The problem is that it always leads to a White Hero story and the character of color is quickly then and afterthought. This is why there just needs to be more representation in general.

I know the cheese stands alone but, I didn't hate Langan-Era. Aside from the Virtual Eden crap, I thought it was pretty damn good! Couldn't miss a day. I was certainly better than post Salem Stalker and the JER clean up era that we remained in for years. I was probably the last time I was addicted to the show. Again, Salem Stalker was good, it had a piss poor denouement though. I will say that I enjoyed Langan btter than anything happening now, or for the past few years. Maybe 2012.

There really is no variety. There's never a B-story and if there is is just as overwrought and recycled. They need a big shake up!

There's enough incestuous relation on the show! That's why I think they should introduce a modeling agency with a house. It can be full of unrelated characters with endless opportunities. It can be owned by an ice cold bitch played by Kristian Alfonso.

The thing about Carly, is she can serve a purpose if not force the same story circles. I still remember they were teasing Carly/Nikolas and stopped it cold, just to throw her back to Sonny. Same an amazing pairing with Shawn. A lot of the problem is writers being afraid let characters do anything else. I do agree that Sonny can go though! Hate the character and get annoyed the actor.

A new family? So everyone can criticize them to diminishment like the Rosales? Then talk about how there's no focus on the elder families? Not saying I don't agree! I've written up a treatment of my own family (the Goodnights) to integrate into the the show. I just think that the show as a whole needs a huge kick in the ass!

I will say it until it happens! We need a big earthquake or something! Maybe a killer. A big umbrella story where people actually die. Even a massive tsunami. Kill people, bring some together. They have the budget! Maybe instead of a remote they can do it.

Like I said, I never want to see it on a soap again! In the last 14 years has been on 4 shows amongst characters! 3 of those soaps written by one person! I'm sure there's some other stories in the soap world history, but that extreme!

I always get in trouble for it but, I could take some Guza at either Bell soap right now. I'll have a drink to my very unpopular opinion! Especially at B&B where they really have nowhere else to go but up! Y&R might get a little more lively too. I really miss action, especially with payoff and involving characters that don't really mix it up. Still, as always, hoping for that huge B&B earthquake!

I still think Davetta Sherwood got a raw deal. She was really good and was a perfect Mini-Dru that Christel never could be.

I tend to agree with you in hindsight. They could work with better writing but, those post JER years were... something. Lots of insta-couples.

They had chemistry and all but, it was super rushed! Didn't they get engaged in like two months. There was no build up.

Speaking of which, I would say that John/Kate was one of those convenient couples.
