Neither of these people look happy! KM is literally leaning away from him! At least he and LW are smiling in the other photos I saw. This is not how you promote something!

Jason is one of my favorites so I’ll be tuned in when he returns. I still feel robbed of the Jarly reunion fallout with Sonny so hopefully they get Carly out of this terrible Drew pairing and we start back where we left off.

Yeah… the above picture is definitely saying something lol

I think we all knew that this was going to happen eventually.

Hell, this wouldn’t have happened at all had it not been for the vaccine mandate. Kinda makes you wonder what Days would have been like.

Yikes.

As you all have pointed out, Kelly doesn't even look happy by his return and who can blame her?! Sam was stuck in the mob rut for decades and she's finally managed to get the stench off of her in recent years with Dante. I imagine she is not thrilled to know that Sam will revert to Jason's sidekick/mob moll again.

I say put him with Becky (Liz) at this point. She might be eager to work with Steve at this point, and it'll save her from that dreadful pairing with Michael Easton's character, who needs to go now.

Everything aside, it will always boggle my mind how this show allows the unholy trio (Sonny/Carly/Jason) to still have a stronghold on it when the fandom keeps rejecting anything pertaining to them. If anything, the 60th anniversary should've been a reset for this show--for them to truly start focusing on the hospital again. It always unnerved me how ABC has Grey's Anatomy sitting right there (and it is thriving), but they have not taken that model and implemented a bastardized, daytime version to GH

Which is appropriate, since the last time either character was even a little bit interesting was before The WB shut down.

I'll be frankly surprised if they go there again so soon. They could not end Jason/Sam fast enough after almost 20 years not long before he left, and Steve's Jason was quickly hitting up two new chicks in the same year shortly afterwards. This was very unusual for Jason. Something clearly happened with Steve and Kelly BTS.

I do think the show focuses a lot on the hospital, frankly. It began moving back to the hospital and its staff as a central hub starting with the soft reset of the show in 2005, when they were in major crisis and brought back Kimberly McCullough (at Steve's suggestion!) and hired Jason Thompson for her. Everything followed from that, and it's only grown since. Today a lot of folks work at the hospital or around it on the show, and it's the mob elements of the show that frankly are out of place and feel extraneous and old-fashioned vs. the rest of the show - it's played out, and only still there through ossified loyalty to veteran actors like Burton and Maurice and their rapt fanbases.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.

    • That was the best part of Tuesday's episode.  Martin and Smitty and their family are boring.
    • Crew Morrow's acting on Tuesday's episode was just dreadful. The weird faces he was making were just awful
    • Creatively, he probably should have stayed with The Doctors, where he stood out as an antihero lead. Not sure what happened with GH. He didn't have the same impact. Was it bad writing, not clicking with co-stars? Didn't they gave him a boat load of money to join GH in 1976? Was Mark Dante just a toned-down version of Nick Bellini? Were they basically the same character?
