I'm not sure I've ever said this here, or if it's even allowed, but I actually hate the Victor Newman character.

Recasts You Think Could've Worked
If we're taking Melrose, how about Jamie Luner as Phyllis, she's actually got the sex appeal that Phyllis allegedly has, and Stafford does not.

I'm certainly not. Quite frankly, I don't really find too many guys on the show very hot. I'd give them nominal at best, outside maybe Greg Vaughan, but he's got a nice butt. As far as acting, I think everyone needs something to actually act.

Recasts You Think Could've Worked
I would bring Kristian Alfonso on as the owner of a modeling agency. It would be a way to introduce new characters without having to bring on a whole new family, and to save money since they're models, save for Kristian, everyone could be recurring. A bunch of young models that cold be romantic wildcards for the young set, and you could easily get rid of characters that don't work and flesh out those who do. Hell make the Kristian character a part-time Madame as a nod to her Melrose Place character! Kristian can play a bitch very well!

Actors who could/should have played other characters on their show.
Talk about misfires! I'm not even a Melissa Archer fan, but that was definitely a moment of "LOOK RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!" Especially to bring the character on a few years later anyway!

Lindsay Korman could have been Taylor, Nicoles' sister on DAYS, instead of go nowhere Arianna. Kassie DePaiva is a great actress, but miscast as hell! She could have played Melissa easily, and still use her accent.

Jonathan Jackson isn't that great honestly. He's got that Michael Cera thing happening.

You mean not being a crybaby with a little boy voice? And in life. I've looked at it. It's even worse that it's disproportionate to his otherwise thick body. Disappointing!

They wasted great names "Shiloh" and "Willow" on nothing characters! To that end, can we just stop naming characters after each other At one point there were like 5 Michaels!

He was huge improvement over Travis Dolt! You could smell his acting through the screen and it was no day at Bath and Body Works!

Yes, and it bothered the hell out of me. There's nothing wrong him having a friendship and sort of a weld between generations/storylines, but he really should have been with the 20's set. He could have tested with Abby, Summer or Ana or hell, even Scott or Noah! He could have been having drinks with Tessa and Mariah. Ravi could have come out and had a whole story about his parents not accepting him, and introduce a sister that really loves him and clicks with Kyle.

I jump in here to add Lindsay Korman. Short of being able to cry on cue, she was damn awful. Most of the younger cast was, but she the f---ing lead! By the time she got to All My Children I didn't even recognize her! She definitely grew leaps and bounds! Which is unfortunate for all her scene partners who stagnated.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Which is why my days as a big fan are gone. I don't have a character to love anymore! That and the need to make EVERYONE related! That's why I used to like nicole, she's the kind of character that's a wildcard.

Exactly, the ones who are more Caucasian presenting. They placed him in the wrong age group, and never tried to integrate him much, although if they did the "fandom" would scream about him forced down their throats, so there was no winning.

I just remember hearing that, mostly about her being sent away almost immediately to improve.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
That my big reason, plus which he never really has to pay for his crimes, and he was forced down our throats at every chance to destroy Sami/Lucas. Sami and Lucas were set up to be more or less endgame, only for them to be destroy by this overwhelming love that apparently spanned over 100 years. BULLSH!T

Wasn't she immediately sent away to acting classes or something?
