So basically Danny's return was the 'Friday' cliffhanger while the next day episode was nothing (outside of that brief scene with the whole Nick/Sharon family together), but filler.

Well...counting the minutes to Danny and Cricket seeing each other should be worth the wait.

So Y&R have been listening to us!

When Christine was reminiscing, she actually got her own set. No idea where it was supposed to be, but assuming it was her own living room she's into snow cabin chic.

It was just a wall, a sofa, a table and some decor but showed it can be done. Cricket didn't move off the sofa so there was no need for much room, but this template could be used by putting in another wall and thereby having a cheap set that could be used for particular scenes.

What's puzzling though is that the Crimson Lights set was used that day and it would have been simple to pop Christine at a table on the 'terrace' to tape those scenes.

Maybe LLB's scenes were taped at a different time and just inserted.

Still puzzled about Glam Club and what it is exactly supposed to be - a nightclub that people visit during the day? OK

For reasons only known to Morina & Co Glam Club gets extras as patrons whereas Society and CL are only allowed silent staff.

One last set comment-where is the snowy park setting supposed to be?

At least it is something different.

I was SO happy when Lily said she needed a break from that loser. He wants Chelsea more than he wants Lily anyway.

I was so shocked to see Grand Phoenix lobby was back and actually full of extras.

I will never get over how Society is supposedly just the place to be but there’s never more than two people eating in there at a time, and most are Abby’s own family.

I don’t understand Noah’s club. What exactly is the age range? Why do so many people go to a club in the middle of the afternoon? And why is it so brightly lit?

I thought the Cristina set was nice and as mentioned above shows they could do these kind of things more often for characters.

I guess Sharon’s house is totally gone now. She literally lives at empty Crimson Lights being the town grandmother now. Apparently Sharon is only viable if she’s with Adam or Nick at this point.

But the GC crowd can be very fickle.

At one point the athletic Club was THE place to wine and dine and the suddenly it fell out of favor and everyone migrated to Society.

Similarly the Grotty Photobooth was a must there for a while but now is a no go zone.

Now patrons of all ages meet up at the Glum Club.

Can't remember the last time it was seen. Wasn't there some nonsense about Noah wanting to operate Glum from there?

Also forgot to mention Dive Bar which was another popular watering hole.

On the subject of flighty residents SOD year end summary provided this reminder of the transient nature of employment and business.

Victor sold Newman Media to Newman Enterprises.

Victoria folded the fashion platform so Chelsea was out of a job.

Adam filled in for Victoria as CEO of NE so Sally took over at NM.

Chloe became Sally's COO

Victoria returned as CEO so Adam became co CEO at Jabot

Victoria appointed Nick as her COO

Jack bought Marchetti

Kyle hired Diane for PR

Phyllis sold Grand Pheonix to work at Marchetti

Lily became CEO of Chancellor

Billy was COO

Lily and Devon merged their companies to form Chancellor Winters

Amandi and Imani joined the legal team

They both resigned.

Nate quite the hospital to join CW

Victoria replaced Sally with Nate

Sally started an Interior Design firm.

Billy started a podcast then dropped it

Nick accepted a job at New Hope with Nick

Noah quit NH and opened Glum Club

YOU GOT THAT?

    • It makes sense that she got a degree in directing. I've always said she should have been a director. I think she works better at the technical aspects of the show. I think her problem is the emotion/heart of a show.  She always guts the heart of the show she's on and she makes decisions that stop longtime viewers from watching a show. I don't think it's sexism to call that out especially as I've said similar things about Conboy. I've called out Rauch for much worse.
    • "Aunt Blanche" first appears toward the end of this episode, about 57 minutes in.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

I've never seen a trainwreck like this in my entire life. 5 pencils and 3 dolls?!!!!!!!!!!! (this little moment starts close to the 7th minute) WOW. THIS IS HAPPENING IN AMERICA?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.
