Same. Great change of pace for the character of Doug. He and Vanessa operated more as a team, and I greatly appreciated it.

Is Ashley okay? This girl called Naomi a billion times, raced to her work, and forced information out of her secretary??? To the point Naomi said she would talk to her secretary as if the secretary was in the wrong. Maybe she didn't want to give you her whereabouts Ashley, because you are acting insane. Why are they writing this character like an emotionally dysregulated teenager. Your friend isn't available...how about call your mom or someone else...ffs this character is ridiculous.

I haven't finished watching but needed to let this out. 

Doug was an idiot, got some nerve all pissy with Vanessa when HE is the reason for all of it. \

 

I'm actually really happy for Chelsea and really enjoyed the Madison scenes today (inappropriateness aside haha). I think it's fresh to watch people dating with different occupations like this, one being old-school demanding and the other being more modern-day demanding. The conversation about her influencing was current and I see that a lot in the dating world right now.  It was cute watching her get giddy telling her mom about it too.

The Vanessa/Doug scenes were good too.

 

-- Chelsea and Madison had this hot, wild sex yet both of them looked styled for the club. OK then.

-- It's cool for Chelsea to be excited about Madison, but she's already "in love"? Uh...not good. That came off a bit immature to me.

-- Doug was really good today, and I hope he gets back at skeevy Joey and slut Vanessa at the same time. I get it that she's angry bout his gambling, but there's no high road for her when she's screwing guys all over town.

-- The Derek/Ashley story is INFINITELY worse because of the Andre factor. I still don't see even one reason Andre would be interested in this immature, flighty, emotional wreck of a human whose relationship complaint is dirty dishes in the sink.

-- Does BTG really see Andre and Ashley as a couple???

-- Would Samantha really have to ask her dad -- or anyone -- about gay sex? I don't think so.

I'm really enjoying MM portrayal of Smitty. He's really good at his investigative reporter job, he's a great Dad, and he's a great husband to Martin. I want to learn more about their backstory as a couple and Smitty's life before Martin.

Chelsea is absolutely coming off as thirsty to me and Madison seems to good to be true. I think this pairing is going to hit the skids quickly.

I have absolutely loved Vanessa this week, even though she's a total whore LOL I am definitely intrigued to see how this all plays out.

Ashley & Derek get a lot of criticism. I don't hate them but Ashley is completely neurotic and Derek just comes off as desperate. Ashley 100% wants Andre and he likes her too, but the writers need to do more to make the audience want them together as a couple. Shockingly, I like Dani & Andre but I do feel Dani & Bill are endgame.

Chelsea was absolutely eating it up, and right when Dani thought she'd avoided the topic, Chelsea brought it right back up. 🤣

The relationships in this episode all gave me the ick.

Chelsea, Miss DTF with couples, is suddenly in love with a woman she just met two seconds ago. Wasn't she saying the same thing to the one before? I hope there's another layer to this, because otherwise they're writing some of these relationships like the characters are teenagers. 

It is seriously frustrating how everyone around her seems to justify Ashley's pathetic behavior. Girl, you've been dating Derek for years. If you don't know by now if you want to marry him, then you clearly don't. Saying she wants to marry Derek but not wanting to accept a proposal from someone doesn't really match up for a couple that have been together that long. She clearly feels something for Andre, because delivering a baby in an elevator does that to people. *Cringe* Again, such a forced plot point for a lame romance. Andre wake up! 

Also, why is Andre obsessed with this woman? It was implied that he is some sorta playboy that never wanted anyhing serious and now he suddenly wants to be serious with Dani while obsessing over Ashley like she is the best thing since sliced bread. But, why? Clearly it is purely sexual, because what is it that he really knows about Ashley. It was implied in an early episode that Andre knew Ashley, but it didn't make clear how far back that extended...like did he know her because he had seen her previously at the hospital his aunt and uncle work out of or did he know her because they had crossed paths when he used to live in Fairmont before becoming a hot shot photographer. Either way, for a man that apparently has commitment issues, it is kind of ironic that he wants to commit to a woman that is neurotic as all hell and is vying for another with the emotional maturity of a peanut. Good luck with that Andre...but you annoy me anyway so it's deserved. 

Dani and Chelsea's conversation was sweet. I just wish it wasn't under the circumstance of Chelsea turning a date and sex into being in love already. Jacob and Derek was nice and even Naomi with Ashley. I feel like we need to develop these friendships in meaningful ways. Jacob and Andre would be a fun friendship to develop as well. 

Honestly, still don't care about that damn casino storyline. 

Brandon is improving, but those heavily emotional scenes still make me laugh. I thought Martin and busboy guy were giving porn vibes and they were going to go from very angry to full on making out. Say it again now but angry!!! *kiss* On that note, I think Martin and Smitty's relationship is cute. 

This week feels weird so far, but it's probably because it has been heavy on characters and storylines I haven't really connected with.

Yes, maybe play a few beats before they hit the sheets.

At first Madison is in medical mode and rebuffs Chelsea. Chelsea is then super embarrassed,

Next time Madison, realizing she was a bit brusque tries to make amends but this time Chelsea covers, saying Madison misunderstood.

But Madison persists and they agree to catch up. Then a date at Uptown and so on.

Madison makes some moves, but Chelsea still hurting from the last break up, feels awkward and doesn't respond.

And so on....some build up.

Chelsea being in love already just had me rolling my eyes.

Andre is a busy body. All he has done the past couple of episodes is run around trying to find out Ashley and Derek's business. It's honestly quite pathetic.

Chelsea barely knows Dr. Montgomery and is already doing too much.

Doug actually stepped it up and showed some courage which was nice to see. He actually came off as tougher than NuTed despite being a tougher situation.

And it's just so relatable, too. And I find I understand both points of view. But again, they are at the perfect moment to be having the talks/fights they are having. 3 months in IS the right time to be doing a temperature check on your relationship status. How the drama from that and their POVs have been fun to watch. Add in their separate mess with people they have feelings for and BOOM!

 

And YES. I love they fight with as much passion as they love, too. 

 

It shouldn't even work, but it does. From frame one I might add.

OMG. I was thinking the same thing. It was cringe. The fact that this girl looks older than Smitty... doesn't help. But who talks like that (I would assume she has internet and can open wikipedia) or ask their father a question like that in 2025... Research or not. That's a very private question that deals with your parent's sex life. You don't just blurt out that question. Maybe I'm behind on something, maybe this is the tik tok era IQ stuff...  But... Imagine me asking my mother when I was younger - how is straight sex, mother...? Maybe I'm the prude in the situation. Don't know. Felt bizarre. Not reality based. Again... I was raised in a pretty uptight family... But still. It just doesn't sound believable. With a name like Samantha... And looking 30 years old... It's the added absurdity factor.

 

What school bish... You look like you are teaching the class. Give me a break. 😂
