  1. Another week of reruns is a bit disappointing. I could get into the habit of not watching..
  2. All of a sudden, in the last week or so, all the characters are now talking about how Drew is going to get what's coming to him. None of them said that during the past year when he's been like this. Is Drew's contract with the show expiring or something? Or is killing off an evil character a Labor Day tradition with them now? Last year it was Jagger. I'm all for a mystery, but it seems rushed and the motives not as strong. And I hope they don't kill him off, but just shot so he can return to his evil deeds down the line.
  3. With Scotty, I think Kin revealed on his social media that he had foot surgery a year ago, and it went really wrong. So I think that's why he hasn't been on for a year, health reasons: foot pain and mobility issues.
  4. The show really should bring back Georgie. It was such a colossal blunder to kill her off. Maybe recast and tie her into the WSB story as an agent?
  5. We've already seen this coma stuff with Lulu; now they are giving it to Maxie? And haven't we already seen Ava hit one of her boyfriends on the head? Why are the writers so blatantly repeating themselves? It's pretty obvious that the show has no interest in writing A-level material for either Ava or Ric, and that it sees neither of them as leads. I do hope they keep Ric around though, to flirt with Liz and to continue to fill the sleazy lawyer role now that Scotty's gone.
  6. Lucy acting like a human being again with Felicia, only to be interrupted and pushed out of the scene by Spinelli acting like an over the top goofball 🙄 Was that his manic attempt at an Emmy today? Where was the director telling him that a little goes a long way? 🤮
  7. Can the show end the Lucy/ Sidwell romance crap? There is no depth to the writing or acting of any of it, nor is there any chemistry. And hasn't Lucy already been through all this with Victor a few years ago? It's a complete time filler, and along with the Deception crap, an insult to the character of Lucy, who has been there for almost 40 years. She is the vet that has been treated the worst the last few years.
  8. Drew is serving the purpose of AJ. If AJ were still on the show, isn't this how he'd probably be written, hating Jason, stealing his son's wife, etc?
  9. Really, really sad. He really was the lead of the show from 1984-1992, and pretty much a co-lead with Luke from 1981-1983. I'm glad his character was still recognizable at the end and got a happy ending. He always had a great, mischievous smile. Too bad they didn't have his character do more of that.
  10. The writers really needed to completely forget Britt's first run on this show. To see them instead doubling down on it is insane. What's the point; it does no one any favors.
  11. I think Jason/Britt round 2 will be DOA. Their chemistry is not that off the charts; she's not that strong an actress; and her character is beyond stupid (I can't believe how much they are bringing up her first years on the show when she was pretty much a cartoony villain; it would have been best to just forget all that). It's a testament to the sad state of the canvas when it comes to women that she is the only one they had to pair Jason with, after failing with Anna and Sasha.
  12. There were many ways to handle the Willow/Drew story. Leave it to the GH writers to always take the path with the least dramatic pay-off.
  13. I actually saw her on Broadway in that. There was a talk back on stage after the show. She looked so beautiful. She also seemed to be in a good place. Shame how time just couldn't stand still.
  14. They gave the character so much build up at the start, even having him re-enact Bill Hayes's first scenes, only for him to be gone 7 months later. Talk about not living up to the hype. They should have tried to find a good actor for the character from the beginning.
  15. Watching into early March 1985, with the story of Sophia revealing herself dominating the show now, I can't say I'm that enthused. I don't know if it's the story, or the performances, or both. Judith McConnell charisma is a bit below Nicholas Coster's and Louise Sorel's. She dosn't seem to have much of a connection or chemistry with anyone on screen at the moment. She's adequate at best.
  16. Taping episodes so far in advance with no audience feedback, how can they tell if something is working or not? Do producers get together and watch episodes in a room and react to it as fans? Or do they hire people to watch and figure out what's working and what's not?
  17. They really need to pour more money into the production, for actors and sets, and stop shooting so far ahead. And what about finally posting some classic episodes, like episodes from the 80s? Surely that might get a bunch of new people to sign up?
  18. I finally got to see the final week of Joe and Peter from late February 1985. It was good. It was an interesting choice to make Kelly responsible for Joe's death. Cruz's schemes to get Peter out in the open for the snipers was working, but then Kelly decided to go and try and shoot Peter herself. Unfortunately, she didn't bother to check to see that the gun she brought along worked or not 😂 The actors who played Kelly and Peter did great jobs. The actor who played Joe less so. The show was so clearly over Joe and his family. The doctors said Joe had no chance, he would die right away after waking up. They gave his family no scenes of their own to grieve him. Joe's death scene with Kelly was good though. It was hard to believe Joe was the lead character for the first 3 months of the show, with the treatment he got at the end.
  19. Doesn't the show actually sell those beauty products on a website somewhere? They make a little coin on the side, as they turn GH into a real life infomercial? I hope that they also see those scenes as an attempt to do pure comedy. But comedy is hard; those scenes always come off as cringey and FF material.
  20. The actress had some charisma but the writers could never write to it or to her talents. Instead, it was a lot of ridiculous darkness and seemingly always being gaslit. And then last fall, they went to all the trouble of retconning her to finally make her relevant, only for her to be out 9 months later -- like so much of GH, it was all a total waste.
  21. Is this Sasha's farewell tour? Is she leaving the show? Have they finally given up trying to make this character happen after 7 years? Such a non-memorable character. So ridiculous to make her Robert and Holly's child.
  22. With a bunch of characters now being complicit in a murder, the show has taken a really dark turn. We've entered Guza territory. I was hoping the show wouldn't take this turn, as I'm not sure it will know how to properly handle it. I wonder if Guza is still trying to write for night-time, if he doesn't realize that this is daytime drama, where amorality doesn't really work. The morally compromised can't get away with it; there need to be consequences. Otherwise it becomes a joke; just see GH and its mobsters.
  23. I'm glad they made it clear that Vernon would never have anything to do with killing anyone! At least there is some moral center to the show! Clifton has been great, and Vernon definitely makes for a solid patriarch!
  24. I guess Cady has been studying at the Michael E. Knight school of over-acting, where annoying accents and exaggerated mannerisms constitute character building.
  25. There are a number of deaths this show should reverse, with Laura being at the top of the list. Killing off such a legacy character that way was disgraceful.
