  1. Yeah, adding to that: Jen said Bravo disinvited her to the upcoming reunion back in September. Then a month ago, re-invited her, but upon telling them what Cheap said in regards to her case, they pulled the plug again. So it's not just fake pearl-clutching, it's sloppy messiness to squeeze out as much sleaze as possible.
  2. Wait. I fell out of watching B&B in the later 00's. What's the story there and where's the kid? I've totally taken to Krista Allen as Taylor. although I can see the blue collar portrayal vs. sophisticated psychiatrist from Hunter Tylo distinction. However, the last time we saw her as Taylor, she had become a mentally imbalance gun-wielding blubbering mess, nearly shooting Dollar Bill for boinking Steffie. That little blip in Taylor's storyline has conveniently been forgotten (along with the kid apparently).
  3. How many candles were on her cake? Isn't she supposed to be 50-something? Oh DAYS and their de-SORAS/SORAS messiness.
  4. So from what I understand over the weekend, Andy Cohen and Jen Shah will do their own one-on-one interview a la Kim Richards circa S2 of RHOBH which will air after the SLC reunion. Also, I don't know how long they'll be on the couches, but all 3 friends (Angie H, Angie K, Danna) will be there to fill up time.
  5. It was a sweet ending. I loved that powerhouse trio of Kate, Aidy, and Cecily and was so glad when she returned a month into this current season because the new cast was struggling. Cecily is definitely a dynamic performer that helped uplift any skit she was in.
  6. Haha, thanks for this write-up. I admit, I held on to being a subscriber for longer than I should have. I think I finally decided not to renew in 2018, after I found myself re-reading the sames thing over and over about yesteryear (I mean, how many times can I read the same paragraphs about Luke & Laura's 1981 wedding or Bo & Hope's in 1985?) while skipping over all the spoilers because I would read the magazine a few weeks after the fact. Plus, the actor interviews were mostly regurgitated fluff. Anyhow, the Best & Worst issues were always a favorite. I was tempted to buy the current one at the stand, but I didn't see it anywhere....
  7. Ugh... another copout. Although I find it interesting that Bravo initially told her she wasn't invited 3 months back. Another SLC castmember bites the snowflake, er dust.
  8. Yeah, I don't care who plays Sloane or what her past life experiences are, she has the emotional depth of a rock. If we are to become invested in this one-note trick, they need a better actress to play the part.
  9. Corny & cringy... so in other words, typical Bold & Beautiful. LOL Say what you will y'all, but we need these hos on this show. B&B without Brooke Logan Forrester / Katherine Kelly Lang is not a show worth sustaining. She is the tentpole alongside John McCook. They're not the typical matriarch and patriarch of a long-running soap series, but they are integral regardless. If the actors are looking to take long breaks, B&B's team need to beef up the next generation and/or bring back other Forrester children to take over the mantle. Lesli Kay? Winsor Harmon? (I'd probably opt for a recast Kristen Forrester and her husband if they were looking to bring her back longterm... Tracy Melchior is kinda weak sauce)
  10. Agree with you. That was cringeworthy bad. Linsey Godfrey has strengths and weaknesses as an actress, and that rancid story showcased her weak spots. But really, the absurdity of it all had more questions than answers.
  11. Hubby is looking into it. I know they're saying they're looking to reschedule, but I can't imagine Patti would want to come back to that venue.
  12. I'm pretty sure Eric was originally supposed to be gay when they brought him back in '97, but of course the network nixed that.
  13. I was in that audience on Saturday. We only got maybe 20 minutes of her before they rushed her off the stage and the lights went up. I was angry and sad that this happened. Not just for her and ourselves, but for so many people in the crowds who got all dressed up, wore their best faux furs, jewels, wigs and everything else and wanted a beautiful evening see Miss Patti do her thing. All ruined for a bogus bomb threat.
  14. Hmm.. Should we be looking for Stephen Schnetzer in the background of any DAYS actors' social media postings on set? We know how Carlivati works...
  15. LOL I thought of @Taoboi when Meredith said it, cackled, and they did the flashback. I don't think last night's episode was a Heather pile-up; it was a Jen Shah pile-up. Good grief that woman is a mess (cue the added narrative of anti-depressant usage). After all that flip-flopping and shoe-throwing, she says Angie K is the most dependable friend for her? And she doesn't remember coming after Lisa on the boat? What a hilarious trainwreck.
  16. I have old SOD's from 1991-1993, and after all the continuous speculation about Manhattan Lives, Coming Of Age, as well as the worry about Another World getting the ax and the last-ditch casting efforts to save Santa Barbara, it's pretty remarkable that we ended up with only 2 soaps by '93, both of which are the longest-standing shows. You would've thought for sure SB would've been replaced by a new sudser.
  17. Yeah, the whole trajectory of DAYS would be SO different if Marlena and (WN) Roman were spun off to Manhattan Lives and stayed. Tony & Anna were to be a part of it too, prior to Thaao returning to DAYS in '93. Manhattan Lives could've potentially had legs to it, but Aremid would fizzle after the novelty wore off. Similar to the ideas about a Salem High (the Last Blast crowd) or Harmony High from Passions. They all sound like something that would only last a few years.
  18. Flashback to exactly 5 years ago when the morning show scandal was all about Matt Lauer. Perhaps another "Morning Show" type of TV show will emerge out of this and Reese Witherspoon will play Amy Robach.
  19. Dumb question, but where do Peacock promos for DAYS actually get advertised? They barely promoted DAYS when it was on NBC, save for a couple during the daytime, I think.
  20. There have been moments here and there since, but by and large for me, the last really fantastic year for both "my" shows (DAYS and GL) was 2002.
  21. All valid questions; all valid points. But they don't do character development on this show anymore. Just plot, plot, plot and uneven focus on characters and storylines due to scheduling and guarantees.
  22. I agree, this episode was good and is setting us up for more juiciness to come. Because I gotta say, overall this season has been very hit or miss, episode by episode. We had that one episode when it was still just the 5 castmembers, where we all admitted fatigue/concern over this smaller cast, only to randomly have an influx of new supporting characters in the next episode. Producers did a piss poor job of introducing the new "friends-of" characters. As Real Housewives are modern day soap operas, you must live by the golden rules of soaps - slowly introduce new characters through existing characters. For me, when we suddenly had random drama with the brand new supporting roles, it was kind of a "Who cares?" for me. We had no intro for Danna, no intro for Angie K, and the overnight drama with Angie H's hubby doing the fake Instagram accounts to troll Jen reeked of some half-baked, slapped-together Simon van Kempen playbook of mean tweets to fellow castmembers. It all fell flat for me. Add to that, the half-assed choir storyline. Exactly who/what is this newfound choir affiliated with? Where/when will they actually sing? So you have castmates coming in as singers, judges, and Ryan Seacrest wannabes, you had Whitney and thirsty Angie H looking like a sloppy circus act, and you have a hodge-podge choir group that ranges from confused retirees to post-pubescent fanbois looking out of place. So suffice it to say, this San Diego trip (yet another lowkey domestic adventure, tee-hee to Whitney's accurate shade) finally turned a corner for me in generating drama that is actually worth investing in.
  23. Love her! I can ignore the fact that there's only 7 years between her and Katey Sagal.
  24. Plus, the actress is.... not good. Considering who the headwriter is, it's ironic how the gay characters on DAYS seem to be written by someone who's heterosexual with outdated and/or stereotypical ideas on the subject matter.
  25. Dang, she cheated on Billy Campbell? Billy was a moron, but Andrew Shue is adorbs! Messy soapyness, just like Melrose Place.
