Does your soap have a "Red Swan", a s/l or phrase or character that makes you groan?

What major soap change/event would shock you if it happened this year?
I would still love a new soap. Even if it's an amalgam of OLTL and AMC. I'm a die hard soap fan, so I would be into it. I mean with what they're paying everyone at The Today Show for all 12 hours, they could probably produce at least 3!

B&B June 2022 Discussion Thread
I guess Xander and Zende serve the same purpose so they couldn't have them on at the same time. They couldn't possibly create some new stories for them.

B&B June 2022 Discussion Thread
I've been off the grid for a while, are Shauna and Flo just gone? Zoe? Xander?

All the worse, no one was pronouncing it correctly!

Best/Worst Production Value Periods on Soaps
I agree about Ryan's Hope. I've watched pretty much every soap I could and Ryan's Hope is just not it for me. Really kinda boring.

Characters that Stopped Getting Stories
Let's be fair here! Christine needed backburned after her omnipresence on screen!

Soap stars I didn't know moments
I knew about Krista Allen, she played the "titular" Emanuelle. I didn't know about Susan though!

DAYS: Actress cast in series regular role
It would be nice if she could be an independent and unrelated character. There's not enough of those. The show is way too incestuous.

Missed Couple Pairing Opportunities
I'll also add, not only a pairing, but a quadrangle! LizAJ/Carly/Todd.

Soap stars I didn't know moments
I didn't realize that Kristian Alfonso was covering quite a thick Boston accent until an interview the other day. It was just like when I found out Joe Mascolo was not Italian.

Missed Couple Pairing Opportunities
Emily and Patrick on GH. Of the charts chemistry especially during the girls night out! Unfortunately they only brought him in for one pairing.

ALL: Proposed Soaps Over The Years
I mean, if they wanted a campy show, it could work. I'm still intrigued by "Thunders Secret!" I feel like it's just fan fiction, but I want to know the deets!

ARTICLE: ‘Days of our Lives’ Head Writer Posts Query: “Tell me your job so I can tweet at you how you’re doing it wrong”
That would have been scorching triangle! Not too mention the Todd angle!

What would your major B&B twist be?
I think Ridge has run his course. Anyway, I'd have Thomas secretly hooking up with a now grown Little Eric!

Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
I'll be 37 on the 6th, and I call my father "Daddy." I don't find it that bizarre.

Recasts You Think Could've Worked
I'm here for it, either way! I'm just here for Sarah Buxton coming back to daytime! She's such a great conniving bitch, which soaps are missing right now! I would take either as Sally's mom on Y&R.

General Hospital March 2022 Discussion Thread
Exactly! There's talent out there, they just won't mine it! There's actually plenty of actors from cancelled soaps that would be amazing.

General Hospital March 2022 Discussion Thread
Too bad they wasted Cassandra Creech on B&B. Btw, what's Dominique Jennings from Sunset Beach up to?! HELLO!

Days of Our Lives: March 2022 Discussion Thread
Tell that to to cutthroat bitches on this board! He was torn apart, regardless! I mention intellectually disabled will Horton smile and I should be called the "N"" word! Because hes's her dad?! Strange?! Sometimes, there is no subtext and it's all in your head. I'm no RC fan, but you're reaching.

Recasts You Think Could've Worked
Also, Thomas falling for the wounded woman is in character, so he falls for this new model, leading to development for him, and perhaps a decent redemption. We would also do a go casting couch story with Bill, a la Weinstien with bill and these younger girls, and so much more!

Y&R March 2022 Discussion Thread
He's just so contradictory, and narcissistic that it's beyond flaw, it's actually just reprehensible. He never even has to pay for his actions, and somehow always gets proven "right."

ARTICLE: Sean Blakemore Announces Exit from ‘General Hospital’, Cites “Other Obligations” as Reason for Departure
He's got to be taking it personally that they clearly hate writing for him.
