Nothing happened on today's episode that was special for EJ/Belle.  They just have an interesting banter and some chemistry.  I would obviously break her up with Shawn.  Over her not being able to handle Jan being pregnant or a devil misunderstanding or something.

Well Paulina caught them at the end of the episode. What I personally liked during the episode was Allie and Chanel's dialog, and deciding to sleep platonically next to one another, but then Allie's heart opened and they made love..  I think this is a love story and not just a hookup. Granted, the sex was barely shown but I think the point was the actual love involved.

I feel like VK isn't even attempting to act anymore. She's just playing herself on screen. Having said that, I FFed Ben and Ciara today. Zero story, total filler. Thankfully their scenes were all really short.

I would love to see more lesbian sex but I know the Facebook grannies are clutching their pearls right now and we can't have that. The little bit we did get was nice. Poor Tripp

Allie cheated on him with a girl lol. No clue what they'll do with him once he and Allie inevitably break up.

I will be forever grateful to JoDevil if he gets Susan to leave Salem. Please tell me nobody stops her and gets her to stay. She is so annoying.

I have to laugh at the devil having all these powers now. So he can give people amnesia? How come MarDevil didn't just make Doug forget about the possession then? Mess.

Or if extraterrestrials kidnap the baby and switch it with an "alien baby."

(Heck, Salem's been visited by the devil twice.  Might as well go full-on supernatural.)

Haha

To get back at Allie, Tripp cheats with a guy. He and Paul then begin to date, which upsets Will and causes problems between him and Sonny

But wouldn’t the aliens be worried that the baby might start murdering them?

It’s a shame EJ can’t find a lawyer. Just a shame.

Bye Susan. Please stay away with your annoying, grating voice.

Chanel and Allie were BORING in bed. That was not hot.

So Johnny randomly dumped and humiliated his wife publicly, suddenly gave up his movie making dreams and decided he wants to work for DiMera, and is constantly going on and on about "NoNo"... and EJ doesn't think something is up? Man, this is dumb.

Did I miss the devil wanting to be a CEO when it was inside Marlena? MarDevil wanted a demon spawn but now JoDevil just wants to take over a company. Huh? Can the devil kill someone already? The devil isn't doing anything that normal Salem residents don't already do.

How is the facebook crowd reacting to the show this week? An interracial lesbian couple. They must be clutching onto their pearls for dear life.

I don't think the Chanel/Allie love scene was supposed to be hot sex. I thought it was tender, gentle, beautiful, and loving.

I liked today's show.  It wasn't amazing, but I liked Nicole/Belle having scenes.  I don't recall them interacting too often.  I don't like Ava/Tripp, but at least it's someone Ava should be in scenes with.   Allie/Chanel were okay-nothing special.

I do seriously judge EJ as a parent when he looks at Johnny's behavior and thinks it's all perfectly normal lol.

It seems like an extreme underreaction and I know EJ has things going on to worry about, but he should be a little concerned.   I don't think he should jump to the conclusion of the devil being in Johnny, but maybe less amused by him being openly awful than he is lol

Maybe DiMera's have some sort of evil gene that just randomly quicks in at one point, you know, like the stupidity gene on Simpsons (which only affects the males)? So EJ's just been waiting for this moment...

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
