I wouldn't rely on guest stars to promote episodes. Plus which, you can't compare every show with Empire simply because of a Black cast.

That's how I feel! It's hard to find a single redeeming thing to say about Passions! The writing was bad, the acting was bad and the worst part is that they were serious. It to me was the catalyst for the failure of modern soaps. There were still 10 when it premiered, Passions included and it took them down quickly. It was such a joke. It actually angers me that it was on so long and Sunset Beach got screwed.

Maybe a combo of Guza and Sally Sussman. She's good at character and building a story and I feel like his style of writing would bring the action that her stories lack. It could be a fun team with some great scripts.

I've always thought that it was cool that the ABC soaps were for the most part one universe.

Child! There was a ceramic elephant with jewels inside it that got somehow snuggled into Salem. It was a central story for a stupid amount of time.

That being said, most people start watching soaps for the adult stories, not the teen scene. When I started watching soaps I was drawn to Another World, Generations and DAYS. I was very young, but kinda followed. By the time I was 13/14 I was writing my own and keeping up with all soaps. It's my personal opinion that PASSIONS actually was what lead to the end of modern soaps. It's really all the things hate about soaps and what gets made fun of. It was a parody.
