  1. I'm hoping this will just be some random guest character, because she's not an actress. Pat Sajak was on DAYS as Kevin Hathaway for one episode on November 9, 1983. I don't know what his story was, but I'm pretty sure he didn't have any connection to Megan.
  2. Sorry mate, I also think the mystery culprit was going for Alex and the reason he missed getting stabbed was because Alex ran to push Cat of the way. Question is, if it's hopefully not Jeremy who tried to kill him, why would anyone have a reason to want Alex dead? Chanel mentioning SIDS gave me pause that Tesoro could be going the same way. This could all add to Marlena's distress considering how it would impact Johnny and, of course, because it would remind her of DJ. Chad asking Jeremy to return Rachel to Marlena made me hope for a redemption reunion scene for Marlena and Jeremy, but alas, I was disappointed all over again.
  3. That E.T. theme so effortlessly brings about a flood of nostalgia for me, almost to the point of an emotional release. Take me back!
  4. Wow, can't even spell his own mother's name correctly? The disrespect!
  5. Trevor Donovan's Jeremy was a mess, but I vaguely remember some good scenes towards the end with Maggie, so I hope the characters get to properly reunite soon.
  6. I was very disappointed in Jeremy and Marlena's first scene together. They couldn't have taken a couple minutes for her to ask after his parents, and/or have a small moment regarding Laura, his grandmother and one of her best friends? It would have been so simple and added so much.
  7. All of this is perfect for a rainy night like tonight. My contribution of a film I watched recently, plus it's sequel...
  8. Victor Webster as Nicholas Alamain are my earliest memories og a man being objectified and liking it.
  9. @I Am A Swede Wonderful thread idea. I've loved listening to every film score/theme posted in this thread so far.
  10. What a relief that Suzanne Rogers is going to be alright, and long may Maggie stay put in Salem for years to come, with that beautiful head of hair in tact.
  11. One critique against Tyler Joseph Andrews: He throws his hands and arms around too much in every scene. I'm happy to meet Hank Northrop as Liam. Solid start so far and a strong presence. He worked well with James Reynolds. Just the thought of his first scene with Deidre Hall makes me wispy. Interested to learn exactly how he's tied to the Selejko family. Happily, Jeremy was without one of those awfully cheap and ugly leather jackets that all the Horton men wear. JJ unfortunately continues not to be as lucky. Jada going on a date with Jeremy is a wildly blatant Horton replacement/switch out from Shawn. Unless the writers are going to grace us with some sort of Jada/Jeremy/Belle/Shawn quad, which I highly doubt. Of course, Michael Roark is an infinitely better actor than Brandon Beemer could ever hope to be, so that's a slight win. Shame that TPTB seem to feel that both can't be in play though. It may feel like small potatoes, but I would love if these arguments lead to permanent end to Paulina and Abe. I'm a Paulina hater as I find Jackée Harry a horrible actress on this show, so the end of her marriage lead to the end of her time on the show as well, I'd be very pleased. I can only hope Jackée has had enough and decided to move on. I just hope if she were to leave (which is probably just be grasping at straws) that Chanel would remain and her place on the show wouldn't be diminished.
  12. Thanks for posting, Faulkner. She was a true gem of a woman and a great actress. With all the different people she worked it, you could just imagine the stories she had to tell, and she was one of the last to ever be able to tell them. A true loss.
  13. City Slickers - I only vaguely remembered it from my childhood, but I just watched it as an adult and I had no idea how much heart and humanity there was in it. Pushing 40 in a few years myself, it really hit home. Not to mention all the supporting cast is a real who's who from a young Yeardley Smith to being Jake Gyllenhaal's film debut. Plus, it must be said, even before I saw Jack Palance had won an Oscar for it, I thought he was fan-f*cking-tastic in this movie.
  14. To be fair, he originally was a cop and I think even had a different name when Elon mentioned him to Anita, so she's probably just as confused as the rest of us. Speaking of retcons, remember when Randy said he had a wife and kids to Joey? Was that bs? I guess they went the way of Laura's boyfriend, though she's been M.I.A long enough that they easily could have broken up, but a continuous thread wouldn't hurt on continuing soap opera.
  15. Also, hair experts let me know, Suzanne Rogers' gorgeous hair isn't all naturally hers right? That's extension magic? Do people, lads or ladies, of her certain age ever have that quality of hair naturally ever?
  16. I'm not trying to sound like his defender, but RSW as Alex has an all too real world familiarity to him. We all know a straight guy just like him in real life for better or worse. The show got a genuine chuckle out of me with Philip's creative phrasing about realizing Stephanie was Anastasia Sands, and Alex's reaction, especially later on with Stephanie, felt so true. He's trying his best to keep his composure, but he's jealous and a bit possessive, and RSW plays that anger well. I swear if Chad adds to the debacle, Alex is going to explode and I'd be excited to see him go off, and where that could lead him or Stephanie. I don't have the chemistry issue with him others may, but that's all subjective, of course, and at the end of the day he (and Stephanie) would be on my eventual axe list. Sarah and Xander's dramas had me glued to the screen once again. This whole story, literally going on a year now!, has been a complete hit for me. Still one of the strongest parts of the show. That moment we saw Xander control himself from losing control was very important to show us how far he's truly come. Still, I was a bit miffed when Sarah was listing off his prior crimes that Eric and Nicole weren't mentioned since that was his first big story. The actress playing Amy has always been good so I have no problem with her being a thorn in Johnny and Chanel's hopes to adopt Tesoro. I wonder if this will push Chanel to fight dirty and let EJ help them, and if that's the case, I would hope it blow up in her face.
  17. Wonderful to see classic Marlena or any of DAYS before the supercouple era. Being that they were in 1979 and Marlena still mentioned the David Martin clinic, I wonder how much longer the clinic was around, considering Susan was long gone. It would have been smart to never let it go and always have that faint link to the past and small hope that Susan could return at any point. I'd bring Annie Peters or probably her heretofore mentioned grandchild first to re-open it in a heartbeat.
  18. All this bloviating about wombs makes me yearn for the days when child characters were sent to boarding school en masse. One of soaps finest lost traditions.
  19. Today was a solid episode and one of the main reasons for that was because there was no major and exhausting exposition dumps.
  20. If anyone knows where I can watch Hollyoaks Later, DM me, please and thank you.
  21. And they use Julie, Marlena, and Maggie very well, and are starting to do the same with Abe.
  22. Taking guesses at Andre's past ... did he run out on a woman who had his kid? For some reason, maybe cause the stories were played concurrently, but I almost got the impression that maybe Andre has secretly been working with Hayley? Maybe it's too farfetch'd an idea, but it did pop into my head regardless.
  23. Randomly found myself re-watching the final scenes of Six Feet Under and noticed 2025 was the same year Ruth passed. Made it even more heartbreaking.
  24. The first and second page of the thread have indexes for all the actors and the page number their profile is on.
