Hmm.. Should we be looking for Stephen Schnetzer in the background of any DAYS actors' social media postings on set? We know how Carlivati works...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
LOL I thought of @Taoboi when Meredith said it, cackled, and they did the flashback. I don't think last night's episode was a Heather pile-up; it was a Jen Shah pile-up. Good grief that woman is a mess (cue the added narrative of anti-depressant usage). After all that flip-flopping and shoe-throwing, she says Angie K is the most dependable friend for her? And she doesn't remember coming after Lisa on the boat? What a hilarious trainwreck.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I have old SOD's from 1991-1993, and after all the continuous speculation about Manhattan Lives, Coming Of Age, as well as the worry about Another World getting the ax and the last-ditch casting efforts to save Santa Barbara, it's pretty remarkable that we ended up with only 2 soaps by '93, both of which are the longest-standing shows. You would've thought for sure SB would've been replaced by a new sudser.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Yeah, the whole trajectory of DAYS would be SO different if Marlena and (WN) Roman were spun off to Manhattan Lives and stayed. Tony & Anna were to be a part of it too, prior to Thaao returning to DAYS in '93. Manhattan Lives could've potentially had legs to it, but Aremid would fizzle after the novelty wore off. Similar to the ideas about a Salem High (the Last Blast crowd) or Harmony High from Passions. They all sound like something that would only last a few years.

Flashback to exactly 5 years ago when the morning show scandal was all about Matt Lauer. Perhaps another "Morning Show" type of TV show will emerge out of this and Reese Witherspoon will play Amy Robach.

Dumb question, but where do Peacock promos for DAYS actually get advertised? They barely promoted DAYS when it was on NBC, save for a couple during the daytime, I think.

Thankful for anything on soaps from 2000-today?
There have been moments here and there since, but by and large for me, the last really fantastic year for both "my" shows (DAYS and GL) was 2002.

All valid questions; all valid points. But they don't do character development on this show anymore. Just plot, plot, plot and uneven focus on characters and storylines due to scheduling and guarantees.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I agree, this episode was good and is setting us up for more juiciness to come. Because I gotta say, overall this season has been very hit or miss, episode by episode. We had that one episode when it was still just the 5 castmembers, where we all admitted fatigue/concern over this smaller cast, only to randomly have an influx of new supporting characters in the next episode. Producers did a piss poor job of introducing the new "friends-of" characters. As Real Housewives are modern day soap operas, you must live by the golden rules of soaps - slowly introduce new characters through existing characters. For me, when we suddenly had random drama with the brand new supporting roles, it was kind of a "Who cares?" for me. We had no intro for Danna, no intro for Angie K, and the overnight drama with Angie H's hubby doing the fake Instagram accounts to troll Jen reeked of some half-baked, slapped-together Simon van Kempen playbook of mean tweets to fellow castmembers. It all fell flat for me. Add to that, the half-assed choir storyline. Exactly who/what is this newfound choir affiliated with? Where/when will they actually sing? So you have castmates coming in as singers, judges, and Ryan Seacrest wannabes, you had Whitney and thirsty Angie H looking like a sloppy circus act, and you have a hodge-podge choir group that ranges from confused retirees to post-pubescent fanbois looking out of place. So suffice it to say, this San Diego trip (yet another lowkey domestic adventure, tee-hee to Whitney's accurate shade) finally turned a corner for me in generating drama that is actually worth investing in.

Love her! I can ignore the fact that there's only 7 years between her and Katey Sagal.

Plus, the actress is.... not good. Considering who the headwriter is, it's ironic how the gay characters on DAYS seem to be written by someone who's heterosexual with outdated and/or stereotypical ideas on the subject matter.

Dang, she cheated on Billy Campbell? Billy was a moron, but Andrew Shue is adorbs! Messy soapyness, just like Melrose Place.

Good scene in a bad story
I don't have a specific scene in mind (I know there was one at Cross Creek, outside while resting against a tree), but I remember in general during GL's Reva Clone storyline, there would be moments showing the pure agony Josh was going through as he grappled with the idea that he lost Reva (again) and now he has to deal with this clone thing that he gave the OK to create while in the midst of his bewildered depression.

Well at least if Carter's bachelor pad set is back up, it means we're in for some gratuitous shirtless workout scenes.

A character like Ciara would have flourished 20 years ago on DAYS during the Last Blast era and beyond. In recent years, the closest they ever got was when JJ the cop shot a hooded Theo... right in the middle of Horton Town Square of course, oy...

Sigh... a little bit of effort goes a long way. If only they'd dress these folks more appropriately to reflect what time of year it is. Add to that, whenever they are supposed to be outside, why can't they add in a track of ambient outdoor noise? They'll do it occasionally but not consistently, and it's usually too low in volume. That would be good to see. I've always loved the complexities of Nicole being her own worst enemy, giving into impulses that she knows are ultimately wrong, and sometimes biting off her own nose to spite her face. I can't hate on Nicole for overstepping and strongly hinting at Jada aborting the baby because that's a real-life thought process that anyone would secretly wish for; she just happened to blurt it outloud.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Hilarious! I saw that last night. It is kind of a head scratcher that she gets an official "friend of" status; she's lucky she's actual friends with the OG's (The GEB's) in real life to squeeze into this title. Maybe perhaps something will actually happen between her vs. The Grande Dame down the line...?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Cat @DaytimeFan Total agreement in both your assessments of Potomac. I loved that Karen and Ashley did not falter with stance that two wrongs don't make it right, no matter which party they like more than the other. The same cannot be said for triflin' Robyn. Good grief, she had the audacity to say Karen was in the best position to diffuse the situation, as she literally sit back with a grin across her face like a sow enjoying a mud bath, her camera rolling while shouting accusatory remarks at Wendy. Yeah, cuz *that* will help diffuse the situation. Meanwhile, I hope Juan enjoyed the footage of her caressing the hot shirtless dude on the beach like a sow in heat [Side note: Sow is my word of the day]. I loved the Karen/Ashley/Candiace dynamic of sticking up for what's right and not choosing sides. Mia has caused the unthinkable -- she's making me like Candiace again while softening up to Wendy. LOL at Charrisse on the beach. I literally commented on the same moment to hubby... "she always looks so stank and sloppy." She looks perpetually uncomfortable. And last week's champagne bar business proposal.... lawd!!! I'll give her credit for taking up being Mia's "personal assistant" or whatever and texting Ashley/Candiace that they can still stay at the house. I'm not even going to bother focusing on Mia. She makes no rational sense and she's doing it all for the cameras. Chuck her to the curb.

All the more reason why Karen and Ashley (and Monique) remain my favorites.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agree 100% about Monique. She is missed and needed. Bravo casted well when they added her in the 2nd season and Candiace in the 3rd. However, the additions of Wendy and Mia have been a miss and a miss. I can't imagine who of the remaining core four would leave next, but they definitely need to prepare in advance and find stronger, better women to interact with the vets.

DOOL - John Aniston Dies at 89
Times like these are a reminder of how many of our great soap vets show up to work, year after year, despite being long past the typical retirement age, as well as coming in with aches, pains, and obstacles just to make it to the stage. Head honchos at so many soaps throughout the years bared the brunt of fan outrage when longtime senior members weren't heavily featured, when in reality, the actors themselves needed to take it easy. I am grateful that John Aniston continued to make the effort, despite his condition. As so many behind-the-scenes folks have mentioned, he clearly was in pain during his final years. It is nice to know he is at peace now.

Amen, lol. She's deelightful, cheeseball acting choices 'n all! It wouldn't be our Queen of the Night without it.
