@ranger1rg The bottom line is that I felt nothing when Heather said "I am The Impaler."

I laughed like Joey.

The story and the reveal of a newbie as the impaler were just awful.

As you've said of Joey, Heather doesn't seem menacing at all.

I'm behind y'all, but I am hoping to catch up soon. I will say as good as the Cotillion/Blood Plasma takedown week was, it all felt a bit anticlimatic. Things were just so stagnant, stalled, and drawn out that I really didn't care all that much once it went down. The Cotillion was beautiful and there was so much good that came out of it like the group scenes and the wonderful view into the rituals of a Cotillion.

Also, this isn't a request for stories to move along more quickly, but I do think this feeling of stagnation is in large part due to how things are playing out. We hear so much about what happens without seeing it. For example, one of the more recent episodes I just caught up on Grayson and Jacob are at the police station and Grayson talks about how he was just in for questioning. My first thought was, wouldn't it have been more impactful for the viewer and insightful for us to understand Grayson as a character if we were actually shown the questioning. It isn't something that would have required a new set or fancy decor, yet we are constantly subjected to hearing about things going on.

A bit of this frustration has led me to catching up on other shows or prioritizing other series, so I have fallen a bit behind. What I will say the most recent episode I saw with Derek's memorial and Dani/Bill's scenes about Mike and his Boys Club at the office were exceptional. Wow, Dani and Bill just have so much chemistry.

I wanted Carlton to be The Impaler lol. I didnt mind the reveal as I thought Ashley and Jon had a great sibling chemistry. I also like that she seems like she's gonna be hell on wheels.

Bring on the tornado !!!!!!

Welcome to Beyond the Gates, Ashley Jones. Surprised at how much I am buying her in the role of Heather right now.

I'm really liking what she gave today.

I'm looking forward to her intermingling with the other folks in Barrington County.

Is Ashley Jones character supposed to be some type of mob princess?

Yep, and the jury is out as to whether she can pull it off.

Ashley Jones as a mob princess is not working for me.

I just saw a clip on X. Is there a reason why they cast an actor 20 years younger than Lindstrom to play Joey's sister?

Now, it is totally possible for siblings to have such an age gap, but Lindstrom would have been an adult by the time his sister was born. Considering his life path, would he have been around to really see her grow up and create a deep bond?

Obviously with soaps in general and BTG, characters ages aligning to their actor counterpart doesn't seem to matter much, but I would have loved a more mature chatacter to take on the role, but let's see what Ashley got for us.

I guess it's good I was apoiled because this reveal would have really made zero sense otherwise. It still doesn't. I kept expecting Bridget to break into a Claudia Zacchara accent.

Dani hit Vanessa with a hard truth and of course Vanessa gets angry at hearing that. It is interesting that Dani and Vanessa had a conversation in the same episode that it was revealed that Joey's sister is the person responsible for Dani's son-in-law almost being shot. Whether writers are stringing together consequences to hit Vanessa will remain to be seen.

Of course Dana is overhearing the power players of Genoa City arriving in Fairmont Crest for Martin's fundraiser.

Ooohhh we are hopefully gonna get some Victor/Leslie and Jack/Leslie scenes!!!😂😂😂 too bad we don’t have Nikki’s stank eye there to stare daggers at Leslie but Diane will hopefully fill that void!

Silk Press Sheila would not dare to mess with Victor. He would see right through her. We know Victor would call her by her full name sounding like one word "Danalesliethomas".

Yup.

I can see Victor being sort of amused by her, the same way he used to act around Drucilla and Jill. After all, he doesn't need to deal with Leslie's BS every day.
