In their original article, TVLine included this paragraph:
"All eyes now are on Rademacher’s castmate Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan and claimed in August that he had had tested positive for COVID after being “exposed at work.” While Burton hasn’t expounded on social media, as Rademacher has, there has been unverified speculation that he has thus far chosen not to be vaccinated."

In the current version of that same TVLine article, that paragraph about Burton has been removed.

(I do believe Burton is gone.
Just noticing that TVLine decided not to say it.)

On The SOD Newest Podcast where they interviewed Emma Samms (who is still dealing with LONG COVID), They discuss Ingo being out due to not being vaccinated and state that at least one more is out & news should drop soon

Well considering that Ingo's final episode is Nov 22, I imagine Burton's final episode will also be soon. There will have to be something in the script saying Jason has left town, is missing, is dead, or is in a coma, etc. to explain Burton no longer being on screen.   And/or a recast would be announced.

I doubt either role is currently being recast

I could see a Jax recast as I feel That Transphobic meme he shared wont get him back on GH even if he got vaccinated

I feel with Burton if he would get vaccinated GH would ask him back. So I see them leaving Jason's exit open ended

Not soap-related, but relevant to the Disney mandate.

"Original 9-1-1 cast member Rockmond Dunbar is leaving the hit Fox drama series after more than four seasons. His character, Michael Grant, was abruptly written off in last night’s episode. According to sources, Dunbar’s departure stems from the new Covid protocols on the show, produced by Disney TV Studios’ 20th Television, which require all actors to be vaccinated."

    • It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.   Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.   I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'
    • And if they go there, it could also be tied to Johnny completely cutting him off, possibly going to work for Titan, etc.
    • @AbcNbc247 maybe it is just that they've gone to that well too often, and I don't like when DAYS goes dark, but I'm OK with EJ abusing drugs, and just skipping the whole sobriety part. Side note: experiencing hallucinations of my son killing me would be enough for me to never want to take a pill again.

    • Part of the reason that Courtney worked at OLTL was because the show had an actual character for her to play.  One that was somewhat different than her character on AW, and after the way she was treated over at AW.. it had to have been nice to be courted onto a new soap that actually valued your contributions.
    • I figured the "long" was already implied

    • The show has finally figured out the correct scene to have at the end of the episode. The one thing I loved about the show today was that we got a pretty decent length scene of Silk Press Sheila at the celebration without any cutaways.  It reminded me of an old school soap opera scene that would run several moments (i.e. Renee's long speech going after the upstanding citizens of Salem on Days in 1983 before her murder).   I think Anita and Silk Press Sheila would be evenly matched.. she would be the one person that Anita would have to work to get the best of.    I do agree that Derek/Ashley were probably cut from the episode.. and maybe their scenes will be used in a different episode.  The scenes that were included (Bill/Hayley and Vanessa/Doug) had something to do with the scenes going on at the party.    Unpopular opinion:  I actually prefer Bill with Hayley.. .they make a good couple.
