In regards to the age of the actress that's now playing Jordan, I looked her up and several sites have different birth years listed for her. Some say she was born in 1981 and some say 1985. IMDB currently has 1981, but that's user edited. Wikipedia currently has no birth year listed, but that's also user edited and looking at the editing history, the users couldn't agree on her age as there has been editing wars there for years with people switching back and forth between 1981 and 1985. Google has 1985, however that scrapes information from other websites and doesn't do any fact checking.

With all of this conflicting information, it's possible that the actress never actually disclosed her age and has chosen not to go public with it. Some actors and actresses like to keep their personal lives to themselves. Especially models/actresses since ageism still exists in show business. But let's say 1981 is the correct birth year for her, well at least we have an actress that's at least 40 now playing Jordan.

I'd also like to mention that whenever there's an age dispute, the majority of the time the older age ends up being the correct one.

What's with the blocking/editing by GH?  Why is she shown so close to the target?

They should have shown Anna F'ing Devane standing at the far wall of the room and throwing that axe from all the way across the room to get that bullseye.

I can only imagine how it would look if GH and Frank Valentini were to follow GL/Ellen Wheeler's example and tape everything on location in Mendocino.

Frank and his knack for budgeting is definitely the reason. The budget is also pretty good considering the economics of running a soap. Considering the set was used for three purposes, and can be used for future purposes, it's a great idea to have it where characters can socialize with each other. The team at GH is solid despite gripes about the writing and the bloated cast.

I think financially he is the only reason the show is still running. Frank has always been good at that (and the show looks better now, it must be said, than it did for much of the 2010s where everything was steel-gray). That doesn't mean I think creatively it's very good.

Agree.  At the moment, there's nothing wrong with GH's production values.  (The sets could be less generic-looking...but I could say that about most shows on television today).  The pieces are there for a good show.  GH just needs to trim the fat, cast-wise, and bring in a HW who knows how to write more gripping plots.  (It says too much that the denouement to the Peter August saga is the most exciting thing to have happened on that show in years.)

Oh, and Frank needs to stay the hell out of the writers' room, too.

    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.

    • Opal having siblings could add to the story. However, it raises questions about Tad's adoption. Why were the Martins allowed to adopt him if Tad had aunts or uncles who could have cared for him?  Logic limited the number of possible Gardner's (and whatever Opal's maiden name was).  Even though Linda Thorson would have been a hysterical choice given her British accent.  Especially because SOD often published questions by readers who wondered why Tad and Jenny didn't speak like their mother.   All of which is still not an excuse for Tad's evil doppelgänger Ted.
    • And if I remember correctly, at one point, they were considering having Linda Thorson play Opal's sister.
