ABC’s daytime lineup, consisting of “The View,” “General Hospital,” and “GMA3,” marked or tied season highs among the key sales demos, with the ABC News programs in particular hitting season highs among Total Viewers.
Despite a minor week-to-week drop among Women 18-49 (0.21 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.34 rating vs. 0.36 rating), “The Young and the Restless” hit a new season high among Total Viewers (2.992 million) and took back the No. 1 spot among soaps in Women 18-49, leading No. 2 “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “General Hospital” (0.19 rating, tie).

The increased viewership for the chatfest had a halo effect on the rest of the ABC daytime lineup, with “GMA3” seeing its best performance among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) since the week of February 10-14, 2025 and best among Women 25-54 (0.24 rating) since the week of March 3-7, 2025. After coming down just a bit in the key demos one week earlier, “General Hospital” once tied its season high among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.27 rating), tying for second place among soaps with “The Bold and the Beautiful” among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating), and topping time slot competitor “Beyond the Gates” in both demographics.

The CBS soap has also fallen behind former time slot holder “The Talk” among Women 18-49 for the eighth time in the 11 weeks thus far into the 2025-2026 television season.
