Unfortunately they are not using this goddess to her potential.

At this point I think the core four are highly overrated. And Tamara Tunie's place on this show is an unexpected disappointment.

And not the core four that they were pushing so heavily in the beginning? How wickedly ironic.

WONDERFUL! I need something to taint these two. They're tiresome.

Anita Dupree is Ruth Marshall from Generations. Ruth also had a past of being a singer who gave it up because of raising a family and having a husband. Still. THIS ONE!

Fanfic sounds better than anything this show is serving up right now.

I might've agreed with you on this earlier, but this show needs help, any help, NOW.

VERONICA kicking ass and taking names on this show.

Writing for 2025? Not completely.

It doesn't matter. It's an infidelity storyline one immediately after the other. Do something else.

I still think this is such a weak storyline of Ted the cheater. Right after Bill being exactly that. MVJ ain't inventive I'm sorry to say.

Not sure if people knew of this syndicated show. Days of our lives used to end like this. A still cliffhanger.

So Joey owns an escort service? Several weeks ago I was inquiring about how Ted and Leslie turned into a "thing." I questioned if he met her on an extended business trip while she worked as a paid escort. OK. A run in with Joey and Silky is all I'll need.

The most sensible response I've witnessed in a while. 👍

I thought the pacing was on point during those first two weeks. Pacing was amongst one of my main discussions roughly a year before this show made it to air. I was seriously adamant about it.

Yep! With all of these people involved with this show: writers, directors, producers, etc. Why is it looking like this show doesn't really have its act together?

BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
The man is just class personified. He's been let go and he's still championing the show.

But we are still getting the same soap tropes.

BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Precisely! Which is why I say no REAL stories. Everything is so bland.

BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
Yes. I'm noticing the constant parties/events too. Almost like they're using them because they got no real stories to tell and nothing to write.

RIVETING is the word this show should entail. How about a compelling storyline where Andre inexplicably goes missing and it somehow ties in with the death of his parents. The cookie cutter stuff ain't giving.

No thank you to the American Idol "cliffhanger". Come on show. Time is of the essence.

I hope next month aka May sweeps will be when the real sizzle begins and keeps up. They've got to get on the ball. These characters were orchestrated much too interestingly to be wasted. About that other family: Yes. I said when this show was first announced as being rich black people, I thought there also needed to be ordinary working black people as their counterparts. That dynamic is always interesting.
