It's a credit to Irna that she was willing to go back to mentions of the Brandons (who were never on the TV show) and the ugliness between Meta and Trudy which was also from the radio show.
Clyde seems very forceful...
I did laugh at him telling Meta Bruce was not right for her and Trudy telling her Mark was not right for her.
Everything with Kathy is incredibly depressing and seems to be building to her death, even if she has a little more hope toward the end of the year. I don't know how I'd feel if I was sitting through this story every day.
Bert hating Paul is amusing and compelling to read as it pops up through the year. I wonder where Irna intended that to lead. You could tell she already had so much built up in establishing Paul - no wonder he lasted even long after she left.
I know they made clear that the reason Paul and Robin feel a connection is because of his being like a father to her, but it's impossible to not feel put off knowing that they would later marry.
I wonder if Kathy's nightmare of Bob Lang brought the actor back or if we didn't actually see him.
