  1. I does suck that we have 10 ESPN channels, but not a single soap channel. SOAPNet really screwed itself, and I'll die on that hill.
  2. Someone tried lighting into me on YouTube because I said that the depression story would be so much more impactful and resounding with a character people care about, or even like. Chelsea is not that! The acting is good, but Chelsea isn't exactly going to leave sinkhole in the canvas. She's been isolated for a while. Her mother hasn't even been involved! At this point, just lock her up after a breakdown and forget her.
  3. It goes back to my view that James Reilly kinda broke the show for good. DAYS picked back up and got pretty good up until the denouement of Salem Stalker. While the story had it's flaws, everything after that was just a crap tsunami, from the constant back from the deads, to "The EJ Show." The smart thing to do when DAYS moved to Peacock would have gone more back to basics with a very modern update.
  4. I really wish Diane would throw it in her face! Like "Bitch, I couldn't have faked my death had you not bludgeoned me with intent to kill!" Woof! That's gotta be awkward!
  5. That's one of the main thing that gets me! Nikki acts like she didn't try to kill her!
  6. I tend to agree with this, but the writing, as well as casting would need to be MUCH tighter. Things can't afford to be drawn out "Passions" style. Say what you will about "Spyder Games" but they made the half hour work. Every episode went somewhere, and every story found a way to intersect, even slightly. This is why I say a soap like "Edge of Night" could easily come back in a 13 week, 65 episode arc format.
  7. Very true! I wonder why they didn't cast James Hyde though, he was there! Anyhow, I'm still on the Jamie Luner as Phyllis train!
  8. That's true. I'm not mad either way. It's not like the character will go anywhere.
  9. Let's open the door for some extra Today Show/GMA where they can pay the host enough in one year to budget at least two seasons of a soap.
  10. Yeah. I would have gone with maybe Grant Aleksander for Tucker. I could see that as a fit.
  11. I'm still disappointed that after all this time we still have no Carter/Steffy, but I think that time has passed. We saw what happened with Steffy/Bill.
  12. And he still has an annoying, immature lack of self awareness. I'm surprised by Rebecca Gayheart.
  13. I guess I haven't seen it since he was never on screen, and now I'm not on Peacock. Greg Vaughan has something happening though!
  14. I'm not really impressed by anyone presently.
  15. There's not exactly a wide variety, it seems to almost be a requirement to have a flat ass to get daytime work! Billy Flynn's ok, but there's not really much to speak of. The easy winner is Eddie Cibrian.
  16. You're damn right! Honey, I don't even eat pancakes for breakfast!
  17. I tend to think Liam just has a stupid face. Like he's always dumbfounded. Finn always looks like he's trying too hard to be serious.
  18. You have a thing for flat ass white guys? Huh? Everyone has their thing!
  19. I agree she was miscast as Phyllis, but if it's the writing can you really blame the actress? Speaking of Phyllis, I still think Jamie Luner or Jennifer Bransford would have been great, especially Jennifer Bransford. She's got that same kind of harsh look and does bitch very well, and unpopular opinion, she's more likeable than Michelle Stafford.
  20. NBC is the only one to make no effort to save their soaps. Aside from moving Heaven and Hell to make a place for Passions and giving them carte blanche.
  21. I think Eden was too young, or at least presented that way. Is it the writing for Amelia people hate, or the actress? I'm curious.
  22. I just always seemed that they were looking for reasons to get rid of them, especially when it came to primetime. I still think Titans would have probably worked out better on FOX.
  23. That sounds like an interesting concept, but we know how much NBC hates soaps.
  24. Ugh! Still? I get it but I can think of a few others that would have been just as good or better. Christie Clark, Sarah Aldrich, Shawn Batten, or Sarah Brown for example.
