Thoughts:
The howling winds of the tornado are insane! This is absolutely out of this damn world! The chaos happening right now is understandable; everyone is in a state of shock and distress. This is not an everyday occurrence.
Of course Naomi would want to go out in the middle of a damn tornado to go find Jacob. Girl, sit your ass down, and deal. If you make it through this, you still will endure.
Katherine, Eva is doing you a favour by getting you into a secure room. Whoops... I guess not? That does not look promising. At all.
Oh, great, I am sure that Darlene will blame Eva for Izaiah being in danger at the event.
It is nice that Dana is trying to help Anita with her injury. Hopefully it is genuine. Anita is doing her best to hold everything together to ensure things move smoothly.
Oh God! Andre was really hurt in the tornado! This does not look good. At all.
I cannot imagine being stuck in an elevator during an event like this. Between being stuck in general, being stuck with your ex, and then all of the other factors. I would be freaking out. And Dani slamming all numbers in the elevator? I never did that. but I probably would in an instance like this.
Well, it looks like Hayley and Kyle are trapped in the supply closet. At least they are safe. Trapped but safe. Worse situations to be in, right?
Oh no... Eva not feeling right, and Katherine acting like the spoilt, self-centred b*tch that she is, is not helping any situation right now.
Damn. Anastasia is in absolute disbelief and shock; Ashley being the bigger person to assist her was so sweet.
I appreciate Bill trying to remedy this situation with Dani with memories from their past. I just hope it works, because this is such a dangerous situation.
Damn, Hayley, you really just went in for that kiss. Bill be damned.
I am glad that Ashley is returning the support that Dani gave to her for Andre right now.
Oh God! Who is under the three?! Of course Abby would be the one to find them! I pray it is not Martin, but I feel like it could be.
"Get on your knees", damn, Dani. Demanding that (in isolation) is crazy.
Oh no! Not Martin! That is no bueno! I pray he is okay! But it is not looking good.
I pray Jacob's bull-headedness right now is not blocked by his grief over Derek. That's never good. He could get hurt or worse... join his buddy.
Not Hayley turning this situation into a dance party with Kyle in the supply closet.
OH MY GOD! Not coughing up blood! See, Katherine, if you had just bothered to pay attention to anyone but yourself, then you would have noticed how hurt Eva actually is! This falls on you, and I hope that grief carries you.
At least Vernon was able to supply the country club with some kind of power source!
Yasss! Let that electricity spark fly between Bill and Dani! It is about damn time! YES! I am so happy that this is happening! It is long overdue! YASSS!!!!!!!!! And look at that: she hit every. single. button.
Not putting up with it? Up with it? Girl, shut the f**k up!
Oh God, the chandelier decided there was not enough destruction going on in the ballroom! Right onto Abby's head, too! Could Abby not make it back to Genoa City? That would be the gag!
Notes:
Like Sara A. Bibel with yesterday's episode, Zimmerman is perfect for today's breakdown, given her previous history with The Young and the Restless. Plus, she understands how scenes are meant to flow. And Tate did an outstanding job with the scriptwriting. Nothing felt out-of-place at all.
Pascarelli did outstanding directing today's episode. His storied history in American daytime just worked so exceptionally well.
THOSE OPENING SCENES WERE F**KING INSANE! THAT WAS PURE CINEMA! Holy cow! That was just... breathtaking and jaw-dropping! Production did their damn thing with this episode. It feels eerie.
The entire cast, between Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless, did outstanding work! Amazing teamwork!
Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Jon Lindstrom (Joey) in a scene together is fun, considering both Bergman and Lindstrom were up for the role of Jack following Terry Lester's exit in 1989.
Today's episode flew by. Normally the hour is a fast one, but damn, today it was twice as fast. Love this soap so f**king much.
