  1. I hope Manchin and Sinema's constituents continue to hound them, and may the Senators not know peace until they do right by them and everyone else in need of this legislation.
  2. I'm not that interested in the matter beyond a superficial curiosity, tbh. If he is in deep, he likely face the harshest penalties and stiffest blowback. Like I said, I haven't even kept up with what he's been doing since his earliest days at MSNBC. Another thing I have no deeper interest in but is somewhat fascinating is the fact that Facebook, What's App (which I never joined) and IG (had an account for all of two weeks) seem to all be temporarily imploding right now.
  3. Uh, I meant photos of Forbes and Kettle together, lol.
  4. Procter and Gamble soaps had to have the highest rate of actors developing romantic entanglements.
  5. His character was a British character of aristocratic lineage. I know that Kettle is South African (which, made me hyper aware and somewhat uncomfortable as to his possible political leanings at the time) but Stuart was British. That's why I need to see photos 😂.
  6. If he is indeed more involved, then his retribution will likely be the harshest, for all of the obvious reasons.
  7. IKR! Now I want to see photos, lol. We don't even get to see much of Tomei on YouTube videos and other than what's been posted on YT, my memories of this time is scattershot. I wish there were more episodes to watch. People moan and whine about Julianne Moore's British accent that she used for Sabrina at the time but "Stuart" had this odd South Afrikaans accent mixed with a hint of British-y peppering. The actor was cute enough but that accent bothered me.
  8. A friend of a friend is one of his siblings and I remember well over a decade ago (maybe about fifteen years, or so?) her pride in her brother when Watson got his first show on [MSNBC, I believe]. He came off as knowledgeable and charismatic back then but I admit, other than those segments coming across as ads on YouTube, I haven't really kept up with his career. It does seem as if he is indirectly involved in this fracas through an associate who had been misrepresenting himself. Hopefully, that's all this is because, otherwise he stands to lose a lot.
  9. He and Michelle Forbes were married??!🤯 I don't think anyone mentioned this in that previous thread of soap actors who were romantically linked.
  10. Very bizarre, albeit fascinating saga, what Watson calls a "Lazarus moment" for his company Ozy.
  11. That would not surprise me since he did appeared to be doing absolutely nothing during his time in office.
  12. That's a definite sore spot for me. There are so many entertaining episodes missing. Many people complain that the show revolves around Lily but that's not how I remember it. I think that what's up on YouTube paints a misleading picture. Perhaps some uploader are die-hard Lily and Holden fans because there is an abundance of episodes centering them but 80s Tom and Margo episodes are scarce. As much as we talk about Julianne Moore, the amount of early Frannie episodes are scarce. Hardly any with Julianne and Steven Weber together. So much missing, it's a shame.
  13. The pill is only once someone is diagnosed with COVID-19. It is not for use otherwise. Think of Theraflu, that people take when they are feeling symptoms. It is also very expensive and will be in very short supply until production can be scaled up. It seems as if they may make it available in pharmacies in the future but it may start out as being a prescription only, especially if it's in short supply, but from what I have read and heard from doctors, it is not a preventative, it is for people who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. It won't work like a vaccine, which can be effective before infection.
  14. Seems as if he might have been given a directive to trim some cast members from the outset. With Pinter having been there from mid '84 or so, he hadn't been on the show very long, so he may have been vulnerable to being cut. I know a lot of people found Brian boring but I agree with @Vee that he did seem to have good chemistry with Margaret Reed. Brian was so strait-laced and Shannon, so quirky (before quirkiness became a "thing"). Hillary Bailey Smith once said she marveled at his storyline projections and how extensive and detailed they were. Today's soaps don't do this and it shows.
  15. Having low expectations sounds like the smart thing to do. Sad but smart. My expectations will be in the basement.
  16. Nick Cleg ugh, what a tool if I ever saw one! I wonder if the liberals in the U.K. found him to be a waste of their political capital?
  17. So she's not unwell as some have proposed. Hm. He's still a hack but it would be good to see Eileen.
  18. I've never watched one full episode. Ever. I read about the Holly/Leah debacle, but I do agree with you on being surprised about this show lasting this long.
  19. Also, the COVID pill is no preventative, it is a therapeutic measure, once someone has already become infected, much like monoclonal antibodies, but relatively less expensive by comparison. Like monoclonal antibodies, the clock is ticking to stop the virus from replicating throughout the cells in the body. The vaccines are, to date, the closest thing we have to a prophylactic measure.
  20. The reason why Y&R will periodically bring up Keemo, while not bringing him back is because they believe soap viewers are easily placated with a simple nod to history, regardless of whether there will ever be any follow up. And to be honest, they've been proven correct. They don't want 'that smoke' involved in actual scrutiny from an audience that is not a 'dyed in the wool' soap viewer that is used to sloppy writing, countless stereotypes and nonsensical plots. The pressure of that weight of expectations would be too much for them. Better to do the 'tried and true' and tried some more stories that they always do. They are past the point of ever expanding their diminished viewing audience anyways.
  21. Remember the #PanamaPapers? Well, apparently, the Pandora Papers are supposed to be like the Panama Papers...on steroids.
  22. CBS Sunday Morning opened its Passages segment with Michael Tylo.
  23. CBS Sunday Morning opened its Passages package with Michael Tylo today.
  24. Lauryn Hill is diamond status. She reigns supreme in this category, lol.
