That sucks, I actually liked those characters. Too bad that no one can exist outside the Forresters. It was a bad idea making Flo a Logan though.

It really does work with her, but it middies up some other characters, Philip, Belle, and Brady in particular.

Boring is the worst thing to be as soap writer, there's got to be a checks/balance system. Guza and someone like Sally Sussman might work as a combo because she does the good character driven stuff and he does the great plot/events.

I don't think it's ugly, at all. It's just a bit of a statement look to be used so often.

That's definitely a way to introduce new characters. They wouldn't be all incestuous either.

To put it bluntly, they're stupid. Not only do they sound incredibly stupid, and they do, but some are just a reach to make happen! It also tends to take away a lot of agency from a character. It's like that's all they're seen for. Nevertheless, I find them grossly unappealing and annoying.
