I hope this lasts as well, but I doubt it. Thorsten has been wanting to take an extended break for a while, correct? Perfect way to do it. If KKL wants a break, too, why not?

Brooke doesn't want Ridge's mess. She doesn't need Deacon or Bill. Let her go "find herself" somewhere and Brooke can come back with a new leading man she found in Europe. Take the time to find the perfect casting that will actually have chemistry with her...and DO NOT put her in another triangle with Taylor.

I would actually prefer a different Ridge as I've never been a fan of Thorsten.

This would be a great time to "reboot" the show. If Ridge and Brooke take a hiatus. Finish up Sheila's story. Let Thomas leave town for a bit because he's a "black sheep" again.

Move forward with Liam/Hope and Finn/Steffy without crossing into a triangle or quad. Bring Carter and Katie into focus with Bill's annoyance. Eric and Donna. Bring Felicia or Kristen back at Forrester.

Corny & cringy... so in other words, typical Bold & Beautiful.  LOL

Say what you will y'all, but we need these hos on this show. B&B without Brooke Logan Forrester / Katherine Kelly Lang is not a show worth sustaining. She is the tentpole alongside John McCook. They're not the typical matriarch and patriarch of a long-running soap series, but they are integral regardless. If the actors are looking to take long breaks, B&B's team need to beef up the next generation and/or bring back other Forrester children to take over the mantle. Lesli Kay? Winsor Harmon? (I'd probably opt for a recast Kristen Forrester and her husband if they were looking to bring her back longterm... Tracy Melchior is kinda weak sauce)

Adam Dusevoir is such a nice guy. I use to chat with him on social media when Jacob Young was still on the show and I watched B&B regularly. He always listened to the fans and never was nasty like other writers.  He took criticism very well.

Good theory. I foresee a short stint on Y&R, especially with Daniel back - she is Lucy's grandmother. Sheila will return to B&B and somehow get out of this mess. Hey, Taylor shot Bill (premeditated) and everyone has just swept that under the rug.

KB is still ratings gold to the show that was proven with the unusually high ratings of the special Halloween episode. Just bring Diana along to meet her brothers Ridge and Finn as well as her niece/sister-in-law Steffy. They have so much story that hasn't been touched instead of the usual rehashing.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
