  1. I think someone is thinking strictly in terms of parts for each actor as their character, rather than a good overall script, which is unfortunate. This also seems like someone wants to showcase the most recent characters (hello Liberty and Juicy Janet🥴) while providing enough vets to appeal to longtime fans of the show. Unfortunately, this also has the effect of looking like a one and done initiative, instead of an opportunity to reconnect with fans of the show and re-build a relationship with fans. Hate to say that it also screams "cash grab" for Trent's theater organization, which, like many theaters, may be in a financial bind right now.
  2. I agree. The vets deserve better than that final episode. A lot better.
  3. So many fantastic episodes to choose from in the show's history and this is what they choose?? I'd want to select an episode that either hadn't been seen in a long time or at least one that would leave fans wanting more and wondering when the next reading would be. Courtroom episodes usually provide great seated drama, without the need for much physical action. When Paul or Barbara went on trial for James Stenbeck's supposed killing. Or even further back in the show's history. Not everyone needs to play the exact role they had on the show.
  4. Eileen Fulton too? Since I couldn't get through it the first time, I couldn't imagine sitting through it now.
  5. Has Barr been seen in public lately, like, in the past two weeks?
  6. It's a moot point to focus on Tamara Tunie at this point since she's unlikely to have any time for Alan's podcast now since she recently signed on to direct a musical. My original point had to do with the absence of Black actors from ATWT appearing on Alan's livestream and how odd it is. Tunie is one of a number of actors who fits the bill. I mentioned her because she was probably the longest running and likely one of the final Black actors to regularly appear on that show, which is pretty sad, imo.
  7. Is Paris Masters still happening??!
  8. Wow, what a difference when the storyline, acting and video/audio quality are all top-notch! That YouTube channel usually has some grainy grainy episodes (I still appreciated then since most were posted nowhere else), so I admit my surprise at seeing episodes posted in such pristine audio and video quality. It takes my breath away to see all the future Emmy, Oscar and Tony awards winning actors in just one storyline alone. ATWT had such an incredibly strong roster of talent during that time. It just seemed to fit, lol.
  9. I have been reading about the sheer number of registered Democrats that have been voting early and by mail outpacing Republicans. There's a chance that Republicans, freaking out from Trump's rhetoric, are waiting until election day but normally it tends to be Republicans who usually vote by mail in higher numbers. It just looks like each of them are willing to, not only tank the other man's chances, but bring down the entire GOP, if he thought it would save himself. Only the most right-wing economist believes that the U.S. has a chance to rebound and rebuild from this with such an austere stimulus package. And make no mistake, austerity is what McConnell and Senate Republicans are proposing. It's unlikely that anything gets passed before Thanksgiving, if that. If Trump ends up a lame duck on his way out, there is no incentive to even negotiate until January, with a new Congress and God willing, a new president.
  10. As for the staged reading, I agree-- why the last episode? A month late too. A Thanksgiving episode would have at least been more interesting. How many characters actually appeared in the final episode? It seemed like such a small number. The last episode?
  11. The episode with Susan Pratt was great. I get the impression that he doesn't know as much about GL so he is less likely to preemptively censor or steer the reunions away from controversial topics or what he perceived as controversial. He can rest assured, TT is busy directing these days.
  12. Does it seem like Senate Republicans and the White House are bent on mutual destruction where the stimulus is concerned? Granted, Trump is completely unreliable and prone to change his mind faster than the weather but he and Mitch McConnell seem to be locked in a battle of wills as far as their ceilings on the total amount for the stimulus package.
  13. She's a Scientologist. Most of them believe that one can 'cure' oneself of mental health problems by auditing their minds. Very nutty, which is why I don't understand why her opinion gets any space on any public platform besides her own.
  14. Thing are so bad here at globally that there is a full-on armed conflict between two countries and it has barely made news here.
  15. Sorry if you misunderstood my post, as I never meant to give the impression that Tune would 'spill tea'-- that's not even my impression of her. From what I remember of previous interviews that she has done for other media outlets, she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would willingly go on a platform to have to censor her thoughts mince words just to make the host feel comfortable. I believe that is what I posted. Also, I was not the person who posted that Tune said no, just to be clear. It's not just about Tune , btw. I have yet to see any Black actors who appeared on ATWT on any of Alan's livestream reunions and I am wondering why that is. It seems odd to me.
  16. True. I couldn't imagine. I get the sense though that he grew up in a household where soaps were watched though. Perhaps he only really began to really follow once he began to work in the industry. Post mid-90s, especially for CBS soaps...are not really the halcyon days, far from those days.
  17. Good question. I was thinking about that. He seems unaware of most of what went on before '97.
  18. I'm not one of those who thinks that celebrities should "shut up and dribble" but honestly, does anyone care about what Alley thinks? She has never been one that I look to for any sort of an opinion and even during her career 'purple patch', she can only be described as a kook at best. Why 😂 is she getting our time? With the RME emoji, I honestly thought she was being sarcastic. Oh well, who cares lol.
  19. Did anyone actually use the word bitter? I'm actually trying to remember because I wouldn't call her bitter. I think if she declined the invitation she likely has a good reason. Her character was woefully under-utilized at a time when she had decades of experience with the show and had proved that she was capable of doing "meaty" stories. That final era was known for blatant disrespect of a number of their veterans, so I don't know how anyone can be confused by the possibility that Tunie may have felt disrespected and not wished to unearth those memories. Or maybe she may not trust the show's ex-publicist to give her the space (uninterrupted) to say what she wants to say. Perhaps Locher already knows all this and is perfectly fine with putting the onus entirely on Tunie. Didn't Bryce put him off initially but Alan persisted? Perhaps there is bit of relief that she declined the invite? In any case, not one Black actor has appeared on a single one of his ATWT reunion livestreams and I am more interested in learning why that is. It's not a good look, for sure. Perhaps if Alan got a group that she felt comfortable appearing with, the way he grouped Bryce, Bailey Smith and Marx together, he could eventually get her to accept an invitation. Unless he's not truly interested.
  20. So is Alan, or someone going to ask John Wesley Shipp to appear on one of these reunion livestreams?
  21. The Indian American community is going hard tonight. I hope that same energy is saved for the ballot box.
  22. I am hearing a lot of " Il est perdu" jokes, plays on Perdue's name.
