  1. Is this Sasha's farewell tour? Is she leaving the show? Have they finally given up trying to make this character happen after 7 years? Such a non-memorable character. So ridiculous to make her Robert and Holly's child.
  2. With a bunch of characters now being complicit in a murder, the show has taken a really dark turn. We've entered Guza territory. I was hoping the show wouldn't take this turn, as I'm not sure it will know how to properly handle it. I wonder if Guza is still trying to write for night-time, if he doesn't realize that this is daytime drama, where amorality doesn't really work. The morally compromised can't get away with it; there need to be consequences. Otherwise it becomes a joke; just see GH and its mobsters.
  3. I'm glad they made it clear that Vernon would never have anything to do with killing anyone! At least there is some moral center to the show! Clifton has been great, and Vernon definitely makes for a solid patriarch!
  4. I guess Cady has been studying at the Michael E. Knight school of over-acting, where annoying accents and exaggerated mannerisms constitute character building.
  5. There are a number of deaths this show should reverse, with Laura being at the top of the list. Killing off such a legacy character that way was disgraceful.
  6. It would be nice if Willow were more of a grey, shady character. I don't think the actress could pull it off though, and it looks like the writers agree, as they're not really giving her a chance to go there. All they're doing is having her go crazy, not mean or evil. It took a recast to give the character of Michael a hint of a dark side. It's probably going to take a recast of Willow to give her a dark side too.
  7. I found John's long funeral to be a little disappointing. In honor of his prowess with the ladies, they should have had a mysterious lady in black. She could have turned out to be Eileen Davidson or Genie Francis. They also should have revealed that John was really Roman, consequences be damned. This is supposed to be drama after all.
  8. Is this show really going to have the whole town be complicit in a man's murder, including Vernon, the show's patriarch? Is this Guza's touch emerging?
  9. I do wish the show would lean more 90s Guza GH than Bell B&B. There also traces of early Santa Barbara, with the lack of urgency and payoffs. BTG is in better shape than Santa Barbara was after 4 months. On SB, nothing was working and the network was already forcing creative changes. It seems CBS is more supportive and is leaving the creative stuff alone. But the risk of boredom is real; BTG needs more oomph and craziness.
  10. In honor of her chaste relationship with Sonny, it looks like they gave Natalia a chaste death; just a simple poisoning, no blood.
  11. I wish they'd let Chris bring a little more of a light touch to Brennan. You can be menacing and still have some fun with it.
  12. In 1996, AW had ex-Doctors alum Bethel Leslie on, as a hysterical mother of a criminal. She's on the November 29, 1996 episode. She's a little unrecognizable. Another example of the show doing a solid for an aging vet?
  13. I agree with this. I appreciate some of the callbacks to Santa Barbara and 90s GH, but what this show mostly feels like is B&B, and that isn't my cup of tea either. I wish the show was a little more real and original and would get away from the B&B tropes. Also I wish too it would have more economic diversity among the characters; everybody being rich is boring. They had an opportunity to create the first new soap in 25 years. I thought they'd try to go for a general audience. Having some economic diversity would go to that. But it really is a niche show, very idiosyncratic.
  14. It's funny that the lasting legacy of Mulcahey's last stint on the show is the current Drew. And the reason we have that is because the actor couldn't play grey, which is what I think Mulcahey intended. Drew trying to be grey came off as creepy, and to the current writers credit, they did run with it.
  15. Lucky's final scenes came off as strangely clinical and unemotional. You'd think the actors would up their game, since this is probably the last time JJ will ever be on the show, but nope. There wasn't even any crying from JJ, for old time's sake.
  16. I've seen him on Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, and The Fugitive, all from the early 60s, playing young, out of control hotheads. Then in the mid 60s as a regular on 12 O'Clock High, playing a more square, heroic character. Then in the mid 70s on Cannon, back to playing a more evil, out of control character. He also directed a couple of episodes of Cannon. He had quite a career.
  17. The writers are doing Lucky no favors by having his staying away for so long and now his leaving again be completely his choice. And to compound it, they give him such lame reasons for it all. This is not a character they care for.
  18. Such a big part of JJ's Lucky was his relationship with his dad. It's too bad the show didn't try to explore Lucky's relationship with his son. I guess that would have meant trying to cast a proper, age appropriate, good actor as Aiden, something it seemed the show didn't really want to invest in. So many missed opportunities.
  19. Did they really bring back Jack and Jennifer for Jack to prop up Leo and Jenn to serve as an obstacle to Chad/Cat? Are we sure Ron still isn't in the building?
  20. I guess they needed someone for Jason, and Anna and Sash-er weren't cutting it. Also, looks like Frank is fully in control, bringing back "favorites" (his favorites).
  21. Today's Lucky and Liz scenes were horrible. There really is no way to explain Lucky's character. Not that anyone cared though. It looked like everyone involved just gave up, and that JJ couldn't get out of there fast enough. Also, why is Sonny on every single day? Most of his appearances are so pointless. Can they not rest the character, even for a few days?
  22. Not surprising. After seeing his pathetic scenes on today's episode, where he says Port Charles is not his home, I expected to come on here and see this, and here it is. JJ should retire. He doesn't have it anymore. Lucky should probably be killed off or hardly ever mentioned again. The writers and producers made a mistake in trying to make Lucky into a version of Luke. A Luke type charactrer doesn't fit in today's day and age. Luke and Lucky are dinosaurs best left in the past.
  23. It's definitely a choice for them to do a story based on the Supremes for this show. Is MVJ a big fan or something?
  24. Did they show Nina telling Ric about the Sasha secret, or did that happen off-camera? I was surprised at the curves they were having Emma show today in her bikini!
  25. Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
