He says the situation is not what anyone thinks (whatever that means). He says something vague that there was no paperwork - implying that they never filed a marriage license so they were never legally married. Something about not wanting to go into details, out of respect for Courtney, and that "she’s an amazing person, she’s an amazing woman, she’s an amazing dog mom." It was odd. They have never been friends but they have been heavily in one another's orbits and I don't mind their scenes. Agree with everyone the Chad Duell stuff sounds weird, but maybe he's thinks he saving face for both of them by saying it wasn't a legal marriage.
