  1. I would like to echo those sentiments, @Soapsuds I am very sorry for your loss. I know someone who passed from COVID-19 but it must hit differently when it's family. I will be holding everyone who has suffered through illness or a loss because of this dreadful virus in mind when I March my absentee ballot (which arrived today) to the drop-off box.
  2. Surprisingly candid, considering how reigned-in most of the discussions had been previously on this particular YouTube channel. I missed a portion of the actual livestream so I went back to watch yesterday when I had time to sit down and watch (rather than while multi-tasking).
  3. This article that came out days ago illustrates the uneven approach that the FFT is taking to staging this event. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/30/sports/tennis/coronavirus-french-open-bubble-hotel.html
  4. Still, I enjoyed this livestream discussion and the openness of the discussion, especially the social issues like BLM and LGBTQ and election/voting issues.
  5. Went back to see the beginning of the Locher Room livestream with Maureen Garrett, Rick Hearst and Amelia Marshall and that part where they all talk about the forest fires in California and wonder what will happen next 😳. Just a few hours later. I am glad that Amelia got to talk about working with Vince Williams and how special the Gilly/Hamp wedding. I wish Alan hadn't interrupted. Interesting to hear about the resistance to the Jessica and Duncan relationship on ATWT. It makes me wonder Marland's other story featuring a Black family faced resistance that perhaps Marland couldn't overcome. Sad to remember how lacking in courage the executives behind these shows could be.
  6. Trish James won't be pausing any pursuit of those tax forms. Anyone who believes otherwise just doesn't know anything about Ms. James.
  7. Paul Taylor is the name of the actor who played Isaac, I think.
  8. This is not just a feeling, this is a fact! It was as if many of the women writers on daytime soaps felt they had something to prove and as a result, had to be harder-charging, coarser and more brutal in their characterization and that would somehow prove their "mettle" by being especially cutting in their writing of women characters (a warped quest against being accused of being partial maybe?). It's really a shame because a writer who is a man feels perfectly entitled to write a man who is sensitive with many sides to his personality with many twists and turns in how he is written, meanwhile so many of the women characters will absolutely be savaged, under the pen of writers who are both men and women. Such a shame.
  9. From what I recall, it was someone in the chat that suggested that it was McTavish. Susan asked, demanded to know who wrote her final storyline. She asked Jay and he said he didn't know. Someone in the chat asked about McTavish and Susan said that she believed that McTavish didn't like to write for a woman.
  10. Some of us, in jest mused about Nancy Pelosi being sworn in as POTUS, until 2021. That was months ago but now it doesn't seem so far-fetched.
  11. Melania is probably big mad because she got separated from her Fifth Avenue side-piece. She truly doesn't care about those kids. Or anything, it seems.
  12. Someone described Trump as acting like a feral animal.
  13. JMO but I think these people are playing dumb, like people are pretending to be undecided when most just don't want to go on the record, while others want to remain evasive, if they think it will mean that they will be "courted" for their vote.
  14. I know Jay spilled first but he was still being somewhat diplomatic. Susan really let it rip about how it felt personal how her character was being demeaned at the end. That, I think gave Jay license to admit that although he liked Marj Dusay as a person, he didn't really enjoy working with her. He started it but Susan definitely upped the ante and I was here for all of it.
  15. Susan kept it 💯 which I greatly appreciated. I was also entertained. I think her unfiltered frankness made Jay even more open. Although I felt as if they could have carried the conversation between the two of them alone, I appreciate that Alan didn't try to steer the conversation away from what Susan was feeling. It needed to be said. "... when people stop being polite and start getting real." Also, I think she looks great.
  16. Me too. NGL, I loved Mindy and Rusty together. The way he'd call her "short stuff".😄 They were fiery.
  17. I largely avoided the debate, knowing that it would be terrible but from what I've been reading this morning it seems as though Trump's "standby" comment is being remembered the most, followed by a number of people who seemed surprised at how well Joe did, which goes to show the type of disinformation that Biden has been up against-that so many expected him to be a doddering fool, just because of the lies that have been told about his neurological state.
  18. Glad that I elected not to watch.
  19. Come to think of it, I do remember seeing a couple tweets about Selena Gomez. I don't follow Ehrich but I did check on soap actors, every now and then to see what they are up to if I read about a project that mentions them in one of the entertainment trade blogs. And then there was that stalking incident, which hopefully is no longer a concern. Not sure why Lovato would get together with someone who had been so stuck on a frenemy but they both seem sort of needy. When Y&R wanted him, he was in the midst of that stalking situation. Hopefully that has been resolved, so maybe he can have another crack at a stint with Y&R because he needs something productive to do. Welp. I guess what he needs is therapy, rather than a run on a soap.
  20. Oh cringe, lol. Dude needs to get busy writing a song or something. I have to admit that I had no idea he was dating any one person because the last time I saw anything from him he seemed to be crushing on one or two other ladies, none of whom were Lovato. When that engagement post first made the rounds, I immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was a pandemic relationship. Two people who didn't have much else to do and became each other's 'thing to do'. Having said all that, I also would like to see him back at Y&R. Y&R has been salivating over his social media following as that is their main criteria these days, so it seems.
  21. This morning I saw a headline that Meghan had given her daughter a patriotic name and I was so sure that I knew what that name would be that I didn't even bother to read the article to see if I was correct. Now I have confirmation that I was correct. Talk about predictable!
  22. If that's the case then that's really a shame. Ehrich should just focus on nurturing his talent because he is genuinely talented.
  23. Besides being utterly unwatchable, Siegmund is the Nicolas Kiefer of women's tennis. The OGs will know what I mean.
  24. Why would it be surprising that Tulsi Gabbard is sharing Islamaphobic tweets when her campaign has been largely funded by Hindutva? Does no one pay an iota of attention these days?!
  25. A slightly different perspective on the various businesses leaving NYC.
