Paris is really just a poorly developed character. Plain and simple and they have no idea what to do with her because they don't know who she is. Is she the bitch? Is she the ingenue? Is she the audience avatar? She's so undefined that she's not even root worthy. If the actress brought some nuance to the portrayal we might get somewhere, but it's meh.

This is why I hate when production gives the actor so much power!

I can get into a slight aging, Shawn D is a good example, they only added about 3 years. It doesn't screw up too much, if anything. The ages also work because of the ages of the parents. That's why when they aged Lily's kids on Y&R it was so jarring. Mike Horton is great example of poor aging, because now he's been in his 30s since 1985!

I'm saying Will and Philip were born the same damn year! I'm quite sure Abigail and Brady were as well. The ages get so fucked up. EJ being born two years after Will is still pretty crazy.

Hopefully we get a lot more Imani, and hopefully she gets more integrated in the cast.

Exactly, they also have the issue that a lot of keeping all the Black characters in one bubble. It limits them, when they just play Winters Roulette. Bold and the Beautiful is one of the WORST when it comes to this.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't like when soaps become too family oriented. It just becomes very incestuous at times. That's why I love characters like Nicole. She can be a romantic wildcard because she's not related to everyone. I remember around 2005 the Brady's were dating in to he family, solely based on the fact that there were no characters in that group to mix it up with.

I would still love a new soap. Even if it's an amalgam of OLTL and AMC. I'm a die hard soap fan, so I would be into it. I mean with what they're paying everyone at The Today Show for all 12 hours, they could probably produce at least 3!

I guess Xander and Zende serve the same purpose so they couldn't have them on at the same time. They couldn't possibly create some new stories for them.

I agree about Ryan's Hope. I've watched pretty much every soap I could and Ryan's Hope is just not it for me. Really kinda boring.
