes me think perhaps Alex was already on the chopping block during filming of the 3rd season (hence bringing on Sonja and Jennifer, with Sonja ultimately getting the Housewife spot). I for one am glad she stuck around through seasons 3 and 4. Otherwise, we'd never have gotten that wonderful "Herman Munster shoes" dig via LuAnn....

I look forward to reading about Kyle and Terri's longstanding friendship that has remained years from now. Kidding. She will drop Terri DeMarco faster than GL dropped Signy Coleman.

I feel like Rinna's one where if they give her enough rope, she'll hang herself. And they're counting on it. Like Dorinda, like Nene, like Vicki... I'm sure they can see the trajectory of a popular housewife becoming strongly disliked. [Sadly, we'll never be rid of Kyle until the show itself ends]. Which means Rinna will probably get one more year.

Ha! Someone's been reading our comments, lol. Oh wait, it's just what EVERYONE has been saying these past 3 years. I nominate this for Best Housewives GIF of 2020. I hope to see this one a lot as casting news of RHOBH continues to leak...

Just a few seconds ago, I saw a clip from Nene on Twitter..... she's outta there! She won't be a part of Season 13.

Saturday Night Live: Discussion Thread
Excited for the new season and so glad they're not doing "At Home " editions. When I first saw the photo of Lauren Holt, I thought she could be Aidy Bryant's younger sister. I hope we get more of Bowen Yang's SoulCycle instructor this season... 😂

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, she's feeding into the hype. But just like a soap opera headwriter can tout his or her new family as being a hit with viewers, that doesn't mean said viewers are watching to see them. It reminds me of when people were all excited about Brandi joining Beverly Hills in season 2 (and an official castmate in season 3), as she's this blunt "truth teller" to combat the stuffy socialites... until she became erratic, volatile, and messy.

Highlight of the night. She felt zero intimidation by him and said everything she needed to say. Admittedly, I mostly watched to hear the questions, and would speed past the majority of his answers. No use wasting my time on his B.S.

Oh wow, she's really smelling herself over there. Yes, you had a good season, but you're still easily expendable. LuAnn has put in 12 years; Sonja 10. Gimme a break. Yeah, asking for a bump up from 60K is understandable, but you're no veteran.

On one hand, I'm super glad she's returning. She takes no [!@#$%^&*], keeps it real, tells it like it is, and sees you coming a mile away. But on the other hand, she'll have a target on her back. Her and Dorit will have to stick together to fend off the 4 witches.

Yeah, that bugged me. Also, I think some beef originally transpired between Teresa and Jacqueline because Jaq was in talks to be the spokesperson for some brand and then Teresa swooped in and got it instead. [Let's be real though. Tre has always been "the face" of NJ, since day one with her table flipping].

What Are You Watching/Binging/Streaming Now?
In recent weeks, I've binge-watched: - Strangers Things (all 3 seasons) - Mrs. America - Unbelievable Loved Stranger Things & Mrs. America. Unbelievable was good, but I wouldn't give it the award for Best Limited Series (I'd probably go with Little Fires Everywhere or Mrs. America... although I haven't seen Watchmen yet)

I actually would *LOVE* for Heather Locklear to join, but also hesitant for her sake and her health. But I absolutely adore Heather and would love to see her let loose, relaxed, and see her in a fun 'n friendly environment... until she has to deal with The Coven. Sheesh. If only it were 5-7 years ago when the show wasn't so ugly and toxic. The best scenario would be seeing Heather join, back in full force and healthy, and using it as a one-season wonder to boost her career back up, a la Garcelle. Them Melrose/Models Inc gals can show 'em how it's done

Agreed. As hubby said as she spoke, "She's a true Trumper..." But like you said, I see no problem with her celebrating cinco de mayo while quarantined at home with her daughter, nor any other happy quarantined moments. Leah was acting like everyone should stay somber and morbid 24/7.
