Watching these early episodes, I have definitely see where the sense of foreshadowing comes into play. This is where the father really differs from the son. WJB hails from that old school, where storyline seeds are planted, take root, with the belief that it will play out in due time, rather than the fly-by the seat of the pants type writing that soap HWs have done over the last 15+ years (even further back for some shows) now. It makes a huge difference in how stories play out. B&B is far from perfect and was never my favorite soap, but in the beginning, at least, the storytelling seemed far more thoughtful than it ended up being years later.

Frankly, the best way to get around music rights issues may be to stream, rather than sell episode compilations. I think this may be the reason why ATWT episodes can usually be up on YouTube for years, when most uploader account holders express that they don't intend to make any profit from the videos. I think the problems happen when people try to sell work with a copyright on it, especially when they had no part in creating the source material. JMO, but if there were a link to identify the song, singer/songwriter and purchase the song in the description, something tells me there wouldn't be much objection.

That would have required some foresight on their part, something that daytime soaps, for the most part have never been consistently good at doing. After Sursok, it just seemed as though they were finished with the character and the Carlton family line at that point. Abby was soon transitioned into a full-time Newman, with her Carlton connection history.

I know it was the Aussie actress in the role at the time but what a sheer lack of foresight in not thinking that maybe they could bring back Fonseca or the actress after her in the role. Both had good chemistry with Luckinbill and Fonseca's chemistry got even stronger when they played a couple on that Nikita series.

He's put out an entire clusterfück of senseless tweets where he apparently cosplays Ted Lasso, several people have said. A mess.

I won't bring up the fact that Y&R should have found a way to undo Colleen's death years ago and brought her back, even for a brief story arc, especially when Thad was there.

Anybody remember the Indie Soap awards? Years ago, Colleen Broomall (toddler Danielle Andropoulos) did several red carpet interviews for them. She was very good. If only we could get her as a host for these online reunions. She even has a degree in Communications.

She had done primetime television, then a few indie films before having a baby. She also manages a charitable organization from what I saw awhile back.

Revisiting these early episodes, in comparison with the recent seasons '00s, it just seems like the Brad Bell episodes that I have watched seem much more superficial.

Nice to see that Lyndsy is still, in fact, acting. I remember when there were folks who were insinuating that she had retired from acting, when I thought she was just taking time off after having a baby.

I don't think so. Jumaane Williams was likely more of a factor, as each seemed to be concerned about the other running. Williams may still enter the race anyway. If he does, James definitely complicates matters for him.

For the sake of everyone that continues to have expectations, I hope it pans out, but I'm long past the point of any actual expectations where that YouTube page is concerned. I didn't realize that the Michael Damian one has been postponed. Maybe Michael saw that view count?
