Thoughts:
Darlene is working a dispatcher/operator at the 911 centre of the DCMP? So law enforcement, in some capacity, is very much a Hawthorne family tradition. Very interesting.
Of course Hayley is sipping on some bubbly while waiting for Bill to come to the car. Enjoy it while you can, darling.
Not Eva pulling away from Izaiah, and I am glad that Izaiah is calling it out.
Oh, we love a Dupree family tea time at the country club. How nice. I would love moments like this, despite not liking tea.
I am sure whatever it is that Joey whips up for the family reunion dinner, it will work out.
Well, well, well... hello, Heather. Surprised to see you at the casino. You are really buttering up Vanessa and making your presence in Fairmont Crest known. Very interesting.
Beautiful Babes Bitches be Jealous Of? Oh, I love that name, Vanessa. And I am here for it. I swear, if Heather were not Joey's sister and she were not the Impaler, I could envision these two could be quite fine friends.
That was very sweet of Anita and Vernon to mention how much they feel Katherine has grown over the past few months. Do I agree? Not necessarily, but I am glad for her sake, she is hearing this.
I am sorry, Eva, but I fully am on the side of Izaiah and Ted that you need to speak to a professional to deal with what you are going through. It is understandable you feel some kind of way because of the scare, but it is psychological, too, not just physical.
Damn. Things are really touch-and-go right now where Bill is concerned. Hopefully this ends positively and not with Bill's death.
Hayley, you do not care about your husband... you just want to see if he is dead and you can get your undeserved payout.
Wow... hard to believe it has been nearly one year since Douglas' passing. Where does the time go? Time flies.
Damn. Heather and Vanessa are three... no, damn near four sheets to the wind. And Heather has her eyes on someone? Who could that be, Heather? Does their name begin with the letter A? 🧐 What a time for Joey to talk back in. Whoopsie.
Katherine Marie? Not the middle name I would have expected for her, but I do like it. Katherine Marie Richardson. Quite the name.
Not the trip to St Barts being brought up. Quite interesting. This is about to be insane.
Hayley, you will not be winning the Ocar for "Best Actress". Maybe a Golden Raspberry Award, though.
Oh, Dani is doing toe-to-toe with Hayley without any kind of hesitation. It is about to be ON! I am so stoked!
Dani is not acting like this is Jerry Springer but you, Hayley, were acting like it was an episode of a production from Tyler Perry Studios. Absolutely unnecessary.
A pacemaker? That is serious business. Gosh. This has to end well for Bill. And I am hoping he is not allowed to check himself out at the first chance he tries to get.
Oh, Dani, girl... you just refer to Bill as your husband. Present tense. And while I do not disagree with anything you are saying to Hayley, it is a bit alarming that these emotions are just boiling to the surface.
I am glad that both Eva and Izaiah were able to have this talk before too much time came to pass between them. Very touching moment between the pair of them.
Oh Heather. You sly, sneaking dog. You, unlike Hayley, can play a con against those in your orbit.
Banning Dani from Bill's hospital room? I doubt that will work out, Hayley. Dani is not going to let some note on a chart stop her from seeing the man that is still hers in every way other than legally.
Notes:
Much like Natalie Minardi Slater, scripts by Montgomery are just a breath of fresh air; his previous position of continuity producer comes in handy. And once again, Ponder's scriptwriting is very well-done. Surprised by this hire and even more surprised that Wolf Entertainment did not keep her on Chicago Med for more than one season. Their loss is our gain, though.
Some rough jumps during some scenes in today's episode. I do not know if there is a new editor working or if these episodes just slipped through someone's fingers. Hoping they get worked out sooner rather than later.
Was Ashley Jones (Heather) dropping her clutch, part of the script? Or was it a blooper-type situation that they decided to keep in the episode for character?
Ellie Wang (Caroline) is someone my eye has been on since day one. I am happy she is being involved more in the storyline, and I hope moving into the later part of the year we continue to see more of her. If I am being honest, she is who I would have placed on contract over some other players (e.g., Alex Alegria/Lami).
