  1. Good question. I was thinking about that. He seems unaware of most of what went on before '97.
  2. I'm not one of those who thinks that celebrities should "shut up and dribble" but honestly, does anyone care about what Alley thinks? She has never been one that I look to for any sort of an opinion and even during her career 'purple patch', she can only be described as a kook at best. Why 😂 is she getting our time? With the RME emoji, I honestly thought she was being sarcastic. Oh well, who cares lol.
  3. Did anyone actually use the word bitter? I'm actually trying to remember because I wouldn't call her bitter. I think if she declined the invitation she likely has a good reason. Her character was woefully under-utilized at a time when she had decades of experience with the show and had proved that she was capable of doing "meaty" stories. That final era was known for blatant disrespect of a number of their veterans, so I don't know how anyone can be confused by the possibility that Tunie may have felt disrespected and not wished to unearth those memories. Or maybe she may not trust the show's ex-publicist to give her the space (uninterrupted) to say what she wants to say. Perhaps Locher already knows all this and is perfectly fine with putting the onus entirely on Tunie. Didn't Bryce put him off initially but Alan persisted? Perhaps there is bit of relief that she declined the invite? In any case, not one Black actor has appeared on a single one of his ATWT reunion livestreams and I am more interested in learning why that is. It's not a good look, for sure. Perhaps if Alan got a group that she felt comfortable appearing with, the way he grouped Bryce, Bailey Smith and Marx together, he could eventually get her to accept an invitation. Unless he's not truly interested.
  4. So is Alan, or someone going to ask John Wesley Shipp to appear on one of these reunion livestreams?
  5. The Indian American community is going hard tonight. I hope that same energy is saved for the ballot box.
  6. I am hearing a lot of " Il est perdu" jokes, plays on Perdue's name.
  7. Did he even say anything about his time on Loving on the reunion livestream? I-
  8. I was listening to an overseas news program on the radio and they were discussing last night's town hall discussions and mentioned the ratings. Everyone around the world knows how consumed Trump is with ratings so for him to be bested by Biden in the ratings was a source of amusement.
  9. I was listening to a news.report from a Japanese broadcaster and I swear the reporter sounded just like Naomi Osaka. Made me wonder for a moment whether she might have been moonlighting as a journalist.
  10. It would enhance the discussion so much if Alan knew how to project clips. By the way, I saw the reunion with Krista and Mark, which was an entertaining watch. If Krista wanted to return to acting, I think she would find opportunities to work. Funny that her youthful looks were once used to disparage her ability to take on certain roles but now her youthful look can definitely be seen as an asset.
  11. I will never forget how relentlessly he was mocked on a certain soap opera podcast as part of overall spirit of derision lobbed at the TOLN soaps. Well, I can expect that the podcast's accompanying blog will breathlessly report his latest achievement while quickly seeking to connect him to the same soap whose work they once derided. Well, I guess he's having the last laugh now.
  12. Personally, I think that the preoccupation with this numbers quest has had a deleterious effect on Serena's psyche, which has taken root and manifested itself in her performance in finals. She hears it from her fans, some of whom are extremely negative to the point of utter toxicity. I also think the GOAT discussion among the men is borderline useless, tbh. It is a preoccupation with some hardcore fans, sure but it feels of too much "Inside Baseball" to me. As a once hardcore tennis fan who has followed the sport since childhood in the late 80s I can honestly that I am more more interested in what a Federer or a Nadal does with their foundation work than how many trophies they collect. Arthur Ashe will never be considered a GOAT according to the stats but he is probably the finest man to come out of the sport of tennis and his impact still looms large. Steffi Graf, who still holds the Golden Slam, hardly even remembers where her trophies are. Andre once told a funny story about watching Jeopardy and asking Steffi if she knew the question to one of the answers in a trivia category, (suspecting that it was her). Steffi said she didn't know. When it was revealed that she was, in fact, the question (you may all know that responses are given in the form of a question), a slightly exasperated Andre said "Babe, it was you!" to which Steffi simply shrugged. She didn't care. Decades later, it no longer mattered to her.
  13. The trolls don't matter to me. There will always be those who seek to diminish her accomplishments and will find ways to do so regardless of whether Serena hits some media-generated milestone. JMO.
  14. Serena's worth is not dependent on some artificial benchmark where the goalpost keeps being moved. As long as she has good health overall (no blood clots or hematomas) she'll be fine regardless.
  15. This just takes my breath away! This is the type of focus and organization that I wish soap fans had when the daytime soaps were still a viable product.
  16. Sam Querrey is definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. There were a lot of alternatives to the route he took(or should I say fled?). One obvious one may have been to not travel to one of Europe's COVID-19 hotspots with your wife and eight month old baby.
  17. Your anxiety level must understandably be high @Taoboi still, remember that it is vital that you take care of yourself and part of that self-care is to try to reduce your stress level. Vitamin D is an excellent idea, for the well as well as the unwell. Many of us tend to be deficient, particularly during the colder weather months, an this has consequences for our immune system. So, Baron was diagnosed with COVID-19. Anybody see Javanka lately?
  18. That #MagaHaberman moniker seems to have really taken flight. Apparently, it's trending.
  19. I feel badly for some of the people being adversely affected but as someone who once worked for a storied NYC cultural institution, I can tell you that there is a lot of rot on the inside that had put many of these institutions in precarious positions even before the advent of the pandemic. The #MeToo, #TimesUp and #WeSeeYou movements all attest to the deeply seeded problems embedded in these institutions. Hopefully the people who run these institutions can at least utilize this time to work towards greater equity so that things are better when the time comes for them to open up again.
  20. So ACB's event was basically a super spreader event.
  21. Taylor on the ATP side is already a Dad. Now Taylor on the WTA side is going to be a Mom.
  22. Those fake Black Twitter accounts are back from four years ago but seemingly with a different purpose--to try to keep white Trump supporters in the fold, especially seeing that some appear to be drifting away or lacking in enthusiasm. There are Trump supporters who know full well that he is racist but resent him being called a racist out loud. This campaign is clearly meant for these people. It's meant to appeal to both groups.
