The Politics Thread
I agree with @JaneAusten that McAuliffe ran a lazy campaign. If reports are to be believed, he was hoping for the infrastructure bill to pass before the election to deliver a "win" for him to run on??? WTF! How about telling the people of VA what you as governor plan to do specifically to make life better for constituents and keep reiterating this and the fact that your opponent has no real ideas for improving daily life for everyday Virginians, other than making them afraid. Emphasize that America is at its best when operating on hope and optimism, not fear. Why did he even run again anyway? Part of me wonders whether he was the best that the Dems could do in VA. And don't get me started on that new Lt. Governor. Ugh, I do not claim her. I know gun-toting Sears is no Democrat but she is of my ethnic group and neither I, nor anyone else I know, claim her. What's wrong with the state of VA anyway?

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I posted it during the livestream that there definitely was nothing that hadn't already been covered in previous interviews being explored. I was just so glad to see Eileen. Given, a few posters who popped up in this thread last year trying to spread the notion that Eileen was cognitively unable to do one of these livestreams (persons who don't seem to be around anymore, thankfully), I was just glad to see her. I was also tickled to hear her respond "Of course, I remember!" to a number of Locher's questions. It speaks of a lady who has been asked this question more than once and is perhaps weary of being asked whether she remembers something.

GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
Thank you, Errol for leaving this a free-floating forum and you have definitely not shied away from these topics. And thanks for giving the 411 on the misperception on motives for the radio silence on some topics in the soap media. Personally, imo, it seems like access reporting, where some blogs/sites are more dependent on access to soap actors than others affecting reporting decisions. I can sort of understand this, but it becomes a bit more challenging to get my head around the concept when a particular site is known for publishing rumors and imagined scenarios like fantasy castings.

The Politics Thread
Are there people who still believe that Johnson can produce good results for the people? He seems to over-promise and under-deliver quite a lot. Also, the assertion that anyone can make about NJ is a long-time blue state when Chris Christie was governor not too long ago seems weird. I don't know about NYC but many areas had poor turnout, which has had a history of favoring GOP candidates. I still think it's a weird flex for media to use municipal and non-Congressional elections as some sort of bellwether for midterms, but I guess we'll see. Anti-CRT campaigns flopped in more than they succeeded but this was only half-discussed days after the election. Doesn't sell headlines and clicks, I guess.

Thanks for the summary, @OzFrog. From the article I read this morning, I gathered that it was an ethics violation but your summary clarified matters.

This scandal is something that I am unfamiliar with, despite the fact that I watch the BBC News world broadcast several days a week.

I admit to not knowing much about this player but I know she has been around for years now, she should've known better, honestly.

I tried to get past it and focus solely on Eileen but man, it's a challenge when the host is so inept at maintaining conversation threads. He would just stop the conversation cold, he's so stilted. I was grateful that Don could come on, that helped give the conversation more texture, it felt natural.

Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread
I have to be honest and go on ahead and admit that I don't know all that much about old Hollywood. Most of the things that I've learned have been in recent years. I can tell you about scripts and some production histories of certain films and especially plays, but personal lives...not so much.

I just wish there were a better host/interviewer to focus this, but I guess for someone who's never read about Fulton or seen/read any interviews these are brand new insights. The photo of Lisa and Earl is a nice touch. More photos and some clips would probably help. Still, it's very nice to see Ms. Fulton. Worth putting up with Alan.

$10K for Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, I can possibly see but for someone who practically sleepwalks through scenes??

B&B: Bold from the beginning
Looking back at these earliest episodes, it really is obvious why these particular actors were chosen to portray the Logan family- the bone structure, along the jawline in particular, is very similar, and when you add in Judith Baldwin, the actress who played the original Beth Logan, the pattern of facial similarities between the actors who portrayed the Logans is magnified that much more. I'm not saying they look identical, just that the bone structure, especially along the jawline is strikingly similar.

GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
It's weird how all these soap blogs that normally feast on rumors are so mum in instances like these.

Speaking of Boehlert, this makes me wonder whether the Democratic party is equipped to do this, because the lying only seems to be getting worse with little acknowledgement from most media.- The Tennis Thread

Ooh, it's been awhile since I procured a script for a television show, lol. I used to get scripts in the regular when I was in graduate school when I took a sitcom writing course. I have a small library of film scripts though.- GH: Rumors regarding the vaccine mandate
As someone who grew up on Y&R but no longer watches, part of me thinks that maybe I have no right to answer this question, but I did see Burton's first run on Y&R and honestly, I wouldn't be interested in a Dylan return, the character had become dead weight by the time of Burton's exit. An initial return might give Nikki something to do initially, but with JG's writing, that would last all of a week. Paul's no longer on the canvas, Sharon has Rey, who is basically a Dylan replacement. The Chance aspect has effectively taken the place of Dylan's disappearance. Also, if he is not vaccinated, what's the point? Y&R probably has more elder actors on the show than GH. Why put them at risk for a minor character who wasn't even known to the show's longtime fans until a few years ago? Not worth the trouble, imo. - The Media/Journalism Thread
