I do agree fully! I'm not mad at Devon/Abby by any means, but the fact is Mishael was brought back solely for Devon.

Of course, the character that I really was digging (Imani) is gone. That sucks I wanted her to forge a friendship with Sally and make moves on Chance, as dumb as I think he looks.

Meh! My hopes aren't very high, but we'll see. I'm not really here for another younger couple in a baby storyline.

I don't understand the writers obsession with Abby being married with children. It's obnoxious. Why do soap writers want to tie down all the youths? Abby should be free and having fun. Maybe a drunk or something. I hate her obsession with marriage. I don't hate Melissa Ordway like everyone else here does, so I want to see her being more light hearted.

I used to love the Dysfunctional Family Night, and my afternoons of dynasty and Knots Landing. I just wish they had stuck with that formula. No one asked for One Tree Hill/The O.C. and 90210! I just wish they would have showed Loving/The City.

I does suck that we have 10 ESPN channels, but not a single soap channel. SOAPNet really screwed itself, and I'll die on that hill.

Someone tried lighting into me on YouTube because I said that the depression story would be so much more impactful and resounding with a character people care about, or even like. Chelsea is not that! The acting is good, but Chelsea isn't exactly going to leave sinkhole in the canvas. She's been isolated for a while. Her mother hasn't even been involved! At this point, just lock her up after a breakdown and forget her.

If you could mix that, with a new modern writer.

It goes back to my view that James Reilly kinda broke the show for good. DAYS picked back up and got pretty good up until the denouement of Salem Stalker. While the story had it's flaws, everything after that was just a crap tsunami, from the constant back from the deads, to "The EJ Show." The smart thing to do when DAYS moved to Peacock would have gone more back to basics with a very modern update.

I tend to agree with this, but the writing, as well as casting would need to be MUCH tighter. Things can't afford to be drawn out "Passions" style. Say what you will about "Spyder Games" but they made the half hour work. Every episode went somewhere, and every story found a way to intersect, even slightly. This is why I say a soap like "Edge of Night" could easily come back in a 13 week, 65 episode arc format.
