CC comes off too old to be Aiden, but I'm sure he'll be replaced again. HW has been pulling his weight better and longer than most child actors go. He deserved a contract and to be part of the next generation high school to college characters (unless it was his choice not to). Rocco loks too old as well, but Finn Francis Carr's scenes with Dante and "Lulu" talking about himself came off really well, especially when he talked about a girl maybe "checking him out". Violet, on the other hand, that mess needs to move away with her dad. I also remember the scenes where Elizabeth invited Lucas over to dinner with Brad for Aiden's benefit. They could have followed through over the years but important <cough> characters like Frankles and Hammy Finn were more important<coughs>. Lucas was shortshrift, as always.

Aiden was fine in the hands of Enzo DeAngelis, who s matter-of-fact"ly" spoke to his Mom. Lucas has always been a Spencer, and in no universe would Bobbie say to him, "Oh Lucas, the heart wants what it wants, just treat Lucky's son right." Rebuilding the relationships among the Spencer family seems to be the way this team is trying to go. Being a supportive uncle that Aiden can ask questions because Lucas has been through the same thing (mentorship, as @Vee was saying) just helps pull the family unit together. Queer as Folk: Family Edition just doesn't work in this narrative.

He was born in Chicago on June 15th, 1934, and moved to Seattle in 1937. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952, and the University of Washington in 1956. He was awarded a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship for advanced writing study at Columbia University from 1958-1960.. Through the late 50's and early 60's he served in the Armed Forces, married the former Julia Tayon, and taught English. In 1965 he secured an acting position with the Seattle Repertory Theatre which determined the course of his professional life for the next forty years. He alternated between jobs with theater companies throughout the country including The Seattle Repertory, Baltimore Center Stage, Stephens College (Artist-in-Residence) of Columbia, MO, Minneapolis Guthrie Theater, Denver Center Theater, and Repertory Theater of St. Louis. In addition, he played Off- and On-Broadway in New York, some highlights being Beggar's Opera, Over Here, and Strangers. Among his numerous TV and film credits were Mosquito Coast, Mrs. Doubtfire, Tom & Huck, Silver Bullet, and The Postman Always Rings Twice. As much as he loved the work, he held the countless and varied friendships that the work provided, in equally high esteem. He was known by friends and loved ones as a deeply spiritual man, and became a convinced Quaker in 1989, where he found much love and support in the spiritual communities of his Meetings on both coasts. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margaret Ramsey of Ardmore, PA., his son, Liam Newman of Seattle, WA, his daughter, Katherine Newman of Los Angeles, CA., and his brother, Stephen Newman of New York, N.Y. A third child, Matthew, died of a fatal fall in 1976 at age 10. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 27, at 3 PM at Old Haverford Friends Meeting, 235 East Eagle Road in Havertown, PA. A.Times: Francis De Sales, 76; Veteran Radio, TV and Movie Actor By PENELOPE McMILLAN Sept. 29, 1988 12 AM PT Share Times Staff Writer Francis De Sales, a character actor featured in more than 3,000 radio shows, including the long-running series, “Mr. and Mrs. North” in the 1940s, has died at his Van Nuys home of cancer. He was 76. De Sales played police Detective Bill Wiegand in the popular “North” series while it aired on radio, from 1942 to 1954, and again when it became a television series, between 1952 and 1954. Lt. Wiegand was the Norths’ foil, watching the couple stumble on murders wherever they went and standing by as they ultimately solved the crimes. According to his wife, Doris, De Sales was born in Philadelphia and took to acting after failing to sell his work as a writer. His first big role was in “Dead End,” a 1935 Broadway hit that was the precursor to the “Dead End Kids” and “Bowery Boys” movie series. After several more stage roles in New York, he turned to radio, and at one point had his own show, “King’s Row,” which later became a movie with Ronald Reagan in a leading role. De Sales moved his family to California once the “North” series went on television. He later had roles in “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” playing David Nelson’s boss at a law firm, and in “Two Faces West,” a 1961 Western series. He appeared in more than 20 films, including “A Majority of One,” “Psycho,” “The Outfit” and “Wait Until Dark.” Funeral services for De Sales, who died Sunday, were held Wednesday evening at the St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church in North Hollywood. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephan and Christopher, and four grandchildren. Without an ability to edit, I'm not sure how additional information can be added anymore. Times ArchivesDec. 20, 1986 12 AM PT John Zaremba, the debonair, white-haired bean buyer in more than 100 Hills Bros. television coffee commercials, is dead at age 77. The journalist-turned-actor, who also played a regular role on “Dallas,” died Monday at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach. The cause of his death was not announced. For 14 years Zaremba was the fictitious bean buyer for Hills Bros. Most recently he had been filming a commercial for a new Hills Bros. coffee line, “Gold Label.” One of a handful of actors whose commercials did not interfere with other employment, Zaremba was seen in such TV series as “Maverick,” “12 O’Clock High,” “Bonanza,” “Little House on the Prairie” and “Dallas,” where he portrayed the family doctor, Harlan Danver. “I was so pleased they thought of me” for the role, Zaremba told a Times interviewer last June. “In Hollywood I’m viewed as a lawyer, judge or doctor, and that’s what I’ve concentrated on.” Zaremba was on the staff of the Chicago Tribune and appearing with his wife at Mummer’s Theater in the evenings when they decided in 1949 to come to Hollywood so he could try to become a full-time actor. He landed a few small roles in local theater and film before becoming FBI Agent Gerry Dressler on “I Led Three Lives,” the 1950s TV series starring Richard Carlson.
