This will sound random as hell, but my new fan-casting is Erik von Detten returning to DAYS, not as Nicholas Alamain, but as a recast Philip Kiriakis. Wiki says he retired from acting and seems to lead a happy life outside of Hollywood, but he has a nostalgic place in the millennial zeitgeist for various roles and judging by an Insta post he made last year, he's aged well and seems like a perfect replacement for Jay Kenneth Johnson and who Philip would grow up to be. Just some after midnight thoughts because hokey-pokey JPL ain't cutting it.

Reading his recent TV Insider interview, it came across to me, even though it wasn't explicitly said, that he really only left DAYS for Y&R because he thinks it'll be a safer option long-term. It made me wonder if DAYS' good luck has well and truly run out. Of course, it'll still be almost two years until we know for sure, but either way, I really don't believe it's because of any story choices made on DAYS or promised on Y&R that determined the jump.

A true miracle would be if this kidnapping made Stephanie interesting again. She was only watchable when she was a neurotic mess. Of course, Abigail Klein has the range and charisma of a lamp post, so it's probably a moot point.

How many victims we talking here? Salem Serial Killers levels? And, of course, who's the culprit?

Wasn't it stated on-screen at some point that Marlena and Maggie's friendship took a hit because of her relationship with Victor after he did something nefarious? With the positioning of Julie across from Marlena and Maggie it gave her an authority that she deserves, almost like she was reminding them, no matter what, she'll always be the HBIC or Queen Bee. Completely fictionalized in my mind, but the thought amused me. What I really yearn for is a prominent Marlena/Maggie one on one scene for us to really analyze.

Greg Vaughan is one of the sexiest men to ever exist to me, but if we're talking underratedly or someone who doesn't garner much talk these days, Agim Kaba (my avatar) is my strong and sexy number 2. From the UK soaps, Ashley Taylor Dawson will always be my favourite.

As an actress, she's so underrated and I'll miss her tremendously. She always brings 100% and delivers every time and to do that with the craziness of Hollyoaks is no easy feat. On the other hand, her and Tony still being together is beyond ridiculous so ending them is welcome, but I fear with four kids, especially little Eva, her death is probably imminent. I would love to be wrong on that count though. I also hope this doesn't mean they try and attempt putting Mercedes with Tony anywhere down the line. Them almost having a child together, twice at my count, was bad enough. Since Claire Sweeney is leaving Corrie too, I wonder if the hopes/rumours of Brookside potentially returning could have merit. If not, I'd love to see Alex Fletcher heading a new family on Emmerdale. Has that show ever had scousers?
