  1. The actress who intermittently plays Dr. Navarro (OB/GYN) was taping today Sept 8.
  2. It's cross-promotion, as Vee said. Y&R and B&B do this with some of the CBS primetime reality shows -- for example BigBrother houseguests sometimes appear as single-episode U/5s on B&B or Y&R --- with almost nothing to do but maybe bring a main character coffee or a file folder --- but CBS promotes the heck out of those appearances.
  3. I've subscribed to Paramount Plus for years, and before that, its predecessor "CBS All Access". Usually, when the fall "season premiere" begins for Y&R, the previous season's Y&R's episodes are deleted from the streaming service. They keep only the last five episodes of the prior season available to view, and then after a week or so, those are gone, too. Then they keep adding the new season's episodes to the streaming service, and leave *all* of the new season's episodes remain up and available -- until the following autumn when it's all deleted. A long while ago, it used to be that every autumn, B&B kept two years up and deleted everything prior. But in recent years, B&B has done did the same as Y&R, keeping only the new season available to stream. I don't know if CBS/Paramount still does this for both shows. But it's good to know, in case you're behind on watching and need to catch up -- it all might disappear soon. I'm curious how this will work for Beyond the Gates? Since "season one" appears to be continuing through December, then hopefully all the episodes will remain available to stream.

  5. I did like that afterwards at the hospital, Chelsea was saying how she was almost driven to kill Allison, and that Allison almost turned her into a murderer, which isn't who Chelsea wants to be. I mean, it would have been survival-justified, but I get what Chelsea is saying. There's going to be some emotional ramifications, I think as Chelsea works through this.
  6. That was a wtf. Two paragraphs about the stalker-created "wedding", but the columnist thought it was real. And they refer to Chelsea and Allison are the show’s two female gay characters. Clearly not watching because they didn't know that Madison exists. They refer to Ms. Duplaix as a newcomer to the soap world. A reference to the Vanessa character as "the very sweet Vanessa McBride". Yeah they're writing about something they don't watch.
  7. That tvinsider article mainly addresses Leslie Charleson. From reading it, I didn't get the impression that the Tristan mention was specific. I assumed that they mentioned Tristan because he recently died and they wanted to state that he'll be honored in some way eventually. Obviously I don't know anything, but that's how I read it. Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek actor/director and husband to Genie Francis) -- he did a podcast on September 1st. He talks about soaps and the skill of memorizing many pages of dialogue, which Genie can do. That part about memorization and doing things on a single take starts around 7 minutes in. At about 8 minutes in, Frakes says (podcast uploaded Sept. 1st) he says about Genie: "I've seen yesterday's work for her was 88 pages she was in because it was a memorial service and she spoke on about 32 of them."
  8. I didn't think Ted was cruel, at all. I thought he simply did the logical thing, and swatted that gnat.
  9. I loved Eva the first few months because she wouldn't put up with Leslie's bull, at all. Eva schemed to stop Leslie. But the last Thursday of June, just before the week-long reruns, the writing for Eva changed with the scene of Eva and Leslie at Orphey Gene's reminiscing about the past, and Eva began to be loving towards Leslie. It felt (to me) like a big change for the writing for the character of Eva. I've been meaning to mention how much that has bothered me. I do *NOT* want to see Eva defending Leslie *at all*. I watched today just to see Chelsea free herself, as I thought she would! But WTF with the writing for Leslie today? She cried, she felt used, Eva actually had dialogue saying Leslie was "vulnerable". Yeah NO NO NO. Leslie is a sociopath and no change in the writing will change that for me. The writers inputting dialogue to make us *see* Leslie's "vulnerable side" ? ? ? ? No no no no no. No way. Not for me! I was team Ted on this.

  15. Good point. All the interviews dropping through September were taped in June or July (at least before July 10th). as mentioned here: Karla Mosley had been commuting to California; but she posted on her IG a while back that she was in process of moving with her partner and children to Atlanta so that she could be more available for BTG. It's possible this was taped just before she moved. Edit: I think she moved in June but I don't know the date she moved nor the date the interviews were recorded.

  18. Thomas the rapist and obsessive stalker is just a *no* for me. Despite whoever the actor was/is. The character is a *no*. Ever since Thomas raped Caroline2 and then Bradley tried to say it wasn't rape. I strongly objected to the show portraying Thomas' obsession with Hope as a romantic thing. I was fine with Hope discovering her inner sexual nature and having a *brief* hot fling with him, maybe a one-night-stand. But I was *not* okay with Thomas controlling her and his constant obsession with her. The creepy mannequin fantasy in 2020 that was written in as a result of COVID protocols preventing actors from touching each other -- was an unusual way to write around the pandemic reality. But it was still gross. For me, there is nothing "romantic" about a character being with their stalker. I thought "Thope" was a horrid pairing because of that.
