  1. Of course this team done brought both Cyrus and Esme back for this. I see your game, Chris Van Etten! I was right about Valentin and Carly too. Watch.
  2. Erika did absolutely adore Mark Derwin and the romance with Ben under JFP, and they had a considerable fanbase. I was not among them after the first couple months but I understood why some liked it. With better writing and probably another actor (though Derwin is a lovely man IRL) it could've worked for me. I remember stories (possibly apocryphal but who knows) about both Erika and Patricia Mauceri being less than keen on being paired with Clint in the mid-late '90s - IIRC Malone moved Clint to Carlotta in '95. I thought the Clint/Carlotta material was decent and I really adored what Labine did with Viki and Clint finally confronting each other about the blow-up of their marriage in '97. I don't know if Erika actually put her weight against a reunion. I couldn't fault her for it if so, but I do think they still had wonderful chemistry. And I was not some big Viki and Clint fan growing up, coming in as I did only once was already with Sloan; I only grew to appreciate Viki and Clint together much later. It's too bad about Ritchie's demons and illness, and bad behavior, all of which he bears a lot of responsibility for. He was still so good. I do think Pam Long may have intended the Clint and Lindsay marriage to run longer before she (per JDP) was 'run off' by Phelps - it was a good idea on paper and there was a triangle element onscreen with Viki, IIRC. I adored Viki and Charlie, but I was also just fine with her and JVD's Clint. A very different kind of Clint in many ways but Jerry was razor sharp opposite Erika. I know not everyone agrees lol.
  3. I think what happened with Ritchie was a drunken accident, but it was still unacceptable. And then there's James DePaiva, who threw a chair in Gottlieb's office during a tantrum. There was a lot of that going around at ABC back then (Tony Geary too).
  4. There you have it. A lot of it was already on the board in old posts and I went back to those, I didn't feel like screenshotting from my Kindle or wherever lol.
  5. I just need one more scene of all those bitches getting together at Deception to whine about Lucy giving them a job. I'll lose it. I'm all for Serena coming back just to put them in their place and help her mother steal it all back.
  6. I don't think it has anything to do with that today. Frank was not remotely involved with GH at the time. He and Ron Carlivati also brought her back to the show with great fanfare initially. I think they see Lynn and Lucy as utility players, and there's some truth to that. But Lucy the scrabbling real estate agent while also being a major cosmetics tycoon? Lucy constantly being the butt of jokes for BLQ, etc. at her own company, or the dupe for every baddie who comes to town? That's not necessary, and it's lazy that they keep putting her in those roles. They do it because they know she can sell anything. But she deserves much better.
  7. Clint didn't deliberately throw a chair at Erika, but he had been drunk, it was an accident and his fault. I won't quote the whole passage from Llanview in the Afternoon, but this is some of the other stuff from her following that extended anecdote:
  8. I think it may have gone deeper than that with Clint. They were not trying to get rid of him though. They intended for Clint to win that triangle. And if Gottlieb wanted him gone she'd have done it. Instead she told him to stay sober or she would fire him.
  9. My same reason. Well, that and Roy Scheider.
  10. I don't think JL is on contract and that certainly hasn't stopped them from frontburnering Joey. Anyway I'm just glad he's finally here.
  11. They are actively avoiding it for creative reasons IMO, but they are also running down Dante atm. This latest business is just dumb.
  12. Kevin and Lucy were a supercouple IMO. I think it's shameful what's happened. I'd still put them back together. I don't care! I would just say Christina goes by another name now. Maybe Julie or Julia, idk. If it was up to me she'd use Chris/Kris but with Kristina around at present that's not viable. Maxie and Nathan did have a fanbase, but there's no accounting for taste. I personally don't think that fanbase ever neared the heights of Spixie or anything pre-2010s, though and tbqh that's the baseline I judge by. Many of the couples since have been mid and low popularity at best. And I was not some huge Spixie fan back in the day - I was happy they were apart for a long time.
  13. The last thing Josh Taylor needs at this point in his life is a microphone. God bless.
  14. IIRC the Madison mother stuff only started up after the writing change.
  15. I think she's been mentioned exactly once during the course of the messy PC revisit in 2013, possibly only in reference to either Lucy and Kevin mentioning having two daughters. I wouldn't swear by it, but nonetheless AFAIC PC is canon despite the murky situation surrounding it to this day. Which I think at best you can reference in a line or two of funny dialogue. (And at some point in future I would like to make reference to Livvie Locke, and possibly even give her a kid.) I cannot imagine Maxie being chained to that inanimate steel ingot for the rest of our days. That pairing was so dull even the first time round. The Spixie revisit has been lovely and more mature, and I would much prefer keeping them together and giving them a proper wedding.
  16. You and I are the only two people who have seen that movie and are left alive.
  17. I kind of like the idea of pub events, etc. becoming a regular occurrence. It's a natural part of normal local life. Reminds me of something out of Eastenders, or when GH used to regularly give the hospital characters Girls Night Out, karaoke night, etc. in the 2000s. (Something they should still do)
  18. Both are which are terrible ideas for long-term pairings IMO, but definitely something the show would do. My friends know my longtime idea for Michael (going back to Chad's earliest years) was actually putting him with... Maxie. It came out of Chad being such a good straight man and a bit Bambi-eyed, particularly in the early 2010s, and would create a sort of unusual sort of fish out of water situation for Kirsten's Maxie as having to perceive herself as 'the older woman' while also being the screwball comedienne. And they'd get involved first in an unwise ONS and then business. I held onto that concept for a long time lol. I still think it might work someday with Rory Gibson who's very different but it is definitely not front of my mind anymore. Today the idea of putting Michael with a driven physician who matches his intensity and doesn't need him the way all his other love interests have (and may have a dark past or ties to the Asian Quarter, etc.), or someone like Serena or Zoe is more my speed atm. I would consider remodeling Serena as a Lucy-type in business but I would want her to be less of a flighty schemer than her mother, especially since I would be introducing her adopted sister Christina under some other name as a lead and she would be the real troublemaker (an activist writer and possibly cracked therapist). Serena would be sort of the light-sided counterpart. I would also want her to be competent, and they too rarely show Lucy to be that today which is a shame. But maybe Serena could swoop in to help her mother take back majority control of Deception from all these interlopers (BLQ, etc.) who keep putting her down every time there are literally any workplace scenes. That shít drives me nuts.
  19. It's where they will discover she is an imposter: A 30 yo grifter passing herself off as the real Peaches, whose desiccated corpse is squirreled away in some fruit cellar like Psycho.
  20. Yes, it's on the last page but it's been around.
  21. Cady was a pretty big hit with viewers as Rosanna.
  22. You didn't post anything, dude. You just quoted my msg.
