Steve and Kayla's reunion was wonderful and I sat here in my chair saying where is Stephanie, she just has to see this and sure enough, here she comes...........perfect touch.

Wasn't it, bar none, the best scene in DAYTIME this week, Jean?!!! (And yes, I know it's just Monday, but still.) I mean, it's like, "Wow, beautiful reunion...and Stephanie makes three!" It came full circle and I can't see how that reunion COULDN'T deeply touch a viewer, no matter how long they've watched Days. I sure as hell wasn't watching when Stayla were the 'it' couple but I was just shaking during that last scene. This is going to be THE couple to watch. I truly believe that!!

Meanwhile, why did Stephanie lie, without shame, about loving Max?

And also, did I hear her correctly? This !@#$%^&*] thinks Max is now 'the one' and they haven't so much as kissed? (they haven't, have they?)

Don't get me wrong, I love her and think Shayna's a great actress and she's REALLY making me like Stephanie with her whole unconventional beauty/tomboy but hottie schtick, but really, what is Stephanie thinking? And the fact that Chelsea knows the truth and does nothing with it is beyond me! Talk about learning an amazing amount of self-control.

For the first time ever, EJ annoyed me today. The pastry thing and then he seemed so smug about having dirt on Carrie, Austin, and Sami. It's almost like he is enjoying immersing himself in their lives. I am really starting to sour on him and I have liked him until now. I don't know why but the last 3-4 episodes I have been unhappy with him. Maybe it has been all the LUMI stuff but whatever the case he is losing his appeal to me. It's not James Scott's fault though-I am hoping with Beth starting this will get better.

But I disagree with you on one thing: I'm DYING to find out why he's so gung-ho about keeping Caustin's sex secret. Why did he say his reason was entirely selfish? How intriguing is THAT, man? I don't know, E.J., when he's not an ill-mannered THUG, intrigues me.

OMG, Della's throaty phone sex/hillbilly tramp voice is part of her appeal to me. It's campy/silly enough to make me want a contract for that actress. I just did NOT stop laughing at her scenes, no matter how serious they were supposed to be. Della was amazing comic relief.

I'll admit, though, I felt a bit sorry for her today when she realized Nick was gone.

I guess I was always raised -- though admittedly, I made a lot of this up myself -- that there are certain rules in social situations. And again, I made a lot of these rules up for myself so whenever someone on a soap breaks one, I'm just GOING to call them out on it. For instance, E.J.'s been in the U.S. for what, a few months? And already he thinks he's in a 'comfort zone' with the Fab Four to earn the right to just take without asking? First of all, yes, it's wrong to take anything without asking, but some friendships have reached a level where it's 'understood' that you can 'share the wealth' with everybody, so to speak. I don't think this was one of those cases. Again, it takes years to reach that kind of 'comfort' zone. That's why 'Eej' clearly acted childish by snatching what I bet was one DELICIOUS pastry. And if Austin's like me, he'd buy four for Lucas, Carrie, Sami and himself -- people whom he'd EXPECT to give them to -- but he'd have an extra one for himself. I can't remember how many pastries the writers said Austin ordered, but if the number was only four, E.J. would be TOAST, if I were Austin. If it was five then 'Eej' would still be in hot water because, dammit, that's my extra pastry, you thief! I'd say that E.J. was ONLY entitled to a pastry if Austin purchased six, and only then if Austin didn't intend to buy two extras for himself. But the point is moot because E.J. shouldn't have been at the apartment that late, SHOULD HE?! Plus, Austin did say he bought them for breakfast, so ONLY the Fab Four should have eaten them.

This, of course, brings us to one conclusion: E.J. is a bastard!!

I think a lot has to do with Fath's interpretation of it too, though. She could play MIMI as a victimized !@#$%^&*] more, but she doesn't. She plays her a straight up whiny victim 99.9% of the time. I don't think it's the writing either.

EJ is boring to me for the same reason Phoenix mentioned. He's so tied to the other three that he has no identity, save for keeping all of their secrets. Maybe that will change here soon.

I think Beth Milstein is setting up Billie/EJ. That's why the Sami/EJ romance seems to be dropped and why Austin keeps suggesting Billie to go out with EJ.
