I think I prefer Jacob over Andre as well. For me, it's not just about looks, but also about vibe. Jacob just seems manlier in contrast to Andre's boyishness.

Andre being nasty? I'm convinced now that this trait runs in the family. Him, his uncle Ted, his cousin Martin, etc.

Anita's police charity gala? I will be watching closely to see if there's any more of an implication that she and chief bald and sexy have done something in the past or will do something in the future.

Nicole and current Ted had the potential vibe of these two. Turtleneck and all.

. Part of her early on character description is that she lived in a condo. Lots of these characters early descriptions have not materialized though.

Speaking of all of the Victoria Rowell love that we've loved here, yall remember this? One thing I liked about past soaps is how a scene would morph into slow motion when something terrible was about to occur.

I'd like to see a Richardson family dinner featuring a home cooked meal. A soul food meal to be exact. Nicole, Ted, Kat, Martin, Smitty, Tyrell, Samantha, and Andre all gather at Nicole's and Ted's home. Kat attempts to do the cooking but botched it. We learn that besides photography, Andre has cooking skills specializing in soul food and he takes over. If nothing else, I need Ted and Martin to at least notice each other. Still no viable scene between them.

OLTL had interesting background music too during the Paul Rauch era. This was one of it's suspenseful background tunes which supported this particular scene with FakeBo, Tina, and Didi perfectly.

I think the month of May is when we see ALL of these plots concluding and/or adding more layers for continuation. I hope they don’t have Nicole pulling some form of a "Betty Broderick" type move when she learns of her husband and every single one of his lies. The calm, cool, and collected psychiatrist loses it in a moment of shock and betrayal to which she never expected. Dani, sordidly, would feel even more vindicated wouldn't she? I think we'll learn about Martin's nightmares during this time as well. Will Tyrell's bullying result in him taking his abuser out for May Sweeps? Like pop, like son so to speak? The casino stuff will result in something I think. Someone or perhaps more than one individual will die in that plot. Maybe Randy dies trying to save Doug somehow? He really seems to care about him too! Anita the cougar for May Sweeps? I haven't forgotten her rather interesting interaction with Elon, the younger sexy bald Chief of Police. When will we see Ted at his private practice along with the friend/business partner who works with him running it? Me thinks that aspect has probably been dropped or somehow changed. Remember Andre Hamilton? So far, the show has acknowledged him only as Andre Richardson, unless something is still coming on that front.

I think this decision is definitely in the category of "taking the character in a new direction." Probably made to be a real bad ass with at least a touch of villainy.

And I'll say it again. It is what it is. Maurice is just taking advantage of it being what it is. I don't blame him one single bit. Obviously, the showrunners didn't owe him anything and he doesn't owe them or his replacement anything in return. It cuts both ways.

He had better surprise and deliver. Like seriously. Because the hatred is high. They'll probably end up having to search for a Ted #3 if he isn't well-received.

Be that as it may, I still don't blame him for not wanting to play nice about it.
